The maids all rushed after gently leaving the bath. This was to get dressed and make sure by the morning their duty was done.
First, they selected each one to go to various store owners. Of course they knew where they lived because of different reasons. Then one got selected to visit the ruler.
This is going to become a grand festival for the Oracle. However, only if the current ruling family is one hundred backing it would it become something truly marvelous.
With the store owners and the ruler ready to be visited. Each dashed off to visit their respective owner. The store owners could be forced into making this a wonderful festival but the ruling family was something else.

"Well damn me and my family. No matter which path I choose the end game is death. Well, I guess it be sucking either way." Savannah replied.
"Any progress?" A shadow moved.
"I cannot even try to make a move on the Oracle with the current Demon King of Annihilation watching his back." Savannah replied.
The shadow seemed to misunderstand what was said.
"There is a Demon King watching the Oracle?" The shadow moved.
"Yes. The current Demon King of Annihilation." Savannah replied.
The shadow seemed to disappear.
"This always end badly for folks." Savannah spoke to the emptiness of space.
A few minutes later the shadow reappeared.
"We cannot cancel the mission but we are going to extend the time frame. How long do you think he will be here?" The shadow replied.
"Honestly, he arrived tonight. There is no telling how long either he will want to stay or the Oracle will grant him the stay." Savannah spoke.
"I will do my best to extend it for a long time. Remember, the Oracle must die. You will remember the consequences." The shadow spoke and disappeared again.
"Not like I could give up or fail either way." Savannah replied.
From across the door was Rex who listened carefully to the situation.
"Seems like will come with the Festival." A devilish smile came on Rex's face.
He had gotten a notification to help Savannah free her family from corrupted nobles who wished for the death of the Oracle.
"This is going to be fun." He thought.
He walked into the moonlight. A full moon was there to witness what Rex would do.
"Time for silly songs while walking." Rex spoke.
"~dum~ Oh the moonlight is a friend to those who hunt in the night. ~dum~ Oh how the death of in the night is horrible. ~dum~ Oh how the moonlight is a foe to those who do not know what it does. ~dum~ How the moonlight walks up the sleeping. ~dum~ How much did it cost to come up with such a stupid song?"
Rex smiled genuinely. He knew that he needed to smile normally but with everything on his shoulders. He just could not naturally allow himself to be there.
"Time for a hunt." Rex spoke and vanished into the shadows.
Just a few minutes later, screams entered the town of men, women, and children. Rex was casually stepping on people to get the answers he wanted.
Some legs forever unusable, some arms just snapped, an occasional head stomp to be person, but this group was not talking.
"Farewell." Rex said and just simply crushed their heads.
He searched the house. He found some people. Mostly were starved, chained up to prevent cultivation, at least they were given water to quench their thirst.
"All in a moonlights work." Rex said.
Since he knew that people would be storming the house. He figured he would just wait down here and allow whoever to see what was going on see it for themselves.
Several people rushed to the ruling family's house. The screams they heard made it seem like something truly horrible happened to a noble family.
When they entered the house, the Oracle's maid to ensure that the festival was going to happen was there.
"We beg of your forgiveness. Something major happened in one of the noble's houses. The screams were of pure terror and pain." The people began to explain.
"Captain." The ruler declared.
"Yes sir." A slim man replied.
"Go visit this noble family that these people have declared as in pain. Make sure that everything is reported back to me." The ruler replied.
It was not the first time that this happened. It was the first time that so many people had heard of the screams and were able to make it to him. It would also give the ruler an understanding of the corruption inside his city.
Meanwhile
"This is going to be a great Festival. Not only I but my family will be close by. Even giving Rex two of my daughters as maids is wonderful." The Oracle could not contain himself.
Of course, once he learned of what truly was happening in the town. He would be the first one in line to make sure that his family and all of those connections to him were protected.
Meanwhile
"Seems like someone is entering my web." Rex smiled.
The one entering was the captain. Rex was not going to let any emotions get the better of him.
"How Festivals of Blood make for a great start to a good morning sun!" Rex spoke.
The door opened and the captain had a look of pure fear. The people chained up on the left. Various tools that have gone missing from the ruling family lined up against the wall with the door. The tools that could make people fear what would happen and the ways to force the prisoners to watch against a table on the back side.
"Good sir, may I ask why you killed this noble family?" The captain asked.
"Their daughter was tasked with killing the Oracle. Of course this noble family and others will die. I just can't wait to hear the screams of everyone around." Rex happily spoke.
Fear entered the people. This was not a person but a true demon at heart.
