And that was not all; the more Ray looked at Evan's memories, the more he realized just how troublesome his situation was.

According to what Elora had told Evan, the groups of monsters attack the pillar of light every few months in order to get inside it.

Only during the time of the monster attack does she stay near the pillar of light; otherwise, she spends most of her time in her cave abode, sleeping.

After learning that Elora usually stays in her cave and goes to the pillar of light only during the monster tide, Evan thought she might know a safe route that allows her to travel between her cave abode and the pillar of light.
