17. I'll be Watching You

DIMITRI'S POV

Another day here locked up. I must admit I deserve it, I don't deny it. I was a son of a bitch for doing all I did to all those girls, especially Alexandra and our child. At that time, I didn't want it, and I didn't care what happened to her and the child, but after she ran away and I found out she had had a daughter who could only be mine, I started looking for her to try to remedy all the wrong I did.

It was from that moment, started the problems with Stefan. He hated children, but he hated Alexandra more than anything for some reason, he never told me. That's when we started to separate and everything. I highly doubt he's looking for me, and if he's doing it, it's to kill me, that's why I want to help Alexandra. I know I'll end dead and I'm not going to blame him or anything, as I said before, I deserve it, but I want to somehow amend everything I did, although I'm sure nothing will, but I don't lose anything by trying.

I don't know how many days I've been locked up here, but it's not that I care too much because I have nothing to do except think about the son of a bitch I was in recent years.

At that moment the door is thrown open with such force it hits the wall, and I can see a very angry Alexandra, so I suppose today will not be my lucky day and I will have a bad time.

"You have to explain a couple of things to me, Dimitri." Alexandra said through her teeth, "What?" I asked without knowing what she wanted to know exactly, she had my phone and was all I needed "Who do you have inside the DEA?" asked.

For a moment I was surprised she asked that, I didn't understand how important that was, but I must assume someone must have "I seem to remember we have two people in there. One of them is the boss here and another one I think is a guy named Derek or something. I remember he's one of Stefan's sons."

"What?" he said louder than I expected "Yes. She wasn't amused by having a son, but he came one day saying he wanted to help us, and I don't know what else happened, because he took him to the office, and I don't have the slightest idea what they talked about. Let me tell you, that boy is smart, and he was helping us with that boy."

"What boy?" she asked lower, but she seemed to be afraid of something, which wasn't normal for her. Not even when she was in there did she show her fear. "I don't remember his name, but what I do know is he's the guy who put his father in prison for drug trafficking." Her eyes widened. "Hugo?"

"Yes, that's what he's called." I nodded wondering why she cared about that boy now "Shit, what is he supposed to do?" she asked starting to pace back and forth "I understand they would try to get him out of the way, I guess you get what I mean."

"That they want to kill him?" I nodded, because that's the last thing I understood. "When?" she asked standing in front of me. "They were talking about how they were going to make him trust Derek and as soon as he got that, they were going to do it."

With that, Alexandra picked up the phone and began to call someone insistently, and I could see with the passing of the seconds, she was getting more nervous, and if I did anything, it was to know Alexandra quite well, at least her body's way of reacting, and when it seemed like she got tired of calling, she turned to the bodyguard who was with her and ended up leaving without saying anything, which left me more than confused.

"You're lucky that this girl cares more than anything of the guy and told me not to touch a single hair of yours, because otherwise you would be more dead than anything else at this moment." I nodded, because I knew anyone who knew Alexandra and liked her would "You hate me, don't you?"

I could see the fury in his eyes, he clenched his fists, I guess he wanted to punch me "I don't have to answer that question, it's the stupidest thing you could have asked."

"Listen, I know what I did wasn't the best I could have done, and I understand you're upset, but I regret doing everything I did." I said and he snorted, making it more than clear he didn't believe it for a second, not that I blamed him for it. "Tell that to someone else, because no one is going to believe you. If I were Alexandra, I would have killed you a long time ago. I still don't understand why she keeps you alive."

"I wonder the same thing, but I'm not lying when I say I want to help them kill my brother, he's not right in the head." I said, "And you are?" he asked with irony present in his voice "Trust me, if you think I'm sick in the head, my brother is twice or triple worse." He denied it, but I could see he had an immense desire to kill me "I don't doubt it, now shut that mouth before I punch you."

ALEXANDRA'S POV

I hoped everything I found on the phone was not real, and I had only looked at the contacts. I have no idea what else I was going to find on that damn phone. As I went on the to the DEA office where Hugo worked, I was calling him, but he didn't answer and every second that passed, I got more anxious.

It wasn't too far from the office, but in a place where there was nothing and skid marks on the road. Not too far ahead, there was a stopped car, and something told me to stop, so I stopped and went to the side the braking direction was going. I put the hood on and lowered my head a bit but being able to see everything around me.

When I was close, I started to hear voices and I start to pick up my pace and draw the gun. The moment I hear a shot. It doesn't take me long to get to where two men are, but the voice of one of which I can easily recognize. I couldn't see who was with him, I only know he was aiming at him and from Hugo's face, I could see something's wrong at this moment. I heard how he took the safety off his gun, and I had no idea what to do, the only thing that was clear to me was I didn't want anything to happen to Hugo, so I took the safety off my gun and pointed it towards the man.

"Hey, stupid." The person turns in my direction and looks back in Hugo's direction, but before I can do anything, the guy shoots at Hugo and runs off in the opposite direction, but it doesn't take me long to shoot in his direction, which ends up knocking him off. Hit the side of the face and I was going to follow him, but if it hadn't been for the fact I heard Hugo's scream of pain, I would have gone after that guy to kill him. I turn to go to Hugo, but when I'm a few steps from him, he reaches for his gun and points it at me.

"Don't even think about approaching stupid, because this time I won't fall for your game." He said "Hey, calm down...it's me...Alexandra." I carefully lowered the gun to the ground, raised my hands, and slowly pulled back my hood so he could see me. His face completely changed the moment he saw me, but it doesn't take long for him to raise his gun again in my direction.

"It was you who ordered me to be killed, right?" he asked full of fury "I have nothing to do with this, Hugo." I said calmly, because if I wanted to, I would have done it the moment I walked out the door of our house, "Don't lie. You taught me everything you did so later you had a reason to kill me."

"I wouldn't kill you, Hugo!!!! Why would I have to kill you?" I asked trying to get him to give me a single reason why I would kill him, and a logical reason "Oh I don't know, that's what I wonder." He said half in a whisper.

"Listen. I know you're scared, and your arm hurts more than anything. I swear I don't want to hurt you, let alone kill you." I said taking a small step in his direction, and to my luck, he didn't seem to notice. "So, can you explain to me how you found me?" he asked "I was calling you for a while and I was going to look for you at your office to tell you something important."

"What?" he asked with curiosity present in his voice. "It's about Derek and your boss." I said softly so as not to upset him more "Derek is a son of a bitch..." I frowned, because at this moment I didn't understand from where it was coming from until it occurred to me, maybe the person who was with him nothing ago was that man. "The man who was with you was him?"

"Don't play stupid, I know very well you were the one who blackmailed him. He's stupid." He said seriously and I stopped moving in his direction "Hugo… Listen to me for a moment…" I tried to say, but he raised the gun again "I have nothing to hear from you, Alexandra. I was stupid to fall in love with you. It sucks to be in love with you, believe me, but I can't do anything about it, and I could lose everything I've fought for these last few years just because of you. Why are you doing this to me, huh?"

I'm not going to deny it hurt what he was saying right now, because it really did, and it might suck he loves me, but I don't want anything to happen to him. The only thing that worries me right now is he's okay, and that means he stops bleeding like he's doing right now.

"Hugo, let me at least look at the wound on your arm... It doesn't look good, and I don't want anything to happen to you." I said, "You would have thought of you before ordering to kill me." He practically yelled, "Do you really think that about me? That I did I order to kill you?"

"What other option do I have?" he asked "And don't you think if I wanted to kill you, I would have killed you the day I took you to my house?" I asked half annoyed, because I couldn't believe he believed that.

The face he had at this moment I have no idea what he was saying. I think, for once in a long time, I had no idea what to do. I kicked the gun to the side and held up my hands so he could see them for peace of mind.

"Listen, let me at least help you, I don't want anything more than that. Then you can do whatever you want with me." I said moving closer to him again "Shit…you're right…it doesn't make sense…" he whispered. He seemed confused by something. "What?" I asked.

"The fact you were the one who ordered me to be killed… doesn't make sense… but then who…" he asked, looking at me "I'll tell you everything you want to know later, now the only thing that worries me is the wound on your shoulder. Can I come closer?" He nodded and I ran until I reached him. He put the gun down and ended up sitting down. I started to look at the wound and I could see it was bleeding a lot and Hugo was getting more and more pale.

"Hugo, you must stay awake. Tell me something" I told him "This shit hurts." He closed his eyes for a moment and clenched his jaw. "I know... just focus on talking to me, that will distract you from the pain."

"Up close you are more beautiful. Much more than Amelia was." He said opening his eyes and looking at me as if it were the first time, he had seen me "That's not so true, but thanks anyway. And who is Amelia?

"I want you to know I love you, Alexandra. I am willing to quit my job just for you." He said ignoring my question "I love you too, but I don't want you to quit your job, you love it more than anything."

"You are wrong, who I love more than anything despite the short time I've known you, is you I love the most." He said and passed out. I ended up taking off my sweatshirt to apply a tourniquet, but he was still bleeding, and I had no idea what to do, so I ended up calling Diego, who doesn't take long to answer.

"Is everything alright beauty?" he asked with concern evident in his voice. "Everything is like shit. I need you to come where I am… Hugo isn't well"

"What happened to him?" I heard something in the background move and a door slam shut. "Stupid Derek shot him, and he won't stop bleeding. He passed out a couple of minutes ago." I said, "Did you put a tourniquet on him?"

"Yes, but it's still bleeding, and I don't have the slightest idea what to do anymore." The sweatshirt was getting dirty quickly causing me to start to panic, but I know at this moment I had to be as calm as possible " Okay, listen to me... First of all, calm down and tell me where the wound is."

"In the shoulder." I quickly said "Which part would you say from the shoulder? In the upper, middle or lower? I moved the sweatshirt away a little and saw it was in the middle area down "In the middle pulling down."

"Shit... Listen, I can't make it on time, so you'll have to do it yourself." He said seriously and I heard a car door close "What?" I asked, fearing what he was going to say I had to do " I get the feeling from what you're telling me, that the bullet may have hit the artery, and if you don't want him to bleed out, I need you to remove the bullet and pinch the artery."

"And how am I supposed to do that?" I asked "Don't worry, I'll explain what you must do, and I'll be there as soon as possible. First of all, you must relax. Do your hands shake?"

"No." I said putting my other hand straight. It was partly an advantage what had happened to me and Megan in there, were few things that scared us too much and even fewer things that made us tremble. "That's great. I need you to find some tweezers, or something like that."

I started looking around for something like that, but we were in the middle of the woods and I'm sure there wasn't anything like that, that wouldn't infect his wound later, but then I remember Hugo's car isn't too far from us, so I head over there quickly and I start looking for something similar to a pair of tweezers, and I was about to give up until I find something similar.

"Okay, I found it." I said, squeezing the wound again, "Perfect. Now I need you to clean it with something isn't stained, that will not disinfect it, but it will help so in case it does get an infection, it will not be so complicated."

The first thing I thought of was my shirt, but it was stained with Hugo's blood, so I got back in the car and found some tissues and water. I put some on the handkerchief and wiped it off.

"I get it." I said getting out of the car "Okay, now go over to him and take the bullet out of him. Be careful, you have to avoid touching the artery." I stopped dead in my tracks thinking how the hell could I do that "How the fuck am I supposed to do that? I have never done it in my life, and you can be sure that I am not going to start trying it."

"Beautiful, calm down, I've seen you in situations like this more than once and I know you'll be able to do it. Nothing will happen to him. Now relax and focus on the boy." I inhaled as much air as I could and slowly exhaled it. I looked at Hugo who was still bleeding and I knew that I couldn't allow anything to happen to him. I tore up his shirt and ran my hand over his wound to remove some of the blood so I could see the hole a bit better.

"You'll do great, beauty." And with that, I stuck the pliers in until they collided with what I guess was the bullet. I carefully opened the clamps and picked up the bullet. It leaked a few times, but I finally got it out and it started bleeding more than it had for a while.

"Diego, he's bleeding more." I said "Okay, that means it did hit the artery and the bullet was plugging the wound. I need you to cut it."

"So what?" I asked, " So you plug the artery with your fingers." He said and I took a breath again "Can't I do it with the tweezers?" asked.

"We risk getting another cut, and if that happens, we risk losing him, so I need you to make a cut, not too big, just enough to catch your fingers. And it must be deep, but being careful you don't hit the artery. The moment you feel tapping on your fingers, you'll know it's the artery. After that, you will have to look for a cut on it and when you find it, you will press on the top of the wound."

I nodded even though I knew he wasn't going to see me. "Are you going to take a long time to get here?" I asked, " I'm almost there, but don't worry, you'll do great."

I took my knife out of my back pocket and made a cut big enough for my fingers to get caught and when I felt the tapping Diego was talking about, I started to go through the artery until I felt like a hole, so I moved my fingers a couple of millimetres higher, and I pushed.

"I think I have it." I said happily "That's great. Does he bleed too much now?" I shook my head, but then realized he couldn't see me "No, just a little." I said smiling "You have done it beauty. Keep your fingers there, I'm less than two minutes away."

"Will you continue with the call?" I asked " Of course." We were silent from that moment, but it didn't take him long to arrive, he knelt next to her and began taking things out of the backpack he was carrying. "You did great beauty, now I need you to get my fingers out of there so I can put this clip on there."

"Won't it hurt him?" I asked with a frown. "No, I've used them when I was on duty, and they don't hurt. Trust me, I'm not going to let anything happen to him." I nod, because I already knew that, and I slowly took my fingers out of the wound and Diego put his in faster than I did at the time, and it didn't take him long to get them out. He poured a liquid over the wound and then put a couple of gauze pads over it, pouring the same liquid over it again.

"That's it, do you want to take him to a hospital or somewhere else?" he asked turning in my direction. "He won't be safe in a hospital with the Russians after him, and considering they have DEA people working with them, I don't think it's the most sensible thing to do." I said thinking where we could take him to make him safer "So where do we take him?"

"Home. We have to redouble security." I said thinking about what we had to do "I'll order it the moment we get to the house. Now I need you to drive so I can take care of him in case anything happens to him."

"Okay, do you need me to help you with something?" I asked getting up from the ground. "Can you take the backpack to the car and put it in the back while I walk your man to the car?" I frowned, because Hugo and I were nothing for him to say that "He's not my man..." I started, but he didn't let me finish "Oh, of course he is, but we'll talk at another time that's more appropriate than this."

I opened the back door so Diego could put himself and Hugo in the back of the car, closed the door, and quickly went to the driver's side to go home.

On the way home, Hugo was conscious again, but not for long. I had to go down roads no one was going because they had reported an accident, Hugo's, and everyone was heading there.

As soon as we get home, it doesn't take long for me to get out of the car and open the door for Diego to get him out of the car, and as soon as we enter the house my mother and Megan stare at us, but the person I least wanted them to see it, appears through the kitchen door with a smile on her face soon disappears. Analissa stands up quickly when she sees me looking towards the kitchen and leads Alison towards it.

"Shall I take him to the guest room?" Diego asked "Take him to my room, is closest to you, I'm going right now. You know what you have to do." I said and with that, Diego went upstairs, and I was going to follow him until Megan stops me and makes me turn to face her.

"Can you tell what the hell is going on and why the DEA agent has blood everywhere? And you too?" Megan asked angrily, and the truth at this moment was not something she wanted to discuss. "It's something I'll explain to you another time, now I have other things to do." I said heading towards the stairs, but of course, he had to follow me "Has something happened to you? Who is that man and who has done this to you?"

"This blood is not mine, and they haven't done anything to me, don't worry. What I need right now is to make sure he's okay and reassure Alison." I said without stopping, but making it clear I wasn't going to talk about this right now "Okay... calm down... Diego isn't going to let anything happen to him ... I'll take care of Alison."

"I'll be down in no time, I'll change, I'll make sure Hugo is okay and then I'll go down with her." I said walking into the room "As you want, but calm down, okay?" I calmed down a bit and headed upstairs to check on Hugo and to change. When I entered the door, Diego was about to leave, but he stays inside and closes the door at the moment I enter.

"How is he doing?" I asked walking into the room "He's alright. I put a sedative on him so he can rest for a while, but you did a great job, sweetie. We will have to check if a fever appears, it's an indication there is an infection and many other things, but don't worry, I will personally take care he gets well. Better tell me how Alison is."

"I don't know, I came to change and make sure Hugo was okay." He nodded and approached me "He'll be fine, don't worry. Calm down." I shook my head, because this was something I couldn't do right now with so much going on in my head. "I can't."

"Yes, you can, everything is fine and no one in this house is going to allow anything to happen to any of the family." He said "I hope so. Later I need you to come with me and Fabio." I said turning around and heading to the door "Where to?" asked.

"I have to do something, and I need you to take the backpack you brought for Hugo." I said without wanting him to say anything "What are we going to do?" he insisted "Let's make a deal with Dimitri." I said, "Why do I get the feeling that I won't like the idea?"

"Because that's how it's going to be, but I have no other choice." I was going to go into the bathroom, but Diego reached me and grabbed my arm "Ale, I'm not saying you don't know what you're doing, but before doing something you don't want or should, make sure everything will be fine."

"And it will be. I'm going to take a shower." I said "Okay, but I need you to relax." I nodded, because even though it wasn't possible for me to do it, I had to do it for Alison "And I will, don't worry and make sure nothing happens to Hugo."

"It won't happen." He said, letting go of my arm. Before entering the bathroom, I went to the closet to get some underwear, pants, a T-shirt, and a jacket to go to the shower. Once in the bathroom, I locked the door as soon as I leaned against the door and began to cry. I was like that for a couple of minutes until I got up to take a shower.

An hour later, I left the bathroom, made sure Hugo was okay, and headed downstairs. Everyone was in the living room, and it doesn't take long for Alison to come to my side, which I end up picking up.

"Do you want to go for a walk with mommy?" I asked her and she agreed. I left the room towards the garden with her in my arms. Once we were through the gate led to the back garden, I put her down and we moved away from the house until we were sitting on the grass. "Who is the man Diego brought?" asked. "A friend."

"And why was he bleeding?" she asked again. This girl was too curious. "Because someone hurt him." I said looking at her and making sure she was okay "Is he okay now?" She stared at me for a couple of seconds with obvious curiosity on her face "He will be. Diego will make him heal."

"Why does someone hurt another person? Isn't that bad?" I agreed, because at least was clear to me. "Then why did they do it to him?" I shrugged, thinking what I was going to say to her happenned "Remember the bad guys in the books I read to you at night?"

"Yeah, I don't like them." She said with a pout "And why don't you like them?" I asked her and she thought for a couple of seconds "Because they are bad, they want to hurt others and you taught me you can't hurt others without reason."

"Well, those people are the same as the bad guys hurt in your stories." We were silent for a while, I was thinking about when my daughter had grown so much and so fast and besides, thinking about the deal I would make with Dimitri, yes, I would make sure he didn't run away or risk it, then I'll kill him without blinking.

"Better tell me how you are. Does your tummy still hurt? I asked, focusing on her again, "No, it doesn't hurt anymore." She said happily, which made me calm down a bit more "Wouldn't it hurt because you ate a lot of candy?"

The smile she was trying to contain made it clearer to me the pain in her tummy was because of it. "I only ate a few." She said in a whisper, and I raised my eyebrow when she looked at me "Are you sure about that?" I asked her "Well… maybe I ate more than a few." She said playing with his fingers and I laughed "Well you shouldn't do that, you know you get sick on your stomach, and you don't like that, right?"

Alison shook her head, and I ended up sitting her on my lap. "Well, next time, don't eat so many candies, okay?" she nodded and turned in my arms. "Can I ask you a question?" I nodded, and I could see something was suddenly worrying her "I don't want you to get mad or anything, but is my dad bad too?"

I didn't expect that question, and I had no idea what to answer to it either, because it could be he was bad at the time I met him and the time I was there, but right now, something told me he had changed, or at least that's what I want to think.

"I don't know." I said what was I supposed to tell her? That her biological father was the worst person that could exist? I wasn't going to say it to my daughter, at least not right now. "Don't you know my dad?"

"It's not that, I do know him, but I don't know if he's bad or not. It's a complicated thing to explain. But why do you say he's bad? I asked, "Aunt Megan says so." My anger appeared, but it was small for now. Megan always had to stick her nose where she wasn't called "What exactly?" asked.

"He harmed you and said bad things to you." I would end up killing her one day for saying things she shouldn't to people, but more, for saying them to my daughter because she didn't have to know what had happened to me with her father, she was too innocent and good for her to find out what happened between her father and me.

"Don't listen to your aunt, people can change if they love them enough." I tried to assure her. I knew some people could change, but I don't think Dimitri and his brother could. "So, you know where dad is?" she asked with a spark of hope in her eyes "Yes, I know."

"And will I be able to meet him one day?" she asked "I don't know." If there was one thing was more than clear to me, it was she wasn't going to put Alison at risk for nothing in the world, and Dimitri was a great risk. "What I really want is for you to be happy." she said in a whisper and looking at our hands "But I already am." I told her.

"But you can be happier. I have never seen you with a boyfriend." She said looking straight into my eyes and I internally frowned, not understanding where this was coming from now "That's because I haven't had it."

"If you do it for me, you don't have to worry. I want to have a good dad and take care of you." My tears were going to fall if I didn't control myself before. Sometimes I thought I didn't deserve a daughter as good as her "At some point I'm sure you'll have one."

"Really?" I think after a long time, I hadn't seen that sparkle in Alison's eyes, and if before I was not clear about trying something with Hugo, now I had to at least try, because the only thing that mattered to me was my daughter's happiness, and I know Hugo is a great guy who won't let anything happen to my daughter.

"Really, but I can't assure you it will be soon." I said, I didn't want her to get too excited either "I don't care when you're happy as long as you're happy with them."

"I will be as long as I have my princess with me." With that, I started tickling her and we played for a while until Analissa called us because it was dinner time. Before dinner, I went to talk to Diego to find out about Hugo, but he said he wouldn't wake up until tomorrow at the earliest, so we went to dinner and during dinner, everything was laughing and joking. At least it helped me clear up a bit of everything.

When we finished dinner I took Alison to her room, gave her a bath and read her a story. It didn't take long for Megan to come over and lie down on the other side of Alison, and it didn't take long for them both to fall asleep, and lucky for me, at least it made sure she wouldn't come after me, which was the best thing I could do. It could happen at this very moment, because if something is more than clear to me, it's that I know what I am about to do, wouldn't be liked at all, well, more than anyone, but Fabio and Diego will not prevent me from doing it.

As soon as I left the house, Diego and Fabio were already behind me and even though one of the two was going to drive, I didn't let them. I took the keys, sat in the seat and led us to the cellar where I kept Dimitri.

"What are we doing here?" Diego asked. "As I told you before, I have to make a deal with Dimitri." I said without turning around, "What kind of deal?" he asked with a hint of suspicion in his voice. "The one to release him in exchange for his help."

Before I could enter, Diego grabs my arm and turns me around to see if I was being serious, which I was "What are you going to do? Have you gone crazy? he said with his eyes twice their normal size "I haven't. He knows Stefan better than anyone and he knows things we don't. After all, he was the one who told us Derek was his brother's son and he was helping."

"And you trust him?" he said with a snort, and he has no idea how much he was with him, but if he wanted to end this soon, I needed his help "I don't trust him, but I don't have any other choice either."

I entered the cellar and went to where Dimitri was. The bodyguards at the door parted, and I stepped inside in no time. With a look, I told both Diego and Fabio to stay by the door, the former not being very confident with what I was going to do, and Dimitri was looking at me without understanding anything.

"Would you be willing to help us catch your brother?" I asked him bluntly "It's what I try to do. My brother has lost his mind, and I can't play along with him. I don't want him get to my daughter."

"Make no mistake, she's my daughter and no one else's." I told him "Okay, but it's the same. I don't want him get to your daughter." I could see he was being sincere, and it bothered me. "Then we can come to some sort of deal."

"What kind of deal?" he asked with obvious surprise on his face "I'll get you out of here and you will help me find your brother and kill him." He nodded "I will, but I remind you my brother wants to kill me." I shrugged, because I really didn't give a shit about it. "Don't worry about it, you'll have surveillance on you constantly. Nothing will happen to you."

"You'll put it on, so I don't run away, won't you?" I shrugged again, because even though it was partly that, the other part was because I didn't want him near any of my family "Partly, but I'm not kidding. You are my best asset right now to find your brother. You know the organization better than anyone I can find, and I suppose within the mafia you have people who support you."

"That's true." He said, "So what, do you take the deal or not?" He nodded and I turned around to get out of there "Diego, I need you to heal all his wounds." I said focusing my gaze on him "Where will he stay?"

"In your room, Diego. You will move into the guest room." I said, and again, the surprise appeared on his face "Are you going to put it in the house?" I nodded "It's the safest place there can be and that way I can keep an eye on it."

"And did you ever think Megan could find him?" I denied, because I wasn't going to do it, or at least I had to make the rest believe it would happen that way, I wasn't so convinced "I won't leave that room if you want it that way. I really want to help you."

"You already heard it, now start to heal it. And Dimitri, I warn you I will be watching you. The slightest attempt you make to want to escape, and what I have done to you so far will be nothing compared to what I will do to you. I said, "I won't run away." He seemed convinced, but I still didn't trust him one bit, what's more, I don't think I'll ever be able to. "You'd better, because I'm really starting to think you've changed at least a little."
