The Trauma

It had been a week since Blake was discharged from the hospital following the kidnapping incident. He had undergone thorough medical treatment and examinations to ensure he hadn't sustained any additional injuries. Meanwhile, Archer had been resting at his own house after being discharged the previous day.

Marissa grew increasingly concerned as she noticed Blake's unusual silence and distant behaviour. He spent most of his time standing by the window in their room, his gaze fixed on the scenery outside, seemingly lost in thought.

"Are you okay?" Marissa asked, her hand gently wrapping around his waist.

But Blake flinched, clearly startled by Marissa's sudden greeting. "Oh, I'm sorry," he said, cupping his face and feeling remorseful. "Are you ready?"

"Hmm," Marissa nodded. "If you're not feeling well, you can rest. I can go by myself," she offered, gently reaching for his hand.
