Treachery hidden in smiles

Yin Zhu felt her head throb when she thought about how she had to stay calm despite being the centre of attention that evening. Payton and she made her way towards Situ Xun's manor when she noticed that several servants rushing to decorate the garden along with the lamp poles which were scattered all over the side of the paths winded across one manor to another.

Flowers of difficult shades of white and pink were tied and wrapped around the poles. White roses, lilies with pink peonies, she also noticed strings of pearls being tied in a single strand and then those pearls were hung around the head of the lamp making it look like an exquisite chandelier. The paths were covered by red carpets even though Yin Zhu was sure that no one would come this far.

" Then I will see you in the evening, Miss Yin," Payton brought her to the front of the manor and then bowed politely. " I need to help master with something which is why I will take my leave now."
