Today was the day a ceremony was held to welcome my arrival to Baneria, I wasn't really excited about it after the scene I saw the last two days, and I didn't seem to be acting like myself anymore, Diana and Yvonne seem to have noticed, as they kept questioning me to tell them what happened that day but I still said nothing.
I try to smile whenever they were around so they won't ask me about it again I also wrote a letter to my mum and brother telling them how much I missed them.
Some group of maids was decorating my hair with beautiful hair ornaments, applying makeup that perfectly fit my small round face, I was also wearing a beautiful royal blue ball gown.
"she's so breathtaking,"
"her skin is pretty,"
"I'm certain that when my brother sees her, he won't be able to get his eyes off her," Diana and Yvonne were commenting about my beauty from behind, they were both in their best dresses.
The maids were finally done dressing me up, as they began to pack what they came with and left the room.
"Look how cute you are," Yvonne hugging one side of my hand.
"I would have given you a peck on the face, but that would mean ruining your makeup, which won't be good," Diana taunted causing all of us to laugh, a knock on the door stopped us from laughing.
"who's there," I inquired curiously.
"I'm sorry to disturb you my lady but you have been told by the King and all the guests are already waiting for your arrival
"Okay I'll be there shortly," I told her as she bowed and left the room
we should better be going we don't want to keep the guest Waiting anymore Diana said as we exited the door holding each other hands
I walk steadily down the stairs with Yvonne and Diana still holding my hands, his majesty and the rest of the royal family seems to be waiting for my arrival their backs facing me, and their front facing the crowd of people that were also waiting for my arrival too,
The prince seems to be the first person to notice my arrival which made Yvonne and Diana give cheeky smiles, but stopped when they noticed I was t smiling back,
"I hope you're okay," Diana asked in concern.
"of course I am," I lied with an assuring smile, I was glad when she smiled back,
"don't get too nervous okay," she informed me, gently patting me on the back.
I was finally beside the rest of the royal family, Diana stood beside me while Yvonne left to stand with the rest of the crowd.
"your Majesty," I greeted the King, holding the flares of my dress with my hands and making a courtesy.
"rise my daughter," he ordered me, offering his hand which I held gently, the music came to a stop, causing the crowd of people to stop chattering and dancing, as they gave their full concentration to what the king was about to say, Eric was busy staring at me but I pretended not to notice, I won't allow him to get to me in anyway.
"Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, prince Eric's wife and the future Queen of Baneria, Princess Zara Vance," the king announced as everybody in the ballroom began to applaud.
the prince came towards me, holding my hand and took me towards the crowd of people, who came to compliment me and praised Eric.
"she's such a beauty, I must say you have great taste for women," a man with blonde golden hair, and a goatee that was of the same color started to laud coming toward our direction.
"I'm glad you find her worthy,"
"Who wouldn't love such a beauty, I heard Endoria is filled with women that could steal your heart just by looking at you, maybe I'll have my son visit there to pick a wife," he uttered, causing me to laugh at his words.
"how unmannered of me to be in front of a future queen and not introduce myself, please call me Dudley, Duke of Baneria," he introduced reaching for my hand to kiss the back of my fingers, Baneria men were known to be open and more romantic towards women, they kissed the back of a woman's finger that they considered attractive
"It's a pleasure to know you, Mr. Dudley," I apprised, unable to hide my blush, I noticed prince Eric was glaring at me but I acted oblivious still smiling at Mr. Dudley, after all he too did the same once.
"the pleasure is all mine, my princess,"
"it was nice knowing you came to the ceremony Duke Dudley," prince eric spoke up
"of course, I wouldn't miss it for anything,"
"I appreciate and if you can please excuse us we have more guests to talk to," prince Eric said dragging me along with him to walk away.
" you're flirting in front of me now, huh," his question kind of shocked me, making me give him a mocking look,
"am I not allowed to compliment back at someone," I questioned.
"oh...thought you were just finding means to get even with,"
I can't believe I'm married to a jerk, who is so full of himself, I know we never married for love but the fact that he's not even remorse about me seeing him with his lover on the bed.
"Because you're a fool does not mean that everybody has to be a fool like you," I snarled, bulging my eyes out at him,
"be careful of the way you speak to me...,"
"daughter in law," his mother interrupted, making him step back as we both put on a fake smiles.
"ohhh, don't you two look good for each other," if only she knew the type of son she had.
"I hope my son has been treating you well," she questioned
"of course," I lied.
"that's good to know, I'm sorry we haven't been communicating much with each other, Diana has been telling me wonderful things about you," she told me, as we both began to laugh,
"I'll leave you two to discuss," Eric glared at me before walking away
I found her jovial behavior very similar to that of Diana.
"you know, Eric was always afraid of spiders, he fainted when his sister brought one close to him," she was telling me about her son's childhood.
"is he still afraid of spiders," I inquired drinking the glass of wine I was holding.
"no..., I'm sure he's a brave man now," she said, as we both laugh.
