"So she *what*?"

"Uh, she escaped. You know, while I wasn't looking."

Outside of an old, creaky warehouse, Ryker and Lilliana stood guard while Hu Long and Yuan Fu had gone inside to search for Cui Feng. Or rather, it was more like Lilliana was scolding Ryker as he kneeled on the cold ground in repentance.

"Really. And you had absolutely nothing to do with that, huh?"

"I, uh, don't know what you might be implying…?"

"Mini C, is he telling the truth?"

At Lilliana's prompting, Mini C popped up above Ryker's shoulder, hands behind his back solemnly.

[The suspect did indeed escape, and Ryker was not looking, at the time.]

"Really. And he didn't help her escape at all, huh?"

[... No comment.]

Lilliana shot Ryker a nasty glare, to which he whistled and looked off to the side, playing dumb.

"Dude, come on! I thought you were gonna back me up," he whispered harshly.

[You know I can't lie to her.]
