Chapter 25: Degenerate Experts

Back in the guild mansion, two mysterious men appeared in front of Jeremiah and Charlemagne. One man stood beside a sofa and the other on the couch, this ebony man was a bulking giant standing a staggering 8-feet tall, he wore an open leather jacket that reveal his muscular body covered in abrasive cuts. In his arms were brass knuckles and the glow it emanated alone showed its top-tier quality. He was level 194, named Bull that exude a gigantic aura that made one shrink in fear. Yet despite being such a powerful expert, compared to the man sitting on the sofa, he couldn't even be measured.

Styling a taper-fade haircut, his appearance was rather vicious. He wore skinny pitch black armor that toned his ripped features and despite looking thin, the aura he emanated was like that of a venomous snake. His face had a huge cut that slid down his left eye revealing a white defective pupil and the other eye glowing in a crimson red hue. The lack of lips made his expressions feel very sinister. He's like that one antagonist that would make the cruelest of plans and end up giving the protagonist a whole character development due to the trauma the antagonist had given the mc. This man's level couldn't be seen and only his name was shown above his head, Reaper. That name was enough to explain what the man was.

"Care to explain what is happening Jeremiah?"

Reaper said in a low tone. The pressure both emanated made it hard to breath but Jeremiah remained composed as he explained what happened.

"We were trying to recruit the infamous rookie Alon but we met a slight predicament, to think that young man was able to defeat our main force with telekinesis and we suspect that he might have earned that as a reward from the mutant berserk boss monster. I'll send you the clip."

Jeremiah sent the clip of Harold and his goons one-sidedly beaten by Kaya. When both saw the clip, their eyebrows rise but they didn't show an expression of shock rather an eyebrow movement was enough of a hint of their surprise.

"So, have you recruited this kid yet?"

Reaper asked in a rather dissatisfied tone. It would be a pleasure to nurture such a young man and when he stared at the dark eyes of the kid, Reaper shivered as he knew those eyes had seen fucked up shit. The lukewarm feeling in his heart quickly boiled and beat rapidly, he was a serial killer in real life, and the fact that he could find another one like himself filled him with joy. His body felt shaken and he wanted to spar a few rounds to see who could stand a top as he wanted nothing more but to know more about him using their flesh and blood (Kinda gay bro).

"That's the problem, when we tried looking for him, we faced another predicament on our way. You must've heard of the name Vagabond already. That man was not only a sword expert, we suspect that he might also be in the same realm as guild leader."

Boom!

Hearing those words, Bull who was silent all the time punch the ground in the center immediately pushing both from the shockwaves of the impact. They could barely stand up but still forced themselves as Reaper who wasn't unbothered by this stopped Bull from any unnecessary fights.

"You know that speaking about the guild leader is considered taboo but you have the guts to tell me that this swordsman is on the same level as someone who has already walked the path of a Demi-god."

The surrounding air around them started to become ominous as both of them could hardly breathe from the suffocation. Jeremiah gritted his teeth as blood started pouring out of his mouth and spoke.

"I know...it...very well...but as I said...I'm not making up lies. He said....that...if we give him...something that could....pique his interest...he might join the guild..you can check him...out yourself....."

Seeing the courage of Jeremiah, Reaper concealed back his aura and both started panting heavily as they stood up wiping the blood on their mouths.

"You seem certain with your words, well then I won't tell guild leader about this matter, I'll task Bird bird to check this man out if what you truly speak of is the truth. Did you get any information about Vagabond?"

"Yes.."

Jeremiah sent another clip to Reaper which showed the moment where his hood had fallen off revealing his face and ID.

"Nuclear Fist, I haven't heard of this player before. To think such an expert had not been spotted by our radar, I truly underestimated the vastness of this game."

Reaper clicked his tongue as he sent the clip to Bird's inbox.

"I have another piece of information, this man named Vagabond is currently accompanied by a ranger named Roman. He's not an expert since he is only level 92 from what our Intel knows but if it is him, we might be able to find a way to locate Vagabond."

"Very well, as of now, Wind Rider Guild is officially disbanding. You too will be put on a hold and until one of the upper echelons tell you that you are free to do anything you want but for now, you'll be under strict maintenance. Bull assists them back to the guild. If the guild leader asks where I am going, tell him that I'm looking for my lover."

Bull simply nodded and pulled out a scroll. He ripped this scroll in half and a magic circle appeared below them. Jeremiah, Charlemagne, and Bull disappeared leaving Reaper who started touching himself as he watched the clip of Kaya killing the players in loop.

"Wait for me my love, I'm cumming! Auuughh!!"

He came to a handful of semen and licked the stuff that was in his hands. (Man's disgusting as fuck.)

-----------------

At the same time, Kaya was currently still grinding for monsters since he decided to stay and wait for Roman who went hurriedly to give the item quest back to his city. His name was still red and it would take a while before it could return to white and what else to waste the time by grinding and eating monster meat at the same time? He parried the monster's attack using only his right hand and ate grub on his left hand.

He wasn't even focused at all as he began to get surrounded by human size wasps after destroying their entire nest. Unlike normal wasps that would sting you with their long stinger, these wasps squirted out toxic substances with their stingers that shot out like a laser. Kaya despite being surrounded in every direction as the wasps numbered by thousands, dodged each one of these stingers with his footwork and acrobatics. He even used the meat in his hands to block one poison substance but decided to stop since it burned his mouth when he tried to eat it and made it hard for him to breathe.

For now, he stuck on the usual slow and steady absorption of Poison Element. A few hours later, Kaya managed to kill the wasp including the wasp queen, and started eating all of them after he finished eating the entire centipede meat on his inventory. He also collected their long needle-like stingers and pincers since they could be used as a weapon.

After eating all of the bugs in the area, he earned 1 more level, 62 Poison Elemental Points, 112 Status points: 34 Strength, 47 Agility, and 31 Intelligence. It was quite a bountiful harvest.

(Note: I made a mistake stating that Kaya has 50-ish Poison Elemental Points but after reviewing, he only has 40 points, I'll fix it later.)

[Poison Element: 102

+510 magic resistance

+100% Chance to inflict Poisoning effect for 2 second

+100% Chance of dealing with Bleeding effect for 2 second

+510 Poison-based magic damage

+204 Poison Resistance]

[It is now possible to transmute poison on a whim. You are immune to all poisons below Tier 4]

[Congratulations on reaching 100 points in the Poison Element! You have been rewarded]

[Botulinum Toxin- A poison so strong that it can immobilize a giant. One of the 10 deadly poisons in the world. Any tier 2 below opponents that are struck by even a drop of this poison could mean fatal if they don't have enough poison resistance to fight the substance. Conjuring the poison costs 5% of the player's Mana and 1% of the player's main health every second.]

'Holy shit.'

That was the only thing that Kaya could say about the skill. It was a broken skill that needed the value of percentage of his Mana and health which he felt understandable considering that its effect could instantly kill any tier 1 opponents with one small cut. He immediately tried to test the skill. A drop of dark essence appeared on his fingertip and he could already feel the drain of the skill's activation.

He rather felt dissatisfied after activating the skill, one drop was equal to 5% of his Mana and 1% of health. He thought it might only be reasonable considering how potent the poison was so he decided to disregard using it unless he needed it to kill a very powerful boss, for now, he was excited to see what kind of skill he'd get from the Elemental Orb.

Kaya was amazed by the skill he earned. Since it was a tireless spell, it could affect any tier with 100% effectivity. The magic damage was based purely on how much he, as the caster could deal which meant the damage could increase depending on his Poison Elemental Points. He was very satisfied with his gains but the Mana Cost bugged him a bit so he decided to put all of his free status points to Intelligence.

'Nice, I even earned a neat skill.'

Although disappointed knowing he only gained a runestone after his Agility reached 400 points, it compensated with the skill he earned from the intelligence reward. Overdose was a skill that made it possible for him to activate tier 2 skills without the fear of being backlashed and as a result, it was a godly skill that made it possible for him to contend against players with a higher tier on the same footing but even without the skill, he could still deal with any tier 3 players with relative ease. It was still a good trump card if he might contend with overbearing opponents in the future, at the very least if he couldn't defeat them, he might be able to escape with his life.

---------------

In the Tear Creek near the Black Wing Empire, a female player could be seen fighting against numerous harpies all at once. One Harpy was at the very least level 195 but their attacks made it look like a joke in front of the female who spun like a tornado with her daggers. Spinning like a cyclone, she managed to rip off their tendons causing them to scream in pain as they howled a deafening cry causing the entire area to crush around her and be demolished by the sonic boom. She, on the other hand, activated a skill that made her whole body phase through the attack, it was as if she was just a hologram but before the bird could stop its skill, she pierced its two eyes causing it to shriek in pain. He didn't stop as she stab its face until it dismembered its entire head immediately killing it. The other harpies flee in fear but a black aura spread around her that turned into ropes that started pulling the harpies back at her as she executed a beautiful blade dance lacerating their entire bodies and rendering their wings from being able to fly.

Without any legs nor wings to escape, they could only squeal on the ground as the female slowly killed them one by one and beheaded their heads in front of the harpies to watch. She grinned at the sight of the harpy's desperation, knowing that what happened to their flock would also happen to them.

This psychopath was a well-known dark player. A short pink hair in pigtails, a petite body yet a very curvacious figure wearing a silk fabric that was made into a tube. A fishnet clothing that made her abdomen to a see-through, dark pants that compliment her rather goth makeup. With black nails, black lipstick, and black eyeliner, she looked just like a gothic ceramic doll.

Her name was Bird, a level 190 Japanese player who is the number 12 in the two-handed weapon ranking and top 289 in the unified rankings. She was known as "Tomie", inspired by Junji Ito's horror manga, Whispering Woman due to how similar her nature and looks to the character, Tomie Kawakami. She was also nicknamed "The Mocking Jay" since when she kills you, the final words you spoke will be repeated by her as means to mock your farewell. She was one of the most ruthless female players in the game and although she had a rather unique personality, she had more fans than haters. Her fans are so loyal to her that out of the 30 million guild members of the Dark Carnival Guild, 5 million of these members are her loyal fans. Although she was the weakest of the core members, she was second to none in popularity.

[A new message has arrived]

"Oh! It's from Reaper! Does he want to ask for another favor? I do hope it's not another spooning."

Bird pondered as she clicked the message. In the message, she saw the clip of Kaya as Nuclear Fist fighting numerous people with a display of swordsmanship which ended when his hoodie fell off revealing his face and ID.

"So he wants me to test this guy huh? Oh well, I do love fighting new experts and it seems that this man has some tricks up his sleeve. I hope he entertains me~"

Bird licked the blade of her dagger and ripped a teleportation scroll to transport her to the nearest city. Upon arrival, she immediately changed her looks to a childish female. She configured her appearance, wearing a dress in a corset, changing her pink pigtails to brown short hair and make-up to a plainer look. She also changed her name to Willow and level by 90 and held a staff as if to show she was simply a beginner mage who just recently played the game. Many players started crowding on her as they were mesmerized by her adorable and innocent looks. When she saw this, she could only act up a smile.

'This is the most annoying part of being too cute, lowlives started swarming you like ants finding candy on the ground. Fucking piece of shits.'
