"I have always believed there is a reason," Atticus said simply, "You need not explain anything to me,"

It was his intention to let the awkward conversation die then and there. However, before he even had the chance to turn away, Ophaniel let out a soft, sad sounding sigh.

"Atticus, there are many things about this world I have not told you,"

"There are many things I am happy not to know." Atticus shrugged him off, "Though knowledge is a gift, I find I'm often happier in ignorance."

"Please don't dismiss me like this," Ophaniel said, stepping closer into Atticus' vision. "Aren't you curious about why you can handle God's soul?"
