Chapter 2 The Raid Boss

Hurrying to the Raid Boss area. Rex was using everything he had to run. The Twin Axes did not hinder him in any way but just the distance between the two is what hurt him.

"I am glad to have guardians who care about me. I also wish that they would not joke around with me the way they do." Rex sighed.

Running at full speed, Rex barely managed to get to the Raid Boss before time with just a singular minute to spare.

"How was your morning darling?" Iris had an angry tone.

"It is not like that Iris," Liz spoke, "It is 'How was your morning darling'?" Liz finished in a loving tone.

Rex heard the Ding that the Raid Boss was ready for them.

Rex typed the name of their group in: The Six Delights.

The reason was simply for their beauty. Usually no one would dare to turn away from their beauty. Even though many had tried to marry them. They had gotten turned down each and every time.

"Enter" A feminine voice said.

The six of them entered.

Then a screen showed up in all the nine realms to showcase the battle. It was something that happened every time but it was still something that sent shivers down people's spine.

"Five minutes to prepare yourselves." The feminine voice said.

"Do well Rex." Margaret spoke first.

"Hope you battle with your heart on the line here." Liz said next.

"You belong to me so," Iris kissed him after speaking.

"Do your best." Amber spoke.

Violet did not say anything but gave him a small plant.

Rex headed towards the center. With mountain ranges surrounding, no one could get an advantage because of the Raid Boss's height measuring up to the tallest peak.

With Rex sitting on the edge of the battle zone. A dark shadow overcame the battle zone. Many had fallen just due to what happened next. Rex having battled this boss several times knew the first attack was a fire breath and where he was is the safest spot in the entire zone. There was no cover, not able to use Qi to summon a shield, no way to prevent the battle zone from becoming a desert, and no way to prevent the mountains from being blown up.

A massive fireball was seen coming down and just like Rex knew he was safe where he was. The hardened ground became sand, the mountains all blew up except for the one that is the player safe zone, and finally the voice of the Raid Boss.

"Those who dare to enter my domain shall feel my wrath!" The voice echoed throughout the new battle zone.

Rex stood up and summoned his Twin Scale Axes. Slamming them into the ground actually changed the landscape back to normal. This was something that not even Rex planned.

"Well, I might have screwed the hell up now." Rex thought in the back of his mind.

Taking off his white robe, one could actually see all the scars from all the battles he had done. They also saw his overly muscular body, it looked like a body builder on steroids with all the muscle he had. To see his brown shorts showing that he could have tamed beasts with him. Then the bright red sandals showing his strength is maxed out in the fourth Realm.

Rex lifted his axes back up and slowly made his way to a white line on the battlefield. Then the Raid Boss, a fragment of the Evil Black Dragon, came down from the sky.

Looking straight at Rex, and then looking around knowing full well something was off. Rex did not think much about it because normally the Raid Boss would do this to figure out where everyone went.

"So do you fully challenge me for a one-on-one battle?" The Raid Boss asked.

Rex froze in that spot. Not once did he even think the Raid Boss had any sentience. Hearing that, Rex began to feel Death. He had fought this Raid Boss several times and never once felt death coming from it. Now that he wants to solo battle it, he could feel the death coming from it.

"I fully expect to lose now. I will still fight you one-on-one now." Rex got into a battle position.

The Raid Boss looked deeply into Rex's eyes. Seeing the determination in his eyes. The Raid Boss gave him an ultimatum.

"If you can injure me with my own scales. I will declare you worthy of battling against me. If you cannot and/or give up. You and your group will never be allowed to enter this domain again."

Knowing that Raid Boss, actually knows each and every person who enters the domain. Rex began to feel despair. Not only was this a selfish fight but if he lost, everything he had worked for would be lost. He did not have the Qi stones to pay the blacksmith. He could ask his guardians for help but it was not worth it to him. He would rather be homeless and find a way to rebuild.

Knowing that if he lost he would have handed his guardians a golden platter to go screw themselves. He felt even worse about that than being homeless.

"Rex, do not let that dragon make you feel depressed. We will always be there with and for you." Iris was waving the Six Delights flag.

Their flag had a fire, a water, a holy, a dark, and a tree symbol all around a picture of Rex.

Rex turned and saw their flag. He wanted to give up and not accept the fight but seeing how one of his precious guardians was waving their flag for him. He knew then he could not give up.

"This makes things interesting." The Raid Boss spoke.

Liz came out and sent a flame to Rex's axes. Getting a fire blessing was something that most people envied but for this fight. No one person envied Rex that were actually praising Liz for doing something for the group.

"Melt those scales off and let's go celebrate." Liz shouted.

Feeling even better, Rex turned around and faced the Raid Boss.

"Rex, you have only one technique that could actually hurt the Raid Boss for this bet. Here is the way to completely use it and not suffer backlash." Amber blessed Rex with a holy blessing.

The holy blessing he got was nothing special. It just allowed him to use everything he had and not get tired.

"I guess I also have to do something myself." Violet answered.

She gave him a blessing of nature and that would reduce the damage he got. It was not much but knowing he could hurt himself with his own power. She thought this was the best course of action.

"Here is mine also." Margaret said and blessed him with a dark blessing.

The blessing focused on killing cultivators and beasts. If one was with a good sect the amount of damage would be doubled. If it was a beast the number of attacks that actually would hit would be doubled. If it was against a fellow cultivator of the dark arts it would double the attacks that missed hitting the blessed.

With these blessings, Rex felt a huge increase of love coming from the women whom he had grown close to over the past 23 years.

Since tomorrow would be his 24th birthday, he wanted something that would mark his name down in history.

"Let us begin the battle of the realms." Rex roared.

The Raid Boss just gave a silent confirmation that is battle would truly affect how the mortal realms would be after this.
