Game One (7)

Knowing that he was the shadow wasn't exactly terrifying, but the thought of that shadow being related to his second life was. If the shadow was indeed referring to himself, then that only meant he was already related to this life earlier on and didn't remember it.

Arren shook his head, no, was it really possible? His brows knitted against each other as he kept his thoughts running. After a while, he again froze as another guess dawned on him.

This time, the change in his expression was already visible in his eyes. If the shadow being himself didn't make sense to him, then was that shadow... the real Arren?

Subconsciously, Arren gripped his pants because of the emotion that suddenly washed over him. Ever since, Arren has never questioned his reincarnation or where the real Arren was. Perhaps it was because he had already lived as Arren since day 1, not unlike the other transmigrators in the novels who transmigrated halfway and not since their childhood.
