His response was a simple "Yes," and he settled into his seat.

"Spenser, why did you have to marry her?" His inquiry was direct. "And by that I mean that she has no control over anything at all. You must agree that this is not good for your professional standing, right? "

"Don't worry about it, Viscar; she wouldn't be useful around here anyhow. "He stopped to pick up a sheet from the table.
