[8] Atticus Snaps

A little while later, Nathaniel emerged from the interrogation room. Having witnessed the whole conversation through the one-way observation window, Camael was now standing out in the hallway with a stern look on her face. She didn't even give Nathaniel a chance to greet her before she started pressing him.

"Do you really believe him?" She asked.

"Of course I believe him," Nathaniel replied, "Why would an angel as insignificant as him know anything about the power of God's soul? He picked it up without even the faintest clue as to what it was. I think he truly is innocent in this case,"

Camael chewed on this for a moment.

"Let me talk to him," She said suddenly.

"Why would I do that? If I let you set foot in that room, who knows what kind of trouble you'll cause. Honestly speaking, you're too cold-blooded, Camael. If we want Atticus on our side, we need to treat him with respect,"
