DEVON
The meeting ended on a good note, and my mind instantly ran to the woman who must be waiting for me. As I stepped out of the conference room, I checked my watch to see it had been three hours.
I sighed, knowing Elena must have finished half of the shopping and now the things that remained needed both of us present to make the choices.
I checked my phone to see there were no messages or calls from her. I frowned and was a bit disappointed. Was she still mad at me for what happened last night?
I walked into a corner and dialled her number. She picked up the call on the very first ring as if she was waiting for my call all this while. That brought a small smile to my face.
"Hello? Devon? Are you okay? Is everything fine there? What took you so long? Do you know how worried I was! If it wasn't for Joanna then I would have bombarded you with calls and messages like crazy. And-"
"Hold on Elena," I told her with a smile.
