Madison felt her heart leap to her mouth as the duke standing only a foot to her chucked her chin bringing them closer before whispering in her ears ”don’t test me madi” his voice sounded smoothing and even seductive to her ears and she wanted to whip him at that moment. She still hadn’t forgotten the fact that he had kissed her twice without her consent while she was in love with someone else. He then left her and walked to the table containing a bored of chess pieces and it was only then did Madison realize he was playing against himself. 


 gathering her wits she answered “It was an unintentional mistake which I have apologized for” but he only nodded his head as if dismissing her “just give me a moment to change my dress” he looked up to her confused “for the theater she provided….” 


 “It is rather too late; I think we will have to cancel” 


 Moving deeper into the room she observe the chess pieces with glee “isn’t chest a game of absolute pleasure”
