Floating Feather Technique Demo

"You will never be able to become a Floating Feather Squire no matter how dedicated and talented you are until you Conquer the 10km Twin Hill."

The instructor said to the bunch of kids that managed to succeed. As he was always clad in armour, he stepped forward in click clack and then pulled his slender sword he began playing with it and stepped forward.

"Awee!" All the kids widened their eyes in awe, only a few were mildly impressed. But Noah was truly in awe before he frowned.

The instructor did not stop but he continued taking steps in a circle while playing with a sword with great mastery the kid's eyes were on his leg, as now he was levitating 10 cm above the ground.

"Up here, your weight has become as light as wind." He said and suddenly he moved extremely to the point only Noah can see him among the kids and he appeared at another side.

"Woah!"

Clap

Clap

Clap

The kids clapped as their eyes opened wider as the man moved faster generating wind that whipped their faces and whenever he stopped he was higher on the wind again and again. Until he was one meter above the ground.

His speed has reached an exaggerated point that the kids saw him appear 3 to four times in seconds.

"I'm interested!" Noah said as he nodded with an unknown smile on his face. What was more amazing was that his movements were generating wind but somehow he wasn't causing dust to rise but then suddenly he made dust flash everywhere and covered the Trainees' eyes.

They cough but they laugh as they become happier after succeeding to reach the stage. There were only 109 trainees; the rest couldn't pass the bridge and fall down.

They didn't die but they appeared to be until it appeared there was a net below that would catch them.

When the dust settled, the instructor stood before them and said, "To tap into this, you have to be a Level 10 Squire which also means a True Knight. Special among you though can do this when they are at Level 3 or 5. However, those that became Rank 10 Masters, can do as much or even better than me!"

That energised the kids and determination built in them.

"What is the importance of that in battle?" Noah asked. If it's just for show, then it was pretty much useless.

"Can't you see him fly!" Mansa Musa said.

"Birds can fly but we eat birds!" Noah said.

"He is fast, can't you? He disappeared and appeared in another location!" Shone said

"I met someone faster. When he ran the ground cracked and he could punch a hole in the wall with his finger. Speed isn't special!"

The kids were surprised by Noah's question, to them it was amazing but to him, it mildly was.

"I agree with Noah. Speed and Flight are good but every Knighthood trained that part!" Nile Xender said.

"There is another thing, the wind, you can blow dust and confuse your opponent if it escapes. There was also the aspect of gaining momentum when you are flying which I believed was that the more you move the faster he becomes and also the easier you can attack and dodge!" A pale boy said he was ranked 7 named Monroe Saki.

Then everyone began to talk about their thoughts, but most were content with being able to do it.

"The foundational Essence of Floating Feather Techniques is not speed and it's certainly not flying. Can anyone guess?" The instructor said with a smile.

Noah already recognised that the man was dead tired, that was why he bought himself time with the dust and now he was just standing watching them without moving a muscle. He is regaining his stamina and breath.

"Those are bonuses we gain. You have the minute to ponder alone. The person that got the answer right will be in White Milk for a whole day!"

Noah smiled as he watched the instructor thinking, 'Grandpa said no Knight is an idiot. He doesn't want us to realize he can't move so he gave out a quiz. And he doesn't seem to notice me at all looking at him in all this training, so as not to give me an idea they notice me but his attention was always on me. He had never stood where his peripheral vision couldn't see me!'

Noah stared at the man unflinching and then looked at his boots and then at his hands. They are at the side and the standing was specific.

Noah smiled and said, "Instructor!"

"He said after 10 minutes we can tell him the answer and I will go first!" Monroe Saki quickly said. That led many of the kids to shout, saying they will be the ones to answer.

After ten minutes, the Instructor moved and walked forward and said, "If you have confidence and have a reason for your answer, raise your hand. If you give me the wrong answer that you just assumed with no reason, you will be punished!"

That kills the kids' enthusiasm. And about 45 Trainees raised their hands. And call them out.

He brought random sticks and shook them and made them take one. On each stick was a number. The one with no 1 will go first and then the rest will follow in chronological order.

"The Foundational essence is speeding up. Because the more you move the faster you become and there might be no limit for the speed until your stamina reaches its end!"

"Hmm. Stand there!" The instructor ordered and then called the kid with the number 2.

"The Foundational Essense is Blowing winds because when you run, the wind stops and pushes you back but if you can blow it too then you can move faster and even ride on it!"

"Yeaaah!" Many kids jumped as they supported the answer.

The instructor then asked the kid to stand to his left.

"The Foundational Essence is momentum. It's not about running, it's about moving and increasing the speeds ...."

"That's what I mean!" The first boy shouted.

"No. It's different. The instructor stood in one place but his hand moved with the sword before he took a step in the air!"

The kid was then asked to move to the right.
