Rex woke up and felt extremely rejuvenated. He had never once felt this good. He looked around and did not see the Apex Swimmer.
"What a shame." Rex said.
He quickly looked around him again and noticed that the Apex Elemental was also missing.
"Where did he go?" Rex questioned.
An urge to check the notification box came upon Rex. He went and checked it out.
"Congratulations on learning why there are so many Apex creatures being born."
[Secondary Quest completed. Since an additional Quest and this Quest have been completed. You can go to the Fourth Realm but not in advancement to the Fourth Realm.]
Rex questioned himself why he could go there like that. He refrained from doing so to continue the check on the notifications.
"Congratulations on increasing your Godly Route Water Dantian. Due to the increase, a reward will be given to you in the Fourth Realm."
Rex understood why he had been given the chance to enter the Fourth Realm. He still wanted to see the notifications.
"You have been given the Water Qi technique: Watered World."
Rex went to try the technique out. Rex could feel the water moving to his will. A sphere was around Rex. No matter where Rex went, he was always the center of it.
"This is amazing!" Rex was overjoyed.
He finally stopped the technique after ten minutes. He went to see what other techniques he had learned.
"You have been given the Water Qi technique: Never Ending Flow."
Rex tried it out and found that he had no control over his speed in the water. No matter how much he tried, he just could not stop.
Once the Apex Swimmer saw the Rex had tried the Never Ending Flow technique out. It was surprised to see that Rex could not stop it or slow down.
Swimming as fast as it could. It found that helping Rex out was a lot more trouble than what it was worth now.
"How is he this fast and not even using the technique properly?!" The Apex Swimmer frowned in thought.
Rex finally hit something, and he could not tell what it was. The sound of glass cracking was heard.
"What happened?" Rex spoke.
Just behind Rex was a breath. It drew the water away from the side. Rex felt that he was forcefully being dragged away from the spot he was in.
Not a moment later, Rex could see the other Apex Creature Layers. It was astounding at first until all looked at Rex angrily, and Rex smiled back.
The Apex Swimmer appeared behind Rex. The other Apex creatures all just backed away and acted like nothing happened.
"This is something new." Rex spoke.
To Rex, this was something new. To the Apex creatures who had been under the previous Alpha Apex. They knew not to interfere with it.
"Greetings, young man. I failed to introduce myself properly last night."
Rex looked behind him to find the Apex Swimmer. Just a massive shadow with two amethyst jeweled colored eyes is all Rex saw.
"Such beautiful jeweled eyes." Rex could not help but say.
The Apex Swimmer found Rex's comment funny. Usually, people say horrible things about the jeweled eyes. Either about the fear of the Apex Swimmer because of the jeweled eyes or the fact color of them reminds them of bad looking people.
"Can I ask that you do not use that technique I taught you last night again for a while?" The Apex Swimmer asked.
Rex laughed and nodded, yes. Not because he found it funny, for the fact that he himself found it hard to control.
"I believe you have used two of the techniques now. What have you thought of them?" The Apex Swimmer asked.
"The Watered World technique is truly marvelous. I know it is overpowered in a spot where water is. Even without it, I still feel like the technique itself is really good."
The Apex Swimmer felt a tinge of happiness that Rex found the first technique good. It honestly felt that Rex would say something bad about the second technique.
"As for the second technique, the Never Ending Flow. I have to really train on that technique because I can not always lose control while traveling like that." Rex answered.
Hearing the answer, a soft light glowed from the Apex Swimmer. Rex felt the light was calling to him.
He tried to slowly inch himself closer to it. Almost unseemingly being pulled into it.
A surge of Qi awoke Rex, and he noticed that he and the Apex Swimmer were next to the Apex Elemental.
"Would you mind trying the last technique before we leave, please?" The Apex Elemental bowed.
Rex figured the Apex Swimmer had already told him about what all had transpired. He found nothing wrong with trying the last technique out.
"Water Qi technique: Water Fountain of Love." Rex tried to imagine a beautiful scene with him and a loved one.
The fountain is made of a heart shape. A singular pole rising up. At the top of the pole, water shots out like water hearts.
The scene was truly beautiful in Rex's mind. Once he opened his eyes, he found the Apex Swimmer being a mermaid and that the two had actually hugged each other in the midst of learning the technique itself.
"Your smell is wonderful. It reminds me of being on the ocean itself while being embraced by a loved one." Rex whispered.
The Apex Swimmer swam off.
"I feel like I want to," before the Apex Elemental could finish.
Rex had already shut his mouth with his hand.
"I want to explore the depths of all the oceans with you. Make sure to be ready when I call." Rex said.
The two left the Water Layer.
Meanwhile
"I actually hugged the Mortal Man. I can no longer hold the title of Apex anymore. I hope that he will win against the Alpha Apex and destroy the Apex Predator so that way we can stay close." The Apex Swimmer sang throughout the water.
