(DIANE)

I opened my eyes and there i was on the couch. I couldn't quite figure out where i was. There was a fire place in the room i was laid and a lot of antique items. The whole place looked like it had not been used for a long time. I looked at my body and the clothes that i had been wearing had been changed, i was wearing something different. Suddenly, i began to hear some noises from the direction of what seemed to be the kitchen. My head kept banging, then I suddenly recalled what had happened just some hours ago. I could see the flashbacks.

Instantly i heard a voice call out my name.

"Diane?"

It was Liam. He was standing there holding up two mugs of what seemed to be filled with coffee.

"You're awake.... you were out for like 5 to 6 hours" he said as he sat close to me and handing over one of the mugs to me.

"Here, have this"

"What's this?" I asked even though i had already had an idea of what it might've been.

"Just tea... well coffee to be precise" He responded with a smile.

I sat up right, folded my legs and took a sip of the coffee. There was a rush of silence flowing through the room.

"Oh yeah, you said you would explain something to me" i spoke trying to break the silence.

"Yes i did.... but you need to rest first"

"No... tell me now... i want to know why they tried to kill you" i said feeling a bit afraid.

"I need to know what I'm getting myself into" I continued.

"Okay then, I'll tell you everything" Liam said dropping the mug he was holding on a little brown table by the side of the couch.

I turned a bit to face him, so i could have a better view of him as he explained to me.

"So when i was little, my dad called me to his room one day explaining everything concerning our family. Our history and everything. After a long explanation he told me to be careful with my uncle. He was my dad's older brother".

"What was his name i asked" seemingly interested.

"His name is Phil" Liam answered

"So he told me he wasn't happy because the company was handed over to him other than his brother. So he told me to always watch my back, that things weren't always they seem. So after he explained all this to me i decided from then on that i would always make sure i was alert".

"So hence the lady and Von who tried to kill you". I said under standing the summary of all Liam had just said. "Well i knew that he would try to kill me just like he killed my family, i just didn't imagine he'd send goons to do his work for him". Liam said with a relaxed look. Like someone who didn't kill a man a few hours ago.

"Well anyway...." He continued speaking. "..... we have to—".

"Wait, come to think of it, where are we?" I asked Liam cutting him off as he was speaking.

I was curious to know cause the house was large. So large that i would speak and hear my voice echo.

"Well, this is my family's house". Liam answered the question.

"Your house?!" I said exclaiming

"Yup my house" he repeated slightly nodding his head.

"And you decide to stay at an apartment like you've got nothing" i said with an expressed look raising a brow.

"It's really quite hard to explain" Liam replied with a straight face.

Immediately his phone rang. He picked up the phone and answered.

"Hello?"

"Meet me by the storehouse along the highway headed to the beach". It was the voice of a female.

"Who is this?" Liam still asked confused.

"I'll be waiting, 9:00am".

After the voice had spoken, she hung up.

"Who was that?" I asked

"I don't know" Liam answered still staring at his phone wondering who it might be.

"I think I'll head out to see who it might be and what the person wants".

"I'll go with you" i said trying hard to get up.

"No you stay here, I'll be back before you know it, I wouldn't want anything bad happening to you now would i?"

Liam said with a lot of concern.

I nodded and smiled at him.

"Be safe"

Liam leaned in and kissed me softly. He got up and picked up his brown jacket from the hanger close to the door and headed out shutting the door behind him.

As Liam left, my phone began to ring. I picked up the phone wondering who it might be.

"Hello Diane...." my heart sunk inside after knowing who was on the other end of the call.

"...HAVE YOU TOLD HIM YET? OR BETTER STILL DOES HE KNOW WHO YOU ARE?".
