Lies are better sometimes

Situ Xun's smile did not falter as he turned his head and looked out of the window of the carriage before saying, "It's true that those actions were committed by humans but it would be wrong to say that the curse did not play its role. If not why would Ziyu quarrel with Xiao Ai that very night? Why would she run away on that very night when we couldn't save her? It's wrong to say that it happened because of the curse but it would also be wrong to say that it never played wrong." 

He paused and turned his head such that his gaze would meet with Yin Zhu as he continued, "  I don't know what Zhilan told you but she was most probably right about everything. With what happened to Xiao Ai, we should let you go and never get in touch with you ever again," a wry smile etched on his lips as he softly added, " But we don't want to." 

" Why?" Yin Zhu asked with her hands squeezed tightly in her lap. " You can let me go, I am not important to you, young masters."
