Thud, Thud, silence Thudthud
As the sounds that came to group. As for the Fire King, he knew of only two commanders that could make something like that.
"It is either a Spider Commander or the Giant Commaner." The Fire King stated.
"Which Spider commanders do you know of?" The Ancient Zuggurant asked.
"Any of the usual Qi plus with their natural poison talent. The biggest problem will be the Giant Commander. There natural strength able to go toe to toe with any of the Demon Kings." The Fire King stated.
The Ancient Zuggurant felt a headache coming on.
"Prepare for the battle ahead! Ensure that one of everyone type is close to the front depending what we face we may have to fight hard or strategically." The Ancient Zuggurant commanded.
Everyone got into position.
Once again, thud, thud, silence thudthud.
Instead what showed up was an army of mice. Their tails all smacking against the ground at the same time made the thud noises.
"NO FIRE OR WATER QI ATTACK! USE NATURE AND EARTH QI TO MAKE THEM UNABLE TO FIND AN EXIT! EVERYTHING ELSE UNLEASE HELL ON THEM!" The Fire King roared.
The mice did get trapped in circles around each other unable to know that they were killing each other and being attacked from the outside.
"How did mice do the thud noises?" The Ancient Zuggurant asked.
"Something has happened to make the predictions unpredictable. Only the Giant and Spider Commanders use the Thud noises has their coming to the enemy." The Fire King stated.
The Fire King used a curse to make the mice heat up the earth underneath their feet. Their natural reaction to attack the ground became attacks to either the dead or attack the living as the trampled on each other.
"How many are left?" The Fire King asked after five minutes.
"Roughly a thousand still." The Ancient Zuggurant replied.
Finally, when all of them were killed Roughly fifteen minutes later. Everyone felt that they needed to rest.
"Should we rest or try and continue forward?" The Beastmen asked.
"We need to rest but we do need to continue on." The Ancient Zuggurant replied.
"Everyone rest. I will protect everyone." The spider spoke.
"Listen to her and rest fast and hard. For we do not know when we will be attacked." The Ancient Zuggurant spoke.
Meanwhile
"Surprising isn't it?" Rex spoke.
"Indeed to use Earth and Nature Qi to force the mice patrol into going in circles and attacking each other in hopes of killing less." The woman spoke.
"Allow them four hours of pure rest and start the advancement of the next group in four and half hours. Allowing them to wake up without hurting each other or themselves." Rex spoke.
"Three hours of rest max if we want an additional time to wake up." The woman spoke.
"The army can start their advancement in four hours. Just make sure that they are not close enough within thirty minutes to cause mayhem within the group to cause people to be hurt." Rex spoke.
"Very well. I will accept it." The woman spoke.
"Rest well guys, four hours comes and goes quickly." Rex whispered to the screen showing their fight.
Meanwhile
"Four hours is indeed not enough time. That will probably be all that we can get." The Ancient Zuggurant spoke to the spider.
"Your webs will naturally alert you so just be ready." The Ancient Zuggurant spoke after closing his eyes.
So the group rested hard for four hours. Their Qi replenishment not near enough to fight hard but not enough for a long fight either.
When the Thud, Thud, silence Thudthud noises came back.
The group was instantly woken up. Most of them ready to die in this fight. Unlike the previous fights, they knew that over doing their Qi would kill them now because once one falls. They will all begin to overwork causing the massive chain reaction to all of them.
Of course everyone was up and ready within fifteen minutes. The presence of the whoever was coming sure enough to threaten them to the bone.
When the Thud noises were listened to now. It sounded a lot more than normal.
"Everyone, prepare for double trouble. I believe it is another big army or a duo of the Spider and Giant Commanders." The Fire King stated.
He was sure that whatever was coming would be extremely bad either way.
Silence filled the corridor as the group prepared for death.
"Charge!" A voice sounded hoarse.
"MMMMAAAAAA" The sounds of charging and screams.
"Goat Army everyone!" The frustration eating at the Fire King as he stated.
The goats came charging. Their natural charge ready for whatever came their way.
The goat army got stopped by Fire Qi users blasting them back as they approached.
"When will this shit end?" The spider spoke.
"Something is wrong here. He cannot get anything right, either that means that he is being toyed with or we got help from Leader Tex." The Ancient Zuggurant spoke.
"Oh." The spider gleamed with interest as she thought of the Fire King being toyed with.
The goat army was killed and the group decided to try and advance even if it would only be a short distance ahead.
"I am sorry. I do not know why such stupid things are happening. The goat army usually comes with a stampede style run." The Fire King stated.
"Do not worry about what is going on. Worry about what we can do to prevent this from happening." The Ancient Zuggurant spoke.
"Personally, I believe that either the man who killed the serpent is either helping us or the End Boss is simply playing around with me before I die." The Fire King sorrowfully let the words flow.
"Just as I expected. Which do you believe in?" The Ancient Zuggurant asked.
"I want to hope that the man who killed the serpent is helping us. I also cannot give myself any false hope until we exit from here." The Fire King let the sorrow flow again.
"Even he expects the unexpected." The spider thought.
