It was still dark outside the hotel when he arrived, but the squealing crowd from the video had long since dispersed. Now the exterior looked like a generic rich-person-building, with its rich people coming and going as they pleased. Having just seen this place on camera, Xander was overcome with a slightly surreal feeling —as though he had climbed into the video itself. However, this time there was no Bentley or Atticus here. And there was no... whoever that third person was.
Xander glanced up. The ever-so-informative security camera was hung up on one of the nearby walls, documenting the business of the hotel entranceway. He figured that Smythe had probably made it back to the monitor room in Hell by now. Naturally, he couldn't help but offer the camera a wave.
A couple seconds later, a cheerful little DING! from his pocket confirmed his suspicion. He checked the message and smiled.
{{ Smythe: I was gone for five minutes and you've already switched realms >:( }}
