It was midnight. The light of the moon shines through the window, casting a silver hue on anything it comes in contact with.

Khaleel slowly opened his eyes to the dim light of the darkness filtering in through the window. As he shifted his sleeping position in the bed, he felt the weight of a heavy heart pressing down on him. His head was pounding in time with his heartbeat. He tried to shake off the feeling, but the sense of gloom lingered, making him feel as though a cloud had descended over him.

He could not sleep.
