The Destined Weapon (2)

There might have been some people who didn't understand what Instructor meant, but Leona understood and that's why her face was completely pale. What Instructor was talking about was muscle balance.

Percha Island Online was not a fantasy based game where a little boy would be able to lift an ax weighing tens of kilos. Percha Island Online is a game that is closely in touch with reality so it is almost limited by the laws of physics.

This was a situation where the game could be loved for how realistic it was or hated for its lack of fantasy.

The body of an idol was not weak, some of them have more muscle mass than other sports athletes. However, their muscles are not suited for fighting but for performing dances or acrobatic movements that are impossible for normal humans to do.

Therefore, most of their muscle function is more concerned with flexibility so that they can perform proper dance movements. So it's only natural that an idol isn't able to lift heavy weights or have enough balance to swing a sword.

Leona's body was made by Hendra based on his image of an idol. So subconsciously he also designed Leona's muscle balance to be able to move like that of an idol. It was because of this that Leona could easily dodge the Chicken Basilisk's rain of attacks or easily run out of the crowd of players.

There's a reason why medieval weapons mostly had a long range and were heavy. It was because they aimed to penetrate the armor of their enemies or to keep the enemy from getting close.

In an actual war, both sides would shoot each other and hide behind their shields. And Brawls almost never happen and if it does happen, it is chaos where the soldiers will not be able to tell between friend and foe.

So usually the soldiers will not be trained on how to swing a sword but will be trained on how to pierce their spears and make a line formation.

So it was natural for the Instructor to assume that those who couldn't lift their spears wouldn't be able to fight. And their aspirations to rise to the title were just wishful thinking, even for ordinary humans even if they train for decades they will never reach the Master title. But actually, this was only her limited view due to years of being confined in a stone statue. She didn't know what was really going on in her current world and she didn't know the existence of Weapon Affinity Exp.

"Someone" should have warned her of this, and that was the person who sent her a text message that appeared her eyes. But that "someone" wanted to teach this arrogant "NPC" a little lesson. She also wanted to see face slapping on Percha Island Online. Currently, she was just waiting for the MC to find her strength.

Leona's pale face turned furious, she really couldn't accept being called useless by someone much prettier than herself. Moreover, the idea that Hendra would buy a new ID to replace her really made her anger explode.

"I will show you that I can be stronger too! You... you... eeh... you idiot!" Leona didn't know what to say to convey her anger.

{You need to learn how to curse, why didn't you just say 'I will mold your fake tits' or 'Your lower mouth is wider than your upper mouth'. I guarantee she will kill you immediately}

Fortunately, The Instructor ignored Leona. To her, a dragon would not take a little cat seriously, moreover, Leona's outburst of anger sounded more like a meow to the ears of her listeners.

Feeling herself being ignored, Leona stomped the ground and went back into the armory with a heart full of irritation. Rou, who wanted to smile and pat Leona's angry head, restrained himself with all his might. He followed Leona and racked his brains on how to please his idol.

Leona paid no attention to Rou behind her. Her cute wrinkled face and pouting pink lips made the players who passed her stop for a moment to enjoy this rare sight.

Leona tried one by one all the types of weapons in the armory. Starting from the heaviest to the lightest. But every time she tried it the more she understood how difficult it was to play this game and how broken her character's body is.

[Bone Club (Tin)

Type: Medium Range-Heavy Weapon

Description: Made of animal bones which are quite hard but their old age makes these bones weathered and will easily break if it collides with other hard objects.

Weapon Damage: 50-100

Weapon Durability: 60/60

Weight: 20 Kg/ 44 lbs

*Reminder: Should not be used to hit armor or rocks.]

With difficulty Leona managed to lift it, she tried to swing it but what happened instead was her body being carried away by the club before her face hit the floor hard.

"Leona!" Rou immediately ran to help her but before he arrived Leona had already gotten up and walked to another weapon rack.

[Wooden Spear (Tin)

Type: Medium Range-Medium Weapon....]

Leona easily lifted the Wooden Spear, she tried a few stab moves, and even though her front legs took a heavy load and it would tire if she fought for a long time she still managed to do the basic moves. Leona smiled as she seemed to find her weapon.

Next, she tried to swing the spear but what happened next was terrible. Her body was carried away by the swing of the spear and she was sent spinning which made her head dizzy before her face hit the floor again.

Rou once again wanted to help Leona but she was once again standing before he came. Leona didn't give up as she went back to another weapon rack and tried all kinds of weapons.

[Nail Mace], she went spinning after she swung the mace.

[Wooden Kukri], Leona almost cut off her own hand.

[Normal Sword], she was able to swing it but her hands were so tired that the sword fell to the floor.

After trying various weapons, Leona found out that her Moving Speed status always drops drastically when she uses Heavy Weapons, and it drops by one digit when she uses Medium Weapons. From here Leona understood that her body would not be able to use Heavy or Medium Weapons.

After going through almost all the shelves in the armory, Leona knew that there were two classifications of weapons, classification by weapon weight and classification by weapon attack range.

Classification of weapons based on weight starting from the heaviest was; Heavy – Medium – Light.

While the classification of weapons based on their attack range starting from the farthest was; Long – Medium – Short – Non-range

Leona could only accept her situation as she walked towards the Light Weapons rack. There Leona found many weapons that she could use easily but most of them had Short Range or were Non- Range Weapons.

Although Leona could use it, these weapons were better used in very close ranged combat or used as a secret weapon to ambush the enemy. So for a DPS who usually plays as a warrior character like Leona she was reluctant to use it.

It wasn't that Leona couldn't be a scout or a thief but she was so conspicuous that her existence would be easily spotted by her enemies. For some reason, her whereabouts were always known so she decided not to sneak attack.

{Yeah! this pussy is too loud}

Leona didn't give up, she kept looking from one weapon rack to another. She knew that her fated weapon must be in this place. She didn't want to think of any other possibility other than making her character stronger and proving The Instructor wrong.

{Very vengeful cat huh! Did you forget your cat's bath?}

Until the moment she almost gave up, she seemed to hear a faint call from the corner of the armory. Leona turned towards the source of the sound and she saw a pile of weapons that were not placed on the shelf and were scattered like trash.

As if hypnotized Leona stepped into the pile of trash weapons. The call got louder and louder.

Leona saw that most of the weapons in this pile were dusty and rusty so it was impossible to use them again. Most of them had even lost their hilts or broken apart. But Leona kept walking.

When the sound was near her and she felt that she was close to it, Leona crouched down and pushed the rusty weapons that pile on it.

From behind the pile, Leona found a long knife that had a blade that resembled a snake or a dragon. The gold color covered the blade and it looked like there were carvings made of wax on it which creates a beautiful pattern that snakes along the blade of the knife. The handle was so beautiful and had carvings of the heads of creatures she didn't recognize. The handle was so small that it could only be grasped with one hand.

The knife was so thin that it was impossible to use it to slash an enemy. However, the sharp edge and the curved shape of the blade would facilitate penetration when stabbed into the enemy's body.

The knife was so light that Leona thought that this weapon was not made of iron but of wood. It looked more like a ceremonial weapon than a weapon for combat. Leona opened her virtual interface to see the information on the beautiful knife.

When she started reading the information, Leona's eyes widened and she was tongue she couldn't believe that a weapon had this kind of information.
