26. Ale, please...

ALEXANDRA'S POV

"You know I won't let your dear little boyfriend out of here alive, right? At least you're lucky I'm leaving my beloved granddaughter alive, mostly because she's the only heir I have left after you. I knew all this time you were playing dead... I must say you're not bad at hiding, my darling daughter..." Stefan said "Please Stefan..." I begged him, it's the only thing I could do at this moment "Dad." He said, but all I cared about was getting my daughter and Hugo out of here. "Don't do anything to Hugo, please, I beg you."

"Call me dad and I'll think about it." This couldn't be happening to me. A couple of days ago, this degenerate guy had kidnapped my daughter and Hugo and if there's one thing that's more than clear to me, it's I'll do whatever it takes to get them back. I wanted them away from this guy. "Dad…please…let them go…" I said with practically tears in my eyes "You just let me down, dear. I will have no choice but to kill them... Larsson, kill them..." I quickly got up to avoid it, but someone behind me prevented me from getting up and going for that stupid "NO."

MEGAN'S POV

By the time Hugo had arrived with Alexandra in his arms, we worried a little about her, but he assured us she was tired, and he was going to put her to bed while my mother and his finished making dinner, but it gave me the feeling something wasn't right.

After Hugo got downstairs, and after I was there with them for a while, I decided it was better to make sure Alexandra was okay, because really, I had the feeling something was wrong with her, and once I was in front of the door I heard her scream from her room, I didn't hesitate for a single second to enter, but as soon as I entered, she took the gun from I don't know where and pointed it at me.

"Ale, put the gun down." I said raising my hands in the air for her to calm down "I WANT YOU TO GO AWAY." She screamed and if before I was more than clear something had happened, now I knew for sure, but I had to focus on that at another time, because the most important thing at this moment is to get Alexandra out of this state.

"Hey, it's all good... Nothing's going to happen to you." I assured her, taking a step in her direction, "I won't hesitate to shoot if you don't get out of here, or let me get out of here." She said looking everywhere in the room and at the same time without taking her eyes off me "Ale, you're home." I tried to assure her, but she denied "This is not my house... I want to get out of here."

At that moment both Hugo and my mother entered the room, and I suppose they must have heard all the fuss going on here. What was really starting to worry me was she seemed to be in state she was sometimes six years ago, after we got out of that hellhole.

"Love, put the gun down…" Hugo said, raising his hands in the air, but at this moment the only thing he would do, is upset Alexandra more than she already was "DON'T EVER CALL ME THAT. I WANT YOU TO GET OUT OF HERE." She yelled and Hugo began to approach Alexandra, but between my mother and I we put him behind us, because if we knew anything, it's at this moment she didn't want anyone near her, much less a man.

"Let me go with her." Hugo turned in my direction, and even though I saw this was killing him, I didn't want anything to happen to him. "Megan, get him out of here and get a sedative." My mother said after a couple of seconds looking at her "Do you think she will need it?" I asked her and she agreed

"I'm not going to leave her like this." Hugo started, but we both turned in his direction to make him understand it was necessary for him to leave "Yes, you're going to leave. If Alexandra were to do something to you, I wouldn't forgive her."

"She would never do anything to me." He assured, and in other circumstances I would be with him, but Hugo had no idea how to treat Alexandra in this situation and I don't want her to regret more than what she will do by herself when she returns to being herself. "At the moment, she's not the Alexandra you know, we better go out so my mother can calm her down."

"Mommy?" Hearing Alison, we all turn, and Alexandra points the gun in her direction, causing her to automatically duck behind me and start crying. "Alexandra, you are scaring your daughter." I told her trying to make them both relax, but Alexandra only tightened the gun in her hands "I don't have a daughter."

At those words, Alison cries louder and louder. We had to find a way to get Alexandra to calm down, because by the time she was herself again, she would hate herself for everything she's saying to Alison. "You don't remember me? Mommy, I'm Alison." Alison asked sadly and I almost couldn't hold back my tears myself. As soon as she steps away from me and Alexandra notices her, it's like she's back to herself, because she drops the gun suddenly and stares at her.

"Mommy, don't you love me anymore?" she asked her mother again, who seemed to be herself again "No... Of course, I love you princess..." Alison didn't even finish listening to what Alexandra said. She ran down the hall to her room and Alexandra's tears ran like seas. Hugo had the face of not understanding anything, my mother approaches to hug Alexandra and I stay there until Ale in one of her outbursts decides to go to, I don't know where.

"Hugo, you better go to Alexandra before she does something stupid." I said turning in his direction "What just happened?" he asked confused "I'll explain later, go with her while I go see Alison." With that, Hugo went after Alexandra, while me and my mother stood there not understanding what triggered this outbreak in Ale.

"We have to call Diego and tell him to bring a couple of sedatives home." My mother said and I nodded, because whatever was stressing Alexandra, it didn't seem to be very good, and it wasn't just because we weren't home "I don't understand what happened. When she went out, she wasn't like that."

"I don't know what happened, but maybe something happened to her along the way and reminded her of what you went through." My mother said trying to find a logical reason "I don't know, but later I'm going to ask Hugo what the hell happened." I assured "We will, now you better go make sure Alison is okay."

I gave my mom a little hug and headed to Alison's room where I'm pretty sure she was. When I opened the door, I couldn't see her anywhere, but I did hear her crying.

"Princess, why don't you go out and see auntie?" I asked her and she was silent, or at least as quiet as she could, so I started to guide myself by ear until I got the feeling she was coming out of the closet, and it's confirmed she's in there as soon as I open the door. "Princess, don't cry." I told her trying to calm her down "Mommy doesn't love me." She kept crying and I denied it, because it wasn't true.

"Don't say that. You know your mother adores you." I assured her by giving her a kiss on the temple and moving slightly as I had seen Ale do thousands of times to calm her down. "Then why did she say she didn't have a daughter?" she asked letting me see her blue eyes the same as her mother's "Baby, your mother at that time was not her."

"Why?" she asked, wiping away her tears. "Do you remember once I told you they did bad things to me and your mother?" I asked to see if she remembered and she nodded "Well, they scare your mother so much she doesn't know where she is or who's around her."

"Why?" It wasn't something she should know, especially if we consider Alexandra would kill me for it, but it was the only way I could find, for her to understand what was happening to Alexandra "Because she's afraid they'll do something to you. You know you're the most important thing to her, she loves you very much." I said and she nodded again "Do you think if I give her a hug, she'll feel better?" A small smile began to appear on her face, which made me breathe a little easier. "That will help her, but it has to be later since she's out now."

"And daddy?" she asked "He went with her, don't worry, she's going to be fine." I said and she nodded thinking about what I had told her "Okay. So can we play while they come?" she asked "Of course, take whatever you want, and we'll go to the living room. This way, we play with the grandmothers; what do you think?

"And Uncle Diego?" Even though I would love for her to be with all the people she loved, it is most likely that Diego wasn't at home. "When he comes back, we will do it." She smiled and ran out of the room.

HUGO'S POV

I don't know what had happened to Alexandra. When I left her, she was fine, at least as much as she could be after what happened with that guy. After both Megan and Analissa told me to go after her, I didn't hesitate to go, but I had already lost her. I stopped for a while to see until I remembered at the moment, she told me she used to go to the beach when she was angry, stressed or whatever bothered her, and if there was one thing I could assure at this moment, it was she was upset, so I quickly I headed for the beach.

Once I got there, I could see her figure, so I slowly got closer to her until I sat next to her. I could see she was crying, but I'm not sure if she heard me coming or what.

"I want to be alone, Hugo." She said hugging her knees " You know I'm not going to leave you alone." I heard her sigh, and even though I know it was very likely she wanted to be alone, I wasn't going to leave her, not after seeing how she was. "Listen love, we don't have to talk, but don't ask me to leave because I won't do that." She nodded and I sat next to her. I stayed looking at the sea for I don't know how long until I noticed how Alexandra was leaning on me. I put an arm around her shoulders and kissed her on the forehead.

"I'm sorry about before." She said sighing and closing her eyes "For what?" I asked without having the slightest idea why she was really apologizing "For point the gun in your direction. I didn't want to do it." He said, "What has happened before? Why did your mother seem to know what she was doing?"

At this moment I had more questions than answers and both Analissa and Megan seemed to know what was happening while I had no idea " Do you remember when I told you what happened to me shortly after leaving in there at my parents' house?"

"About you not recognizing them and reacting badly?" I asked, remembering the little she had told me "It hasn't happened to me in a while, but after the nightmare..." she stopped short, as if she were remembering the nightmare must have upset her so much " What nightmare?"

"Stefan was killing you and Alison." And at that moment she began to cry. I started to run my hand over her back until she calmed down a bit, I moved her away from me a bit and made sure she was a little better, which seemed. "My love, you know that's not going to happen. I'm not going to allow anything to happen to any of us in the house." I assured her, but she denied "I feel like he's close, I don't like that feeling." She said taking small breaths.

"I know, but you'll see nothing will happen to you, I'll make sure of it." I didn't know what I could do to reassure her we'd all be okay, and she probably wouldn't feel safe until that son of a bitch was dead. "I don't want anything to happen to you either, I love you." She said, but I denied, because nothing was going to happen to me, that was more than clear to me "Nothing is going to happen to me."

"I'm going to get more bodyguards." She assured leaving her head on my shoulder and looking at the horizon "If that's how you stay calmer, let's do it." I said, "I'm going to take down that guy." She whispered and I didn't know if it was to me or to herself, "We're going to do it, together."

I kissed her on the forehead and held her until we decided to go home. At the moment we were about to enter the house, she stops short and doesn't move forward, so I turn around. I could see she's scared, and I had no idea why.

"Love, what's wrong?" I asked as she stood up and tensed, "I'm not ready to face anyone in there." She said and I didn't understand why she didn't want to "They'll be fine, they won't be angry." I assured and she shook her head with tears welling up in her eyes "But what I said about Alison…"

"Megan has taken it upon herself to find an excuse so she doesn't take anything you said the wrong way." I said, trying to reassure her, "I said I didn't have a daughter, and she is what matters most to me in this world." A couple of tears escaped from her eyes, and I wiped them away. "I know, but don't worry, as I told you, your sister will make sure she doesn't think badly."

"Even though Megan has managed to keep her from getting mad at me, I am. I'm a shitty person." She assured and denied, because it wasn't true "You aren't. At that time, you weren't yourself and you are going to therapy for that."

"The therapy is not helping me at all, and I'm getting sick of going, honestly." She said, "I know it's maddening, believe me, I know what it feels like. Before I realized the therapy was doing me good, I wanted to get out thousands of times."

"And what is it that kept you there?" he asked looking at me "My mother. She made me understand I wasn't well and after a long time, I realized what she said was true. I thank her whenever I can."

"But I feel like it's not helping me." She said and I denied it, because it wasn't entirely true, "I'll make you see it's helping you. As I told you that day, if we don't take today into account, you haven't had nightmares and you've been sleeping well. Afterwards, you are happier, with fewer worries."

"In the back of my mind I'm always worried, there is always something bothering me and worrying me." She said and I agreed, because I already knew that "I know, but you'll see how it will happen. I will help you in any way I can, I promise, but now don't worry about going in there, because no one is going to judge you for what happened before."

"You think?" she asked with a twinkle in her eyes, I don't know if from tears or from the hope they weren't "I'm completely sure, let's go." I took her hand and opened the door to enter the house, and the first thing happens when we enter the house is Alison appearing out of nowhere and hugs Alexandra. I could see a couple of tears in her eyes, so I put my arm around her shoulders.

"Mommy, can we play? Aunt Megan promised me." She said, "Alison, don't nag your mother, okay." Analissa half scolded Alison "It's okay mom, don't worry." She assured "Besides, miss, soon we will have dinner, so go wash your hands for dinner." She said crossing her arms and putting on a serious face "But Grandma..." Alison began to protest with a pout "You'll play after dinner with your mother, now go wash your hands."

"Princess, listen to your grandmother. After dinner, we'll play all you want, okay?" Alexandra said with a smile on her face. "Will you play with us, daddy?" she asked turning in my direction "Of course, let's go wash our hands before your mother and grandmother get mad." I said to let both Megan and Analissa talk to Alexandra "I'm going to beat you daddy."

With that, Alison ran off without giving me time to go after her. It is clear with a couple of steps I would reach her, but I was going to let her win. Also, before I left with Alison, I wanted to make sure Alexandra was okay, but I decided it was better to go when I saw her mother and sister were hugging her. It was better to leave them a moment of mother and daughters.

ALEXANDRA'S POV

I realized before going to the bathroom with Alison, Hugo turned to make sure I was okay, I could see it in his eyes. With each passing day, I loved this man more, really.

"Are you better?" asked my mother "Yes mom, I'm sorry I pointed the gun at you." I told them, because it was true "Don't worry about it, you don't have to apologize, I know you wouldn't do anything to hurt us." I denied, because despite Analissa's optimism, I'm not so sure "I wouldn't be so sure."

"It won't be the first time you've threatened us with something, and believe me, if it didn't scare me the first time, it's not going to do it now." She assured with a smile on her face and giving me a squeeze by the hand "I love you very much mom." I told her hugging her "I love you too."

"What about me?" Megan asked with a small smile, but I knew something was bothering her, probably not having the slightest idea what had happened to make this happen to me again "I love you too, Megan, you are the best daughters I could have."

"We love you too, Mom." Megan said, "I know, but now come on, wash your hands before I have to scold you." She said half-jokingly "Hey, you have to tell Alison she's the little girl." Megan protested. "You are too and always will be to me, so keep going. I don't want to have to scold you in front of the little girl."

"Okay, here we go." I couldn't help but laugh. I know Analissa and if Francesco were alive, still sees us as girls, and what I like the most is they let us be, well, Analissa keeps letting us be like the girls we never were, which made me love her more.

"It's good to see you're well again." Megan said next to me. "I am." I assured her, "Can you at least tell me why we went back to the beginning of everything? You were fine until this afternoon." She asked concerned, "Can I show you later? I don't want to talk about it right now."

I could see the confusion on her face for a moment, and curiosity then "Show?" I nodded, because I needed to know if she really knew him. "I have to go make sure of a couple of things he told me." I said with a shrug, "Is it a person?" she asked again "Yes, but you'll see. Now let's go wash our hands before mom comes to scold us."

"It will be better; I don't want my niece to laugh at me later." We started walking back towards the bathroom, and once we were a couple of steps away from entering, I stopped when I saw Hugo and Alison talking so softly, I couldn't hear anything they were talking about. "They seem very focused on the conversation. What are they talking about?" Megan asked with a smile on her face, and even though there was one on mine too, I knew they were up to something.

"I have no idea; I just hope they aren't plotting anything against me." I said, "They wouldn't do such a thing." She assured me, but I denied it, because I know it was probably to improve my mood and make me forget what had happened. "Say that to all the times they tickled me or to the ideas that come to mind in those heads of them to get out of the house."

"But they make you happy." She said and I nodded "Too true to say otherwise." I said with a big smile on my face "I don't think in all the time I've known you; I've never seen you smile like you're doing right now, let alone after what happened a while ago."

"If you told me at another time, I would not have believed it, but they make me happy." We stayed for a couple of seconds looking at them until Megan must have gotten tired of being quiet "Hugo has a lot to do with it. Before him, it was almost impossible to get you out of that dark place where your mind goes, but since he's here, you're happy and you're not always in that dark place." She said, but I don't understand why they thought I wasn't happy before him "I was happy before." I assured.

"You weren't and we all know it." I denied, because it might be I didn't laugh as much as I do since Hugo came into our lives, but yes, he was "That's what you all think, but I was. Obviously not the way I am now, but I was, and I don't like those smiles at all. They are up to something." I said, "Why do you say that?" she asked, and I pointed at them. "Those smiles plastered on their face."

"What about them?" she asked without understanding what I was referring to "Those smiles say everything, and nothing good." I assured her "Whatever, they wouldn't do it to me, let them take it out on you." She said with a laugh, "They're up to something big, so you're probably in the middle of it."

"No, no, no. She won't do anything to me. I'm her favourite aunt." Now it was my turn to laugh. It could be she was, but because she was the only one who Alison had, but I know what those two were like, and Hugo knew perfectly well Megan would be stressed too, so it would be a way to relax both of us do what is going through his head.

"If I find out that, because of my dear brother-in-law, the girl is plotting something against me, I'll kill him Ale, that's clear to you." Right at that moment, Diego enters the bathroom and tells them something. This didn't look very good to me, but as soon as Hugo sees Megan and me, he silences the other two, so my assumptions they are up to something are true, and Diego is involved in all this.

During dinner, it was all laughter as usual and after we finished, Megan and I helped our mother and Hugo's mother with the dishes. "Girls, why don't you go to the garden with the others instead?" Analissa asked, even though she looked like she was kicking us out of the kitchen. "Mom, let's at least finish helping you."

"You don't have to. Besides, I have Rose. Better go play with Alison, she was excited when she told me she was going to play with you and Hugo." Hugo's mother nodded and we both stared at each other "But..." Megan and I started, but they both began to deny "But nothing, ladies, let's walk to the garden now."

"Okay, we realize you don't want us in the kitchen." Megan said with a big smile on her face, but deep down I know she was glad she didn't have to, if there was one thing Megan hated, was washing the dishes "Right, let's go now. Have a good time, girls."

Both me and Megan didn't understand what my mother meant, but we still went out into the garden to be hit with bullets from toy guns. "We are going to kill you girls!!!! You won't even give you time to get to the guns." Said Diego excitedly from somewhere in the garden "But what the hell..." Before Megan finished saying the curse, I pushed her towards the bushes closest to the door so they would stop hitting us, and once behind them, Megan hits me arm.

"What's with that push?" she asked, stroking her arm. "I wasn't going to let you swear in front of my daughter." I replied, "I wasn't even in front." It might not be in sight, but I know it was close, I thought I heard her laugh "But it's close." I assured her

"Okay, you're right, but you could at least be kinder to me instead of pushing me." I denied, because I don't understand why she was protesting so much, nor it would have been a big push "Stop complaining and let's look for weapons." I said starting to look everywhere where the toy weapons could be.

"Are you telling me you want to play this with them? I thought you didn't want Alison around weapons?" I nodded, because it's not what I wanted best, but if there was one thing was more than clear to me, it was I was going to teach Alison how to handle real weapons. What better way to start than with ones that won't hurt herself?

"Not a real one at the moment, but it's a good way to start training her" I said, and she ended up nodding "Okay, you're right. The thing is, where the fuck are those toy guns? she asked starting to look from one side to the other "If you are looking for them, they are behind one of the trees behind you, but before you get to them, we will give you."

"What are we going to do, Ale? We cannot lose." Megan asked annoyed by the opportunity to lose, it wasn't something we were used to, nor did we like "And we're not going to do it, they don't really know who they messed with."

"We need a plan." She said becoming serious "I know, we need to get to the weapons without them hitting us." I started looking for a way to get to the guns without getting hit. "If we go on the ground, do you think they'll hit us?" Megan asked, looking at the trees behind us. "Not if it's in the close ones, but I assure you Diego put them far away."

"Why do you say it was Diego?" she asked looking at me "He was the one who whispered to the other two when they were in the bathroom. Clearly it was him." I shrugged and began to think we could do "Okay, okay… So, what do we do?" she asked, "I distract them, and you go after them."

It's the best we could do right now, and Megan was fast. It would serve as training in a way, and Megan was rarely running for anything while we were training. "How do you intend to distract the three of them?" she asked, not quite believing she was capable. "I have my methods."

"If these are the methods I'm thinking of, then I can tell you they will only work with Hugo, and I don't think you want to do anything weird in front of your daughter." She said and I denied, because only she would be thinking I was going to seduce my boyfriend in front of my daughter and the rest of the people in the house "I'm not going to do anything of what you are thinking, but I remind you we have been in situations a lot worse and similar to these and we always go out."

"But wounded." She said and I nodded, because it was true "Megan, focus for a second, this is a game, and we don't want to lose, do we?" she nodded and became serious again "Of course we don't want to lose." She assured "Well, come on, I'll distract them, and you'll go for the weapons."

"How will I know where you are going to be?" she asked before heading out into the trees "Don't worry about it, you'll find out where I am." I said with a smile on my face "See you in a bit sister, let's teach those stupid that nothing is going to stop us from beating us."

"You're not calling my daughter stupid, are you?" I said raising an eyebrow "No, I'll find a way for her to come to our team, I'm not going to let that stupid Diego put weird things in her little head." She said seriously "Okay, let's go."

With that, I got out from behind the bush, and I could see how Hugo and Diego were moving to shoot me, but I don't know if they were doing it on purpose, or they were moving slow, I think I give more for the first option.

I started to dodge the toy bullets until I got to the other bush, but I didn't last long there as I had to distract them so Megan could get the guns. "Can you just stay still for a while so we can finish once and for all?"

I couldn't help but laugh as I hid behind trees and bushes "Do you really think we're going to let you win us? You better than anyone should know we will reach those weapons and we will finish win." I said practically laughing at his thought "There's no way you're going to come to arms without us hitting you."

Just then Megan comes up to me and hands me the gun. I could see the smile on her face, and I couldn't stop mine from widening, because now we really had them. "You are too still for having been in the army, don't you think?" I said with a big smile on my face and we both nodded, making it clear we were ready to attack "I know how you handle it, Ale, and you can rest assured I'm not going to leave here. You can win like this."

"And who tells you we can't do it at this very moment standing there?" Megan asked next to me, practically laughing, but it was true, we just had to find a way they wouldn't notice. Maybe me or Megan covering each other's backs as one went to where they were hiding. "You have no way to get to us, it's three against two."

"Alison, why don't you come with me and your mother?" Megan asked looking over to her side of the bush. "Because we're going to win." She assured and we both denied. It seemed they had convinced her they would win "What has the devil of your uncle and father promised you?"

"Dad nothing, uncle told me he would give me whatever I wanted." She said and we both looked at each other, rolling our eyes, "We doubled that down." Said Megan trying to get Alison on our side "You're not going to get the girl; I'll give her everything she wants."

"We have something to offer her you cannot." Megan said, and I turned to her, because I have no idea what she could be referring to. "There's nothing I can't offer her."

"Alison, if you come with us mommy will give you a little sibling." The moment those words are out of Megan's mouth, I smack her. I don't know where the fuck that just came from, but I'm not liking where the idea is going. To top it all off, I could see the glint in Alison's eye, which confirmed to me if she wanted a brother, which makes me even more upset with Megan.

"Why the fuck do you have to say that?" I asked annoyed she was playing with Alison's illusions like nothing "Because it's the only thing we can offer Alison without Diego being able to." She whispered looking at me "And that's why you must promise her a sibling? You know Alison likes the idea and that's putting illusions in her head, Megan."

"What? Nothing else came to me. Besides, it's not like you and Hugo don't…" I denied, because only she would think Hugo and I had had sex. "We didn't do anything." I said annoyed and through my teeth "Nothing at all?" she asked surprised, and again I denied. "Are you so surprised we haven't come to that?"

"Well, a little to be honest." She said with a shrug, "After all we had to go through, do you think having a boyfriend would make me go straight to that?" I asked not believing she believed it "I didn't think so, I'm sorry" she apologized and even though I know she regretted saying it, my annoyance and my daughter's broken illusion would not go away so easily.

"Alison, it's time to go to sleep." I said getting up from the ground "You can't take the girl now we were going to win." The moment both Diego's and Hugo's heads appear from behind the bush, I shoot them, thus ending the game, while also shooting Megan for saying such a thing. I know from the faces they had, they noticed my sudden change in mood, and it doesn't take long for Alison to come to my side. She put the toy gun down on the floor, and I take Alison to her room to sleep.

"Mommy, are you going to give me a little sibling?" she asked with the sparkle that always excited something in her eyes "I don't know Alison." I sighed "Why?" she asked curiously "Because it's complicated." I tried to convince her, but knowing how curious she was, I knew I wasn't going to convince her so easily.

"Doesn't it happen when two people love each other?" she asked with a frown. "Most of the time, yes." I said, because that's how it was a lot of the time, "So if you love daddy, why is it complicated?" she asked trying to understand it "I'll tell you when you're older." I said with a small smile on my face "But I'm already big." She said pouting "I need you to be even bigger."

"Okay, but you'll tell me." She said seriously, and I nodded even though it was too likely I would never tell her "Don't worry about it now and go to sleep since it's already late." I said picking her up to put her in bed "Okay, but can we play again tomorrow again? But this time I want to go on your team."

"We will play when you want, and you will go in the team you want. Now close your eyes and go to sleep." With that, she closed her eyes and after a few minutes she fell asleep. I moved the teddy bear closer to her, covered her well and gave her a kiss on the forehead and it's just at that moment, the door to Alison's room opens, letting me see Hugo leaning against the door frame.

"Are you still angry or not anymore?" he asked, and I denied, because I wasn't angry. "I wasn't angry, at least what I think of as being angry." I said with a shrug, "So what was before?" he asked tilting his head. "It bothered me."

"Why?" I sighed and got up from the bed to leave Alison's room. If there was one thing I didn't want, it was to discuss this in Alison's room. Hugo stretched out his hand in my direction and I took it delighted. We went to our room and sat on the bed, he waits for my answer, and I think about how to tell him "Because she thinks because we're a couple we've done it… you know what I mean, and she doesn't believe it. What's more, if I stop to think, I know there will come a time when you send me to hell because we didn't and…"

"Eh, eh, eh… You shouldn't worry because we haven't had sex, and of course I'm not going to leave you for not having sex, I love you for being the way you are, not for having sex. I will wait all necessary for you, love." He said with my face in his hands "But I don't know when, Hugo, that's the problem." I said trying to hold back the tears "I don't want you to get overwhelmed with that, there's no point in doing it. We'll do it the moment you're ready, and I swear I wouldn't even think of cheating on you if that's what you're worried about."

"It hadn't even crossed my mind." I said, because it was true, at no time had the possibility of him cheating on me crossed my mind. "Well, if it hasn't crossed your mind, I'm more than sure your sister mind has." He said and I nodded, because it was likely, especially now she knew we hadn't had sex.

"I don't even know how you are my boyfriend." I said leaving my head on his shoulder "Well, because I love you, and how was I going to say no to the most beautiful woman in this world? I would be stupid if I did." He assured me "You wouldn't be, you could have any woman you wanted instead of me."

"But me and my heart love you. That will never change." He said and I knew he was serious, "Well, you'd better, because as long as you do even the slightest harm to my sister and niece, you'll realize it's not good to anger a D'angelo." Megan said from the doorway. "Do you have to be bothering again?"

"I'm sorry, but I wanted to kiss my niece good night and since I didn't see you with her, I came looking for you so you can show me what will help me understand what happened this afternoon." Megan said with a shrug, "Go find Diego." I snapped, "What do we need him for?" she asked, straightening up. "Because he's the only one who knows where he is, and we're leaving now, because I'm dead tired."

"We can go another day if it's nothing important." Megan said with some concern on her face "The thing is, it is, so we're leaving now." I got up to get my jacket and my gun. I wanted to know today why that guy was following us, and I wasn't going to rest until he told me, even if it meant I had to torture him, which was my least favourite thing, but let it all be for the good of my family.

During the way, everything was silent. Hugo was stroking the back of my hand to calm me down, but by the time we got to the spot, I got out of the car and got inside. Luckily for me there was only one door, so I went inside and quickly approached the guy.

"Now, you better tell me why the fuck you were following me and my boyfriend before I kill you. And I assure you I will not leave here until you tell me the fucking truth." I said angrily "You have the character of one Skolov, of that there's no doubt." As soon as those words were out of his mouth, I punched him "I'm not a Skolov, I'm D'angelo." I assured him, because my father may be, but I was a D'angelo and nothing would change that.

"It might be they were the ones who got you out of there, but you can't deny your roots." He said and this time I hit him with the butt of the gun, took off the safety and pointed it straight at his head, I wasn't going to let him say that, because it might be true, but to me I didn't belong in that family.

"Either you tell me right away what you want from me and why you were following us, or I'll kill you, it's up to you." I said pointing at him "I was following you because Dimitri told me I could help you find Stefan." I denied, because I didn't need him to find Stefan "I can do it on my own."

"But you don't have the resources to take his mafia down, let alone him." I denied, because he didn't have the slightest idea of what I had or didn't have, and if I had anything left over, it was resources, I just had to finish putting together the plan well and everything would be ready "Trust me, if what I have something, are resources."

"Okay, you have plenty, but you have no idea where to find him." He said and I shrugged "I know something that will get him out of wherever he is. As you can see, I don't need your help at all" I said "You seem to forget all the gangsters who knew you and your sister have shielded themselves. They think there's someone on the loose who is killing the heads of the mafias."

I denied, because it was stupid to think that, and I didn't give a shit about the rest of the gangsters, I'm only interested in Stefan "That's the stupidest thing you can come up with." I said rolling my eyes and crossing my arms with the gun still in hand "It is, but they have families to protect."

"I don't care exactly; I just want Stefan." I assured him "I can help you, after all, we are family. You are my niece, and we appreciate you." I denied, because that was the stupidest thing he could say "Like I was appreciated by my other uncle and my so-called father? I don't want to have anything to do with the Skolov family, thank you."

"My parents are dying to meet you, and their great-granddaughter too." I sighed so as not to hit him again, if there was one thing clear to me, it was I don't want my daughter near those people "And who can assure me you're not the same as the other two? Because if something is clear to me, it's it came from somewhere." I said ironically "I don't know where, but I assure you we're not the same as them. What's more, ask Megan about me, she knows I'm good."

"What does my sister have to do with all this?" I asked irritably "She knows me." Just when I was going to hit that guy again, someone grabs my arm, preventing me from hitting him, and as I turn to see who it was, I see Megan.

"Don't do anything to him Ale... please." She asked and I turned surprised she was asking me such a thing "Do you know him?" I asked with a frown. "It's the guy I told you about on the boat." She said in a whisper and without taking her eyes off the guy, "Are you going to tell me the man you told me about was a Skolov and you didn't know it?"

"His name is Carlos, it's not what you think." She said trying to convince me, but that was the only proof I needed, the guy had lied to my sister "He told me so himself, Megan. His name is Nikolai, not Carlos as you say."

"Megan... everything has an explanation... I swear..." said the guy looking at my sister "What explanation can there be you lied to my sister, stupid? It doesn't have any." I said approaching him again to hit him "Ale... surely he has it..."

"You're not going to believe him, are you?" I asked turning around to see if what she was saying was true. "What else can I do? He's the only guy who didn't constantly rape me, I want to hear it."

"HE WAS FOLLOWING MEGAN!!!! THAT REALLY DOESN'T MAKE YOU SUSPICIOUS." I yelled angrily she would believe this guy's nonsense "I wasn't following you, I wanted to find the right time to talk to you..."

"And that moment when it was when I got home, and you could call your brother to tell him where the fuck we are?" I asked irritated and full of anger "Ale, please... Let me hear him." Megan begged. "I'm not going to let him brainwash you." I assured her "Honey, I think you should let them talk. Right now, you're upset."

"How not to be. I don't intend to move from here. If you want to talk to her, talk to me in front." I said crossing my arms, "We'd better go get some fresh air while they talk." And with that, Hugo didn't even give me the opportunity to protest, because he took me in his arms, Diego took out my weapon and took me out of there inside

"Hugo, let me go." I said angrily "Sorry, but I really believe the man." I took a breath of air without believing Hugo believed him too. Couldn't they see the Skolov was a liar? "I cannot believe it. Are you really going to believe the person who was following us? It's a Skolov, Hugo!!!!"

"I know, but something tells me we should believe him." He said trying to calm me down, but there was nothing going to calm me down at this precise moment "I can't believe it... Why can't anyone see him being a Skolov can be dangerous?" I asked "Love, I know what you had to go through because of the Sokolov's, but we must give him a vote of confidence."

"I will never give it to a Skolov, that can be more than clear." And with that, I left. I couldn't be in this place anymore, let alone with someone. I can't understand why they don't see it, but if there's one thing that's more than clear to me, it's I won't risk my daughter's life because of them, so I went home to make sure she was okay and hoping they would leave me alone.
