NOT A SWEET HOME TO GET BACK TO

Dylan went straight home as soon as he arrived in Country A in a state of exhaustion. As soon as he arrived, he walked past his father who was standing in a corner, but as usual, he pretended that he didn't see him there.

"What about the work? Is there any problem? " Ignoring Dylan's unfriendly aura, Gordon asked before Dylan disappeared from his sight. Dylan stopped his steps but did not look at his father.

"This is home and not my working hours. Let's talk about that in the company. I'm tired enough as it is. " Dylan started walking again as soon as he finished answering. Leaving his father.

"Everything better be perfect. Or I will never ever entrust a big project like this to you again." Gordon reminded in a rather loud voice as Dylan was already a little far from him.

Dylan didn't answer but he just kept his frustration in his tight grip.

Gordon sighed deeply after that. He didn't know how to have a proper conversation with his only son despite having tried several times.

"Are you okay? Is there any problem? " Aunty Moon, who had just passed by, heard Gordon sigh now asking in worry.

Aunty Moon has worked with Gordon for over twenty years to help manage his household affairs. His ex-wife did not know how to manage the household because she was too young when they got married. So, Aunty Moon is the one who works hard and stays with them for a long time so that their relationship is as close as family.

Gordon also considers Aunty Moon as if she is his mother and she always becomes the place where he pours out all his problems considering that his parents have long since passed away.

Hearing the old woman asking, Gordon sighed for a long time as if trying to release the burden borne in his heart.

"It's nothing. I just reminded myself of my decision to get married when I saw Dylan. Will he be so stubborn forever? He doesn't want to talk to me either. What if he treats my wife badly later. "

Aunty Moon just lowered her face. She also didn't know what to say about this kind of thing. But she is sure of one thing, Dylan will never treat other people badly. He maybe has a hard time adjusting, but he is not a person that will harm other people.

"Dylan will never do that. Of course, it's hard for him to accept a stepmother after so long he's lost his mother's love. He probably feels awkward, but he's just not good at managing his feelings."

"But, is it wrong for me to start a new life? Can't I get married again? I don't know what to do with Dylan. How else can I soften his heart? Not only this, but working at the office is also most problematic if he is in charge. I hope he can follow in my footsteps to manage the company," said Gordon scowling.

Aunty Moon felt sorry for Gordon, who was confused. But her pity for Dylan was much higher.

"In my opinion, it is not wrong for you to want to marry someone else if you are sure that your candidate can give happiness to yourself, and the most important thing is that he can give her love to Dylan. I think Dylan is like that because he hasn't felt his mother's love for a long time. He was only ten years old at the time when it all happened. " Aunty Moon started to shed tears thinking about the fate of the two.

"If she's a sincere person, I'm sure Dylan will be able to accept her slowly. Dylan is not a bad boy, " said Aunty Moon again while wiping away tears.

"She is a good person. I've known her since my school days. I'm sure she can be a good wife to me and mother to Dylan. But, looking at Dylan's reaction, he seems very unhappy with my decision. " Gordon then stood facing Aunty Moon with a serious face.

"What should I do Aunty Moon?"

"Give him time, that's all you need to do." Aunty Moon was only able to advise that.

At the same time,

Dylan went into the room and continued to throw himself on the bed. His body was too tired from the work and the problems he faced, but his heart was much more miserable.

This is his home, but he didn't feel like it is comforting. This house that he has lived in since childhood and his father made him promise that he will never leave this house even if he gets married later.

It's not like he can't just leave this house and rebel completely. He has a lot of money and he is already 26 years old! Breaking a promise is also not difficult. But, his heart could not leave his father alone, even though their relationship is bad like this. He just can't afford it.

"Argh!"

Dylan covered his mouth with a pillow and screamed with all his might, hoping that the pain would go away.

"I hate this! I hate everything!"

After feeling a bit calmer, Dylan scowled a few times and got up from the bed to see from the room window what was going on outside as he heard the sound of his father's car roaring to slide away. Looking at the casual clothes which his father was wearing at the time, Dylan knew what his father's purpose was at the time.

"Tch! It looks like he can't wait to meet his lover. "

I heard that a true home is made by people who live there...

Hopefully, all of us have a very beautiful home that is not suffocating.
