I WILL GET REMARRIED

Dylan went downstairs and saw his dad reading a newspaper in the living room. As usual, he ignored his dad's existence and continued to reach for his motorcycle helmet. The helmet was then put on his head before he headed to the main door of the house.

Just realizing the presence of his son, Gordon continues to speak before Dylan manages to leave.

"Dylan, come here for a second. Your dad here has something to say. "

Dylan, who was just about to step out the door started feeling uneasy when called by his father like this. He already knew, that if he collided with his father, there would be something that would stop all his plans. Or, he will get an earful nagging from the old man.

"I have business outside, we'll talk later," Dylan said indifferently as he moved his legs back to get away from there. Avoid that situation.

"Where do you want to go out, Dylan? Can't you just sit quietly at home, even for a day? Even the work in the office that was handed over to you has been abandoned a lot. " Gordon's tone began to turn angry. He can't tolerate anymore with his son's temperament.

Dylan stopped his footsteps with a small sigh. He then walked weakly toward where his father was. He knew for a fact that if his father was allowed to rage, he would be badly treated.

The helmet that covered his head was opened and thrown on one of the sofas. Then, he continued to pound his body on the expensive sofa that his father bought making a rather loud noise.

"Hurry up, dad. I have something to do with a friend right now. " Dylan began to urge.

Gordon shook his head at his son's behavior. He no longer knew how to change his son's behavior. As a child, the boy was a cheerful person and listened to the words, but after the incident when his ex-wife decided to leave them, Dylan began to change into a cold person. He knew that he could not blame Daphne, his ex-wife one hundred percent because, in the past, he was also guilty of being more concerned with his career than his family. So he always tries to do good to Dylan now so that their relationship will get back to normal even though Dylan always hurts his heart.

"Can't you make an effort to spend some time with me? It's not always for us to sit down and talk. I don't want to compromise with you today. All your appointments today, I want you to cancel them. Just stay at home. "Gordon said firmly.

"What?!" Dylan shouted half angrily at his dad. He has tried hard to hold his heart before, but now he can't stand it anymore. He felt that he was now being treated like a little boy.

"Seriously dad? I'm 26 now, I'm not a child anymore. "

"If you are not a child, act like one. You push me to do something like this. Do you think I like to treat you like this? When I treat you well, you, even more, don't want to hear anything that I say. I am an old man Dylan. I want to see my son become a good person before I die. "

Dylan snorted angrily. Back then and now, that was what his dad always said to make him lose his words. He leaned his body back and closed his eyes. Trying to control his own emotions. He knows he's been a bit overbearing lately, but, for some reason, he's become lazy to want to think about other people's feelings because, for him, no one cares about his feelings even his father does. So why does he have to take care of other people's feelings?

After a while, Dylan straightened his seat again. His face began to look at his father again. While the main thing Gordon wanted to discuss seemed to get stuck in his throat when he saw his son's behavior.

"I don't think you want to talk about my credibility, do you, dad? What do you want to say? " Dylan began to talk again. He had no heart to hear the words that would come out of his dad's mouth, but, deep in the corner of his heart knew that his dad wouldn't want to talk if the matter wasn't important. Who is he to know about his father's affairs? So far, they have never shared anything except work matters.

Gordon began to take a deep breath before speaking. He knows the time is not right, but if not today, not necessarily his son wants to sit down and talk kindly with him like this again. The boy always avoided him anyway.

"I want to tell you something and I hope you will be able to accept what I want to convey here."

'What is this? Sound so serious all of the sudden ', Dylan whispered in his head. He knows that when he contemplates his father's serious face. Whatever his father plans he knows he will be surprised.

"What do you mean dad? Does what you want to discuss involve me? " He started to become curious.

Gordon nodded at his son's words.

"My decision is important for my life and yours. I don't want you to misunderstand anything later. So, you listen carefully first and you can ask me what you want to know after this. "

Dylan felt strange by his father's words. Why must he ask? Why would he misunderstand? All those questions were just playing around in his mind, not expressed outward. He wanted to give his dad a space to speak up.

"I plan to get married again."

The verse that slid quickly from Gordon's mouth seemed to pierce into Dylan's heart. He was indeed very surprised to hear the news. He did not know what verse to say to his father. For many years his father could live on his own and now all of a sudden he talks about wanting to marry someone else. Nonsense. What was it that entered his father's mind?

"I hope you agree with my plan. I hope you understand my feelings. I'm not getting married to replace your mother… " Before Gordon could finish his sentence, Dylan asked cynically.

"Tch, if that's not a substitute for mom, what other words can be used?"

Gordon sighed. He already thought that his son would have such a reaction. Dylan and he were really hard to talk to together.

"I respect your mom because she gave birth to you who is my only child. But, your mom has also built a new life with other people. You know about that, don't you? I just want to fill the void in my heart. "

"So? Do you want to blame mom for leaving you? "

Gordon seemed stunned to hear his son's statement.

"Mom left you because there was another man. It seems that you also can't afford to live alone forever. Well, who's that lucky girl? Teenager? Same age as me? "

"Dylan! Don't you dare to be rude to your father? I never taught you to talk like this. She's not a teenager. Her status is the same as mine and she has a daughter. So, you better watch your mouth. "

"Hmph, nice catch." Dylan deliberately provoked his father's anger. He did not understand the reason why he spoke in such a way to his father. Just what crossed his mind at that moment in itself slid swiftly out into words in his mouth.

Gordon did his best to hold back his anger. He knew his son's heart was troubled by the sudden news. He tried to persuade himself to be calm. If they both can't control themselves, there could be a war between them later.

"Her name is Edith. I will invite her to dinner at the end of this month at our house when you returned from Destiny island to introduce her to you. I don't want you to cause any trouble this time. So, please make sure you are at home. "

Dylan just sat petrified while frowning. He didn't like what he had just heard. Once again, his freedom was restricted.

"Did you hear what I said, Dylan? I ask for your help to accept her to be your new mom. At least you try to do something that can make my heart happy. " Gordon hopes his son can think well and know that his decision was for their mutual happiness.

"So, what is the point of the conversation anyway? You have already made your own decisions. All my opinions are not important, right? "

"What do you mean?" Gordon didn't understand what Dylan meant. Everything he tried to discuss always became inappropriate in his son's ears. Even though he had tried his best. It's usually like this. Every discussion will inevitably lead to quarrels.

"Everything you said, everything is neatly arranged. What does dad want to hear from me? You just want me to agree, right? I guess you don't have to tell me all this. Even if I don't agree, you will stick to your decision, right? Already planning to invite her to come for dinner and all. " Dylan said rudely.

"Yes, I will continue this marriage. After all, it's not like you want to take care of me when I'm old. Look at your behavior, I already know. Right?"

Dylan was silent and said nothing.

"You live in this house because I told you to and because I forced you to work with me. If not, you don't want to live with me right? "

Dylan was still silent. He knew everything his father said was true, but, he did not want to work in the company. It all happened as a result of his father's insistence, however, deep in his heart, he loved his father very much. No child at all has no feelings of affection for their parents. Only his father didn't know about that.

Now what's playing on Dylan's mind is the negative things that might happen to this soon-to-be-built marriage. What if this marriage is also not successful? Deep in the corner of his heart, he didn't want his father to get hurt again, but, he was sure his father didn't see it all. His father's heart has now melted because of a woman named Edith. Everything he did will not up to his father's standards.

"Do whatever you want! I didn't care! " Dylan said that as his final words and then walked away to climb the stairs to his bedroom upstairs leaving his father alone in the living room.

Gordon can only sigh and massage his head that starting to hurt then.
