Chapter 30: Legendary Items

As soon as the blue salamander was killed, its body dispersed leaving piles of items that formed a small hill. Roman who had just killed the final salamander had his eyes widened in shock. This was the first time he had seen so many items personally and he immediately went to Kaya who currently was standing in front of the piles of items configuring his system interface.

"Hey Brother Alon, that was amazing- oh wow..."

When Roman saw the soft 5-inch penis, he was rather taken aback. That length was the maximum boner he could make yet Kaya effortlessly had that length in its soft state. He could only imagine how big it would be when it gets hard.

'I wish I had his genes goddammit.'

Roman could only click his tongue. Kaya meanwhile was checking his window interface and rewards. He had earned 8 more levels from defeating the Butane Salamander since the experience had been increased by almost twenty folds due to slaying it under berserk mode and also the fact that he soloed it so he gained 100% of the Salamander's experience. Roman on the other hand also gained 3 more levels and now he was finally level 101. He could accept a class upgrade to tier 2 which he was very exhilarated about. This was the fastest leveling speed he had ever experienced since usually, he'd have to grind a day's worth in real life just to earn 30% experience to his level. If this goes on, Roman might just become Kaya's loyal dog, following him wherever he goes.

He had stacked up so many levels and he decided to put all of the status points to Intelligence since the majority of his skills needed a huge amount of Mana and if he was going to reach tier 2, the Mana cost would increase, he was already satisfied with the level of his strength and agility and he didn't want to be overly powerful that he'd only be using brute Strength, he couldn't make use of his techniques if he did this and he wanted challenge than anything right now.

And it seems like I don't have to spend so many points on intelligence, let's just distribute 100 points in it and 4 points in Agility just to balance out my attributes, and let's save the other points for later.'

[Congratulations on reaching 500 points in Intelligence! You have been rewarded]

[Runestone has been obtained]

'Oh! Another amazing skill!'

Kaya was satisfied with his gains. Retribution was a skill that empowered his next basic attack which means that it only enhances non-skill attacks but having no cooldown meant that every time he activated a skill no matter how weak it is, Retribution would activate. Next was of course Blink, spatial travel was a lot more useful compared to the normal Flash since not only was it instantaneous, it didn't cost that much Mana to activate and it could be used infinitely as long as the player had Mana. Also, the fact that he could leap through space meant that even the highly sensitive opponents wouldn't know where he'd appear next since he'd vanish from this world not leaving a trace of his scent.

The skill Retribution and Blink were made for each other. Kaya wondered if the system had purposely done this since he could use Blink infinitely, each basic attack he'd throw at opponents would be deadly. Just thinking about appearing and disappearing anywhere while throwing heavy damage at his opponents thrilled him. He'd be an unstoppable force.

' I'd be a force to be reckoned with! (He said it! He said the fucking thing! *cries*)'

He immediately checked the miniature mountain of treasure in front of him. He checked any lower protective equipment to hide his bare ass and after checking every torso-type equipment, he found one that had him in awe.

'This is amazing!'

Kaya wanted to equip the item right away but since he didn't meet the requirements, he placed it back in his inventory. He decided to go for the next good item that he could equip but the effects of the item were subpar at best.

Kaya quickly equipped the item but didn't fret much about its skills. Ka-chow! Was great especially if he was ambushed, he could at least absorb any incoming damage at him. Shunpo was a 7/11 version of Blink and Wata! Was probably the only skill Kaya was satisfied with. Since he couldn't make use of so many skills and relied mainly on his basic attacks, this could be a good burst of damage when dealing against tough opponents especially those that are very nimble.

Now that he had a torso, he looked for body armor. He usually stayed away from weighted armors and prefer light protective equipment since it didn't constrict so much of his body movement. But when he saw the armor's description to what he found, he was rather dumbfounded.

'Fucking Amazing!'

Kaya was stunned after reading the equipment's description. This was the first time he had seen tierless equipment. Tierless equipment was considered the most powerful equipment there is not because of its overwhelming benefits, but because anybody could use them as long as they had the specific requirements needed. In this case, it needed a legendary or above class, and Kaya, who had the class Fighting Monarch was a Mythical Class, it was a grade higher than Legendary so he immediately equipped it. The attributes of the armor alone were of Legendary Class but the passive and active skills made the armor much more valuable. It was especially due to the causality damage. Causality damage was an invisible attack that you couldn't avoid nor defend. It was surefire damage that could only be resisted by one's defense of the type of damage and health. There were only a few recorded cases of causality damage being shown in public but most of it was confidential.

The scaly armor was as it had explained, it was light and comfortable plus it looked very well with the Dark Yoroi since its color was also of dark steel and exuded a dark aura that made it very menacing. He was very satisfied with it and immediately checked more of the piles of items. He was amazed to find a futuristic pistol in the crowd of medieval fantasy equipment and checked its description.

[Phoenix Blaster (2)

When Kaya read the pistol's information, he immediately knew who to give it to and it was no other than Roman who remained standing behind him simply watching the items not daring to touch one even though he was drooling at the sight. Kaya threw the pistol at Roman and he unconsciously caught the gun when he too saw the description, his eyes almost popped out of their sockets.

"This is for me? This is too much! Please take it back!"

This was the first time that Roman had held a Legendary item and he knew just how rare and valuable one is. Although his mind and body wanted the pistol so badly, he controlled his greed and tried to give the pistol back to Kaya but Kaya refused. Roman couldn't understand his intentions, is Kaya trying to take advantage of him? Is he trying to test his loyalty? He tried to give it back to Kaya again and again but Kaya simply shook his head as he sort the loots on the ground. There was 5 tier 2 unique weapons but he couldn't use them yet since he still had to obtain the tier 1 weapons he did earn 4 of them which were a bow, a whip, a dagger, and dual-blades in which he let the Fighting Monarch's Orb absorb them.

'I didn't even contribute much since he basically soloed the boss yet again, but he still refused to returning it. My guilt just can't accept this godly weapon since I didn't put in any effort on earning this. I'm already satisfied with him giving me free levels and equipment. What did I deserve to get this?'

Roman said to himself. He tried and insisted to give it back but Kaya would just say "No." Sighing, Kaya could only pull out a contract to stop the nagging Roman.

"Fine, I'll make a contract that you'll have to work for me for 3 months and must obey my orders for this Phoenix Blaster so can you stop nagging me? I still have a lot more to give you since I can't carry all this loot."

"Huh!? You want to give me more!? In that case, make it 2 years. I just feel guilty when accepting this equipment, it's like robbing you in broad daylight."

Kaya was rather taken aback. He only stated 3 months and would accept if he wanted it to be lower but he wanted it to be 2 years. That was a year of real-time corporate slavery to an employee who earns a minimum wage and works for 12 hours a day for seven days.

"Wai-..."

Before Kaya could reconsider his offer, Roman had modified the contract by 2 years and added a few more conditions and immediately signed it. After signing the contract, it disappeared to ashes binding Roman to Kaya and if he didn't obey any of his orders twice, his account would be deleted.

'Phew, now I don't feel burdened.'

Roman sighed in relief. The stress he had felt disappeared right away knowing he could give a proper value in return. It may sound like his movements would be restricted but rather, he'd find himself in a lot of adventures and find amazing surprises in the game as long as he sticks with Kaya.

'I can't wait to see what happens next in the future!'

Smiling, he immediately followed through with Kaya who told him to choose whatever equipment he needed before they traverse the lower floors.

'I need shoes.'

Kaya couldn't find any proper footwear from the items, the majority of them had been tier 2 equipments and although he gained some valuable materials, those materials were rather small, he couldn't mold them to weapons so when he looked around the area, he found hundreds of fire salamander corpse being spread around the ground.

' I should collect some materials first.'

Kaya asked Roman to sort out the piles of items while he on the other hand started chewing on the Fire salamander meat. When he bit through their scaly skin, the hot juices started overflowing his mouth.

'Oh wow! This tastes good!'

Kaya was surprised. Although some meat he tasted we're good, the majority of them had a tangy and bland aftertaste but the salamander meat was rather very juicy and soft, it meat tasted like marinated chicken, although not very many spices, he could still eat it every day without being sick by its flavor.

He ate the corpses, collected their cores, and obtained their bones. He found out that the only sturdy and highly affinitive part of their skeletal system was their spine, skull, and ribs so those were the only ones that Kaya collected, the big fire salamanders also made it possible for him to collect their tendons which he could use as darts or stakes.

(Note: Think of salamanders as scaly red Komodo dragons)

5 hours passed, and Kaya earned 27 Fire Elemental Points and 33 status attributes 12 Strength, 11 Agility, and 10 Intelligence. Now he had 69 points in the Fire Element (Nice).

Ting~

[Fire Element: 69

+345 Physical and Magical Damage

+69% Chance of burn Effect every 1 second

+345 Fire-based Damage

+138 Fire Resistance]

[It is now possible to transmute fire Element from the player's body with the cost of Mana in activation.]

"Let's go."

Kaya ripped the Floor-3 scroll and a magic portal appear below them. They transported to another terrain but right now, for the nether, it was rather dark.

Ting~

[Floor 3]

"Where are we?"

"We are in a terrain similar to the Death Valley. In this place, it's dark, scary, and looms with the smell of death all over the place. The monsters here are all undead-type, there will be skeletons, zombies, ghouls, hellhounds, ghosts, and dark magicians. Let's just hope not to meet a death knight, a vampire, or at worst, a lich."

As soon as Roman said Lich, tombstones started rising to the ground. There were at least thousands of these that spread around the area. Then the ground below them started to tremble, no, the entire area was in a state of tremor. Undead monsters started rising from the ground, as Roman had said, skeletons, zombies, ghouls, hellhounds, ghosts, and dark magicians rose from their tombs. Not just that, banshees, dark knights, vampires, half-bodied winged female ghouls, and liches.

"Did I speak too soon?"
