Staying For Now

Clyde finally saw the floating landmass holding the mansion that stood in stark contrast to the fragmented world around it. Unlike the other shattered islands that drifted unevenly, twisting and tilting in the air as if they might crumble at any moment, this landmass floated perfectly level as if unseen pillars were holding it in place.

It was stable. As if untouched by the chaotic forces that had reduced the rest of this world to ruins.

The mansion itself was imposing. It wasn't a grand and shining palace but rather a dark gothic structure with high spired rooftops and walls that seemed to have withstood countless ages.

Blackened stone reinforced with strange runes that shining faintly with crimson light formed its foundation. Its windows were narrow and elongated.

Around the mansion, clusters of floating landmasses formed a natural perimeter, covered in twisted forests and dense bushes.
