Even if they didn't speak about it openly, Clyde was sure that Graemory, their master, had explained it to them through some means he didn't know. She must have told them about the corruption spreading outside the Ruins, and the drastic changes that had taken place.
And that Clyde was one of the main causes behind those changes.
