CH 78: The Exchange

Aaron was extremely disappointed, never anticipating that the monsters would seek to eliminate their most cherished possession: the holy heart, the wellspring of their power.

- SHAME ON YOU...IMAGINE WHAT YOUR ANCESTORS WOULD SAY IF THEY HEARD THIS NONSENSE. THEY CONSTRUCTED THIS LAND TO PROTECT YOU AND YOUR ABILITIES. WHERE ARE YOUR PARENTS? HOW COULD THEY REMAIN SILENT AS THEIR OFFSPRING DESTROY THEIR HOMELAND?"

One of the monsters dared to reply:

- But you allowed humans to come to our land and live among us.

Aaron's gaze sharpened, and he responded resolutely:

- For a decade, I've been advocating for humans to visit our realm, to engage with them, to learn from them, and to enhance our domain. I never imagined they'd influence your identity to this extent. How could you be so easily swayed and blindly follow their words?

No one dared to argue further with Aaron, feeling his anger and disappointment.
