"What secret?"

"Well...your relationship with him, I won't tell anyone."

Blake and Marissa knew each other since they were young, but one accident cost Blake his chances at being with Marissa. So against his better judgement, in order to be near her, he agreed to be her best friend.

Ten years later, using the pressure his family imposed upon him to get married. Blake concocted a plan to enlist Melissa's help. Her role was to play as his wife.

The officer chuckled seeing Blake and Doma's faces. "I know what you are thinking, but no. She and your wife are not related to each other. Perhaps, a doppelganger?"

"So, now you are saying, this Eidan kidnapped my wife just because he looked like his ex fiance?" Blake slowly tried to understand the situation.

"That is what we believe for now." The officer said.

"But why…?" Blake paused, "Why did he do that to Marissa if he thought she was his fiance?"

"Ex, Mr. Blake. Their engagement broke a week before her death. She committed suicide." He pursed his lips straight, delivering the details.

Blake felt like he needed to take care of his heart. One after another, the news shocked him. "Any info why?"
