A wave of information flowed through Alex's mind. The content of the information was very simple. His name, race and class were obvious. As well as the fact that he had no profession and thus no available skills. But there was much more – a complete list of his stats, including those not related to combat, like intelligence and willpower.

Alex understood the list, It was the system's judgment of his current physical, mental and sensory capabilities, quantified in numerical form, so he could make sense of it.

He couldn't help but wince at his physical stats. If 10 was the average for humans than it was pretty lower for him. Well he couldn't do anything about it, he was born with a weak constitution. He had been sickly as a child. But he would need to get stronger if he wanted to survive this world.

My mental attributes are above average though. That's good news. His perception is high enough that, I won't be surprised by anything around me, and my intelligence is good. The rest of my numbers are low, which means I'm not very fast or strong, and my stamina is terrible.

The only thing that looks good on the list, are my wisdom and intelligence.

He also doesn't have a class or a profession yet and no titles either, well as expected.

He focused his attention on his race.

• Human(G)- The lowest level of humans in the system. This humans are found in newly initiated universe. Humans are versatile, highly intelligent and can adapt to any environment easily. They can choose a variety of paths for evolution. stat bonuses per level +1 all stats, +1 free point.

"Ummm.. Why don't I have class? How do i get a class? I asked skeptically.

"Classes are chosen before entering the tutorial . Remember you should choose your class wisely. Each class has its own set of bonuses and abilities. Some classes are more effective against certain enemies while others specialize in specific tasks. It all depends on how much proficient you are in your class.

A class is the starting point in your journey in this new reality, also you can't change your class once you've selected one. Choose wisely.

Alex looked up from the screen. "So… what class would you recommend?" he asked.

"It really depends on your preferences, and your strengths and weaknesses, "you should choose your own path of evolution".

"Alright, I'll take a look at all of them and see which one suits me best."

Class-

Warrior • Mage • Assassin • Archer • Healer

• Warrior - A basic starting class. Warriors are fighters who specialises in close combat. They can use a variety of weapons including swords and clubs, as well as throwing axes or spears. As they grow they can choose any weapon and became a master at it. Stat bonuses per level 1 Agi, +1 End, +1 Vit, +1 Str +1 Tough, +1 Free Point

─ Level: 1

─ Class: Warrior

─ Skills: Acrobatics , Armour Training

─ Talents: Combat Reflexes, Fighting Style Expertise.

Warrior, huh?.. A close combatant. I don't think, I will survive even one battle with my weak body. Though the talent of combat reflexes sounds appealing but I don't think I will survive fighting upfront.

• Mage - Mages are spellcasters who harness the power of magic. They can cast spells that range in effect from creating fireballs to healing wounds. Most mages specialize in one or two schools of magic. The Mage class is the most versatile, allowing you to learn all forms of magic.Stat bonuses per level: +2 Int, +1 Wis, +1 Will, +1 Per, +1 Free Point.

─ Level: 1

─ Class: Mage

─ Skills: Magic Missile, Fireball, Create Water,

─ Talents: Spellblade, Mana Blast

Hmm....!! A Mage seems like a ideal choice for me. People with higher intelligence are more suitable for this class but I don't know what will happen next. I don't know if I will be fighting alone or in a group. A mage is more suited in a group, but if i became alone i would be defenseless.

• Assassin - An assassin is an expert in the art of stealth. Assassins often work alone or with small groups. They prefer to ambush enemies from behind rather than engage in direct combat. Assassins rely on stealth and surprise to overcome opponents. Assassination relies more heavily upon the use of poison than any other assassination ability. In addition, assassins are able to use poisons without killing their targets.Stat bonuses: +2 Agi, +1 End, +1 Str, +1 Vit, +1 Free point.

─ Level: 1

─ Class: Assassin

─ Skills: Stealth , Hide in Shadows , Poison Specialist

─ Talents: Night Vision, Silent Running

Good class, stealth, poison and night vision a very good set, but to deal any damage or kill the opponent I have to get close to the enemy.

That sounds a bit risky, since the classes are all level-1 I don't think it will be enough.

• Archer- A specialist in ranged combat. Archer's use bows and crossbows to shoot deadly arrows at opponents from afar. They are also adapt in meele weapons such as daggers and shortsword. They can aim for vital points like the eyes or groin to inflict maximum pain and injury.Stat bonuses per level: +2 Per, +1 Agi, +1 End, +1 Str, +1 Free Point.

─ Level: 1

─ Class: Archer

─ Skills: Longbow, Crossbow , Hide in Shadows.

─ Talents: Marksmanship, Tracking.

Archer? hmm.. A long range combatant, good for someone like me who doesn't like fighting in the front. Archers are also adapt using daggers and short swords, not bad, not bad.

I was also in the archery club in my university cause that was the only sport i could do without harming my body.

• Healer- Healers are experts in healing. They can use herbs and potions to cure wounds and illnesses. They can also use spells to increase the health of injured allies.Stat bonuses per level: +2 Will, +2 Wis, +1 Int, +1 Free Point.

─ Level: 1

─ Class: Healer

─ Skills: Healing Touch, Heal Minor Wounds, Cure Disease

─ Talents: Healing Specialist.

Healer, it could be very good for a party, but not for me.

Ok then, I have decided.

You have chosen the Archer class. Confirm?

Yes|No

• You have obtained the Archer class •

As soon as those words appeared in my vision, my head started tingling and i was filled with some basic information of my class.

• Gained Skill: [Basic Archery (Inferior)] – You have learnt to use basic Archery. You can use your archery skill more efficiently, making it easier for you to hit your targets. This skill won't make you the greatest Archer but with this, you will atleast not embrass yourself in a shooting competition.

• Gained Skill: [Basic Close combat (Inferior)] – The Archers are masters of long range combat but don't think they are stupid enough to not train in close combat. Your skills in close combat are no less than average, allowing you to hold your own against those that would try and take advantage of your archery skills.

• Gained Skill: [Archers Eye (Common)] – The eyes of an archer are good as any other's, if not better. With this skill you gain a slight edge when aiming by giving you a better view of your target from a distance. Your eyes are trained to spot the weak points of your foe.

Alex instinctively knows how to use his abilities. He focused on his eyes and suddenly he could see every detail of his surroundings. His vision became more clear and sharper. It was like looking through glass instead of foggy air. Alex deactivated his ability and he felt a little fatigue, so he opened his status ans saw that his stamina dropped to 66 from 70 but Mana and health was the same.

He closed the status window and looked towards the items on the table. He looked at the thing sitting eerily still, and inquired: "I assume these things are for me?"

"Yes," it answered. " They are basic necessities respective to your chosen class. Some necessities are given to all new initiates.

And as it finished those words, Alex was once again greeted by a screen appearing before him.

• Gained skill: [Identify (Inferior)] – Basic identification skill, known by all but the smallest of children of the myriad races. The skill allows you to attempt to identify any object or creature you are focusing on.

A skill that actually could allow me to gain information about anything I encounter with it. "Ahh…This is great!"

"Only 10 minutes are left before the tutorial. It is recommended that you collect your equipment before the introduction ends or it will be lost"

The items included a bow and quiver, a brown cloak, a knife, and a small satchel attached to a belt. They all looked rather medieval, the bow being wooden rather than any metal that he was used to see in earth.

The cloak is made with coarse material but it is durable enough, and the belt has several pouches for carrying around some gear.

The bow looks like it can do quite well, even though its draw weight is considerably lower than what I am used to have.

The quiver was made of wood with leather rapping along it's side.

The knife seems simple enough, just a plain blade that doesn't seem too strong.

he looked at the small satchel, and upon opening it, found a couple of small bottles.

He wondered, what are those?.. so he used his identify skill

• Healing potion (inferior)- A Low grade healing potion that restores health when consumed.

He used Identify on the other items in the satchel one by one, finding a total of 3 health potions, 3 stamina potions that did the exact same thing as the health potion, but for stamina. As he closed the satchel, he moved on to the other items. The bow, knife, and cloak yielded no result, simply informing him that the wooden bow was a wooden bow and that the brown cloak was a brown cloak. With little hope, he inspected the quiver, being positively surprised:

[Enchanted Quiver (Common)] – A quiver enchanted with the ability to conjure common-rarity arrows when injected with mana. Arrows are made of wood, have a simple magic effect, and do not count towards your carrying capacity.

The ability to shoot at any time without having to worry about ammunition is certainly an advantage. He quickly took it out of the bag and tried to load some arrows into it. To his surprise they were just as light as if he didn't fill the quiver up at all; there wasn't even so much as a hint of resistance from the arrows when he pulled them back. Impressive indeed, he thought. Now I can actually afford to miss a shot or two and still have enough arrows remaining for another full attack before running out

"10 seconds to the start of the tutorial," the humanoid thing reminded him.

Alex quickly composed himself and got ready. He was feeling a Mix of fear and excitement and anticipation. Excited about this new life, scared of the unknown.
