Viktor Redwood was sitting in his home studio. He had just finished recording some new songs for the band that he and Yuuri were in charge of.

Viktor had made up his mind to go back to Korea to perform a show. It wouldn't be a surprise if the public knew who he was after having such an exciting career.

Yuuri was working on choreography while Viktor recorded, when Viktor looked over at his boyfriend.

He smiled as he noticed that Yuuri had fallen asleep with his head resting on Viktor's shoulder. He gently stroked the side of Yuuri's face.

"I think we should take a break," He said softly. He knew that it might be difficult but he couldn't stand seeing Yuuri fall asleep in a chair like this. He carefully slipped out from underneath Yuuri and got ready to leave when Yuuri woke up.

"What are you doing?" Yuuri groaned. He rubbed his eyes then looked up at Viktor. His eyes widened when he saw where Viktor had been going. Viktor gave him a smile as he walked towards their bedroom.

Viktor climbed into bed. He pulled Yuuri against him and started to run his fingers through Yuuri's soft hair.

When Yuuri finally settled down, Viktor closed his eyes and enjoyed the feel of Yuuri's breathing slowing down.

Viktor thought about the last few months of touring with the group. They did many shows every month which meant that Viktor didn't get the chance to see Yuuri as much as he usually would. They also hadn't seen their friends, fans, families or other friends since they moved to Japan.

"You know... I miss my family." Viktor mumbled sleepily.

"Me too. But they are only coming next week so there will still be time to see them." Yuuri replied, moving slightly under Viktor's hand.

The two fell silent before they slowly drifted off to sleep.

Yuuri had woken up early that morning. The first thing he did was to check the time on his phone and realised that Viktor still hadn't shown up yet.

He grabbed his keys and phone and headed to the kitchen. He wanted to start making breakfast.

As he cooked, he looked around their small apartment, wondering how he had gotten this lucky.

When their relationship was new and fresh and they weren't even close friends, his family hated Viktor and treated him like crap. Nowadays though, Viktor's parents liked him and even agreed to have dinner together whenever he came to town. He had never known such happiness until now.

A noise behind him caused Yuuri to turn around and see Viktor walking into the kitchen. His dark eyes lit up when he caught sight of Yuuri.

"Are you hungry?" Yuuri asked as Viktor walked over.

Viktor shook his head. "Not really, I'm more focused on making you breakfast."

Yuuri blushed at Viktor's words and sat down. "Thanks."

They ate breakfast silently. Afterward, Yuuri suggested that they go to a local park to watch the sunrise. Viktor eagerly agreed.

They spent the rest of the day watching the sunrise. Occasionally Yuuri would steal Viktor's attention away from the horizon. When Viktor looked at Yuuri, he felt contented and safe, just like he always used to feel. It felt like everything was right with the world.

They left when it began to get dark. As they stepped into the cool night air, Yuuri wrapped his arms around Viktor's waist. He rested his head against Viktor's chest.

Viktor rested his cheek against Yuuri's temple. They stood there in silence and basked in the feeling of each others' warmth.

Finally Viktor broke the silence by clearing his throat. "We better get inside before Yakov comes looking for us."

Yuuri chuckled before agreeing. They both went upstairs and entered their apartment through the door that led directly into the bedroom.

Viktor went over to Yuuri. They kissed lightly before parting ways and changing into some pyjamas.

As Viktor laid down, he tried to calm himself enough to sleep without his anxiety getting the best of him. He was already exhausted.

After he turned onto his side, Yuuri joined him. They snuggled closer to each other as they watched the sun rise.

"Good morning," Viktor whispered quietly. He wasn't sure if he wanted to scare Yuuri awake like usual.

Instead, Yuuri answered, "Morning"

Viktor smiled before drifting off to sleep.

When Viktor woke up, he glanced across the bed to find his husband sleeping peacefully. He took advantage of the moment to study him.

It was rare that Viktor got to spend a whole day with Yuuri. He loved waking up in bed with him and knowing that their mornings would be spent cuddling. Even now, with the sun starting to rise outside the window, Yuuri was lying curled up in Viktor's arms, fast asleep.

For one brief moment, Viktor could pretend like everything was perfect and nothing else mattered. But then reality set in once again. Yuuri had a busy schedule and was surrounded by responsibilities. And Viktor... well, Viktor didn't have any responsibilities. He couldn'T imagine his life without Yuuri by his side.

Just then, Yuuri stirred awake. He lifted his head up from Viktor's chest and looked at him.

"Did I wake you?" Viktor asked.

"No," Yuuri replied softly, "are you okay? You looked like you had a nightmare."

Viktor sighed, remembering the horrible dream he had that made him feel anxious. "Yeah. Just bad dreams again."

Yuuri placed his arm around Viktor. He pressed a soft kiss to his lips.

"We don' need t' talk abou' it today. We'll talk abou' it tomorrow. How do you feel abou' breakfast, I can cook."

"Breakfast sounds great," Viktor said, stretching his arms above his head. He smiled when he heard his spine crack.

As Yuuri continued to lay back down in bed and Viktor got dressed, he wondered what sort of future they had planned today. There wasn't much that Viktor could do besides being happy, which wasn't going to be hard. But what was going to happen next? Was they going to keep spending time together as a married couple? Or maybe things would change drastically and they'd decide to live apart, which seemed unlikely to happen. What happened if they decided to try and break up? If Yuuri found someone else and he didn't want Viktor to come anymore...

All these thoughts ran through Viktor's head as he changed into some clothes and put his feet into his slippers.

After they had eaten breakfast, Viktor helped clean up the kitchen. Afterwards, they went to the bedroom. Yuuri went straight to bed while Viktor sat on the couch.

Viktor had been in this position for about fifteen minutes when he heard something crash in the kitchen. He jumped up off the couch and rushed over to see what had happened.

"Viktor! I think one of our pans broke!" Yuuri exclaimed, staring at the broken pan laying on the floor.

Viktor sighed and knelt beside it. Sure enough, one of the sides of the pan had snapped into pieces and the other side had splintered into hundreds of little sharp pieces.

Yuuri bent down to pick up another pan and handed it to Viktor. Viktor stared at the broken pan for a few seconds before picking it up and placing it gently on the pile of the other broken pan.

"How are you going to fix that? Shouldn't we call the repairman tomorrow instead of trying to do it ourselves?" Yuuri questioned.

Viktor shrugged. "I guess we will have to buy a new one. Hopefully we won' get a huge bill for it..."

"Well... what do we do now?" Yuuri asked.

"I'm not sure." Viktor replied. He sighed, "Let me go make us some coffee to cheer us up."

Viktor went to the kitchen while Yuuri followed after him.

Once the coffee was done, Yuuri helped Viktor carry everything into the living room. Viktor placed all the broken pans on the coffee table and sat down on the sofa.

Yuuri sat on the floor next to Viktor. They sat in complete silence as they listened to the sound of the rain hitting the windows. They soon noticed that their cup of coffee was starting to get cold. Neither of them had the heart to move to bring it in.

They were startled out of their reverie by the sound of the front door opening. Both of their heads flew up in surprise.

"Mama!! Papa!!" Both of them screamed in surprise. Both Viktor and Yuuri hurriedly stood up to greet their mothers and father who had arrived home late last night.

"Welcome home boys. I'm sorry that we have to come home earlier than expected." Grandpa Victor told them.

"It's fine. We're just glad that you're both home." Yuuri replied.

Grandpa Victor smiled before heading into the bathroom to wash up. Grandma Anya was following behind him.

Viktor and Yuuri waited patiently for their mother, Aunt Minako and Uncle Masumi to finish washing up before going to fetch their luggage from the car.

Once everyone had finished with their tasks, they headed back downstairs to the living room.

Uncle Masumi started asking questions, "So, how is everything? Has anything weird been happening recently?"

"Well," Viktor started, "we met a nice young woman a week ago who has a boyfriend. We talked abou' the idea o' moving together, but I was worried that it might be too sudden and we didn't even know what we wanted in life so we decided to wait until we get a chance."

Viktor's parents exchanged glances at his explanation.

Aunt Minako cleared her throat and said, "So, how long are you planning to stay with Yuuri?"

"For a month. That way we'll meet with people from my company and see if we can sell the studio to them or not. In the meantime, the place is ours and we'll manage somehow. It isn't much but I don't want to just give it up."

"That makes sense," Aunty Anya replied with a smile.

After they had finished talking, Yuuri suggested that they play a board game. After all, there hadn't been many games in the apartment. They played Scrabble for a good while. Then they moved onto Monopoly.

Before long it was time for dinner. Aunt Minako made spaghetti. After dinner, Yuuri and Viktor took turns washing dishes.

About an hour later, Yuuri went to take a shower while Viktor dried them.

Viktor heard the shower start running a few minutes later, so he headed into the bedroom to wait.

Twenty minutes later the bathroom door opened. Yuuri came out wearing black sweatpants and a loose fitting grey sweater.

His hair still damp from the shower, Yuuri leaned against the wall for a moment and yawned before he caught sight of Viktor.

Viktor walked towards Yuuri and stopped in front of him.

He gently grabbed hold of Yuuri's chin and tilted his head upwards. He pressed a soft kiss against Yuuri's lips before pulling away.

"How tired are you? Do you want to take a nap?" Viktor asked, "The shower was supposed ta help you relax. Maybe you should lie abou' bed. Yurio was probably up late, so he prob'ly slept late."

Yuuri shook his head no and leaned forward to kiss Viktor.

Yuuri reached forward to open the curtains. The sunlight shined brightly through the bedroom curtains and bathed the entire room in a pale yellow glow.

Yuuri pulled Viktor closer. He buried his face in Viktor's neck, breathing in deeply. Viktor wrapped his arms around Yuuri, nuzzling the top of his head with his nose.

"I love yurio and Mari, but I love 'you more'. I love everything that makes ya Yuuri, so I never want t' part ways."

Chapter 13

"Hey, Viktor. Are you going to go on your date this weekend?" Yuuko asked.

She gave Viktor a small smile. She was sitting on the couch while Viktor was standing in the middle of the room, staring blankly ahead.

"Uhm," Viktor began, unsure of what to say, "no. I've already booked a reservation at some restaurant."

Yuuko pouted and crossed her legs. "Why did you cancel? I thought you were excited because this will be your first official date. Isn't that why you wanted to go on it?"

Viktor sighed. Yuuko was right; he was acting very strange. However, he didn't know how to explain the reason why he cancelled his date. After thinking about it for a few seconds, he blurted it out.

"Yuri's birthday is coming up. I don't want t' let myself be distracted by somethin' like that. He has enough to deal wich he needs ta focus on. Besides, he deserves some fun."

Yuuko nodded. "You're right. You're right."

She paused for a second then added, "But I'm surprised. I thought he'd be upset that you cancelled your date."

Viktor raised a brow. Why would Yuri be mad at him for canceling his date? Did he not want to spend the entire weekend celebrating Yurio's birthday with him?

"Did something happen between the two of you during the holidays?" Yuuko asked curiously. "I mean, you didn't seem like yourselves this past week."

Viktor looked down at the ground and scratched his cheek. He knew that Yuuko wouldn't understand unless he explained everything, but she wasn't Yuuri. She couldn't just tell Yuuri that Yuri and he had fought. She'd never believe him.

"No, I don't suppose I did. Sorry for worryin'." Viktor replied sheepishly.

"It's okay." Yuuko responded. She stood up from the couch and walked over to where Viktor was still standing in the middle of the room. She hugged him tightly. "If you ever need someone, just tell me alright?" She requested.

Viktor wrapped his arms around his girlfriend and hugged her close to him. He nodded his head once, agreeing to what she'd asked of him.

After pulling away from Yuuko, they headed back into the living room. Once there, they resumed playing Monopoly.

As soon as they had all finished playing, they quickly cleaned up the mess. Once they were done cleaning, the adults sat down in front of the TV to watch something.

The rest of the morning passed without any problems. Once lunchtime rolled around, Viktor and Yuuri went off to find Yuri and his parents to give them all a goodbye hug.

When everyone had left, Yuuri and Viktor got ready to clean the house again. After cleaning, they set about making lunch. As they worked, the phone rang.

"Hello?" Yuuri answered it, answering his father's question on who was calling. He looked over at Viktor who was holding the phone to his ear. Yuuri smiled slightly as Viktor spoke softly to whoever was on the other end of the line. Yuuri watched the conversation for a few moments before turning his attention back to what he was doing.

When he finished the dishes, Viktor came up behind Yuuri and wrapped his arms around his waist. He rested his head against Yuuri's shoulder whilst Yuuri continued cooking in silence.

"What's going on in that pretty little mind of yours? Is someone trying to call me? Who could that be anyway? I haven't called anyone recently except for-" Viktor continued ranting about who it could be until Yuuri cut him off.

"Dad says hello. He wants to talk to you."

Viktor immediately released Yuuri from his embrace and walked over to grab the phone. His mouth suddenly dropped open when he saw whose name was displayed on the screen.

"Hello, dad." Viktor answered after a pause.

"Who's that on the phone, honey?" Yuuri called from the kitchen.

"It's Yuuri's dad. He just called to let us know that he's gonna be out late tonight. He also said that he loves you guys and he won't miss our dinner."

Viktor turned towards his fiancé who was now stood next to the counter holding the cutting board in his hands.

"Is everything ok, Viktor? Did something happen last night? I woke up several times from the sound of glass shattering in the kitchen." Yuuri asked.

"Nothin' important. Everything's fine. I promise it is." Viktor reassured.

Viktor and Yuuri both knew that it wasn'n true, but they didn't mention anything about it anymore. Instead, they ate their lunch quietly, lost in their own thoughts, while watching a movie that Yuuri's father had recommended.

At seven o'clock they put the dishes in the dishwasher. Then, they headed to the bedroom and lay down.

Viktor cuddled up close to Yuuri, wrapping one arm protectively across his lover's stomach, and with the other he traced lazy patterns on Yuuri's skin. He kissed him sweetly and lazily. Yuuri smiled, feeling comfortable and safe in his fiancé's arms. And when Viktor started kissing his neck, he arched his head backwards to make Viktor easier access. When Viktor nibbled at his collarbone, Yuuri groaned softly.

Once again, Yuuri felt Viktor tugging at his shirt. He sat up so that he could turn and look at his fiancé, who was lying on his side. There was lust shining deep in his eyes and he leaned in to press his lips against Yuuri's.

Viktor pushed his body against Yuuri's, kissing Yuuri hungrily. Yuuri felt himself melting as Viktor's hand slipped under his shirt and brushed across his bare chest.
