DEVON
I staggered back a little as Elena took me by surprise. She ran to me and lunged at me, throwing her arms around my neck. I quickly held her steady against me before we both went crashing on the ground.
She hugged me so tightly that I thought she would either squeeze the life out of me or blow another life in me.
"I was looking for you all this time. I thought... I thought I would never get to see you again." Her voice trembled. Her warm breaths sent tingles all the way down into my body.
My fists clenched behind her back. The secret I was trying to hide for all this time was now in the light. Elena found out everything, and it was all my fault. I should have kept my art studio locked before taking her home.
Now I was left with no choice but than accepting the truth.
But how was I supposed to explain to her why I didn't go back to her then? I gulped, not knowing how to handle this situation.
