Chapter 37: Love Talk Gone Wrong

Perseus POV

Well, let's hope Leilah make a good impression, I'll just go away from the topic for now. Ruka then walked in with a tray of cookies.

"Oh, should I leave?" Ruka asked once she stumbled upon us sitting and seeing my parents' somewhat serious face.

My parents took a lot of time adjust from treating her like some sort of deity to actually treating someone more akin to their own child due to her childish nature such as being scared of thunder to not knowing how to do chores.

Unlike regular humans, she needs lesser sleep and lesser food to survive, well she can live without them, but she'll just be weakened , in the cave, she usually leave to hunt and roast the meat to survive before the villagers regularly bring her food every once in a while. Though if she decides to become a regular mortal like me through some secret ritual, she will start going through what we go through.

She then caught up with what we're talking about once my mom let her sit down. She kept the fact that Leilah is the jealous woman as a secret though, Leilah visit me every once in a while to catch up, Ruka also, though on a more friendly term much to her relief.

"Though if you 2 decide to marry each other, we will totally approve." Mom Rylee said

"We've already made that bet, we'll see."

"Anyway, Perseus, you can marry multiple women, men, and even if they're of the demon race, we will approve." mom Nyra chimed in "As long as they're a decent person and you treat them right."

"Why would I not treat anyone right?"

"Remember Maggie's fiancé?"

"Still can't believe she found someone..."

She has twins and once her kids reach a certain age, she will marry her current fiancé. She's really letting me know that I can't stop her from reaching happiness. She's lucky my parents are containing it, if they didn't hold me back and put their hands over my mouth, their marriage might have started on a rockier start or delayed even further.

She is constantly poking fun at me about it since she knows I can't say anything without receiving a good scolding, I'll just make sure her kids don't grow up to be optimists.

"That's only because we kept you away from breaking them up for fun." mom Rylee retorted

"Anywho, you gave him an identity crisis and he had to have 3 weeks of therapy." mom Nyra brought us back on topic "I do not want you to mess any chance of us seeing any grandchildren. We now have money from the hotel, investments and many other things, so make sure you look out for gold diggers."

"Trust me, I know when someone's lying, it's like instinct. You don't have to worry."

"What we're trying to say is keep your mouth shut if you can help it. We really want grandchildren."

Ouch. That hurts, I really was planning to someday murder people with words.

"Moms, I can see your intention, but I'm 15, barely. I don't really see the point of this. I mean, of course I want kids, but...do I really have to learn? I got my academy equivalency diploma at the age of 12, I'm already as smart as an adult."

Think of the academy as high school, usually for children age 14 or 15, they study about 4 years and graduate, though I didn't take the mage diploma since it's just for resumes to apply to work at high ranking places. I can work as a scholar or teacher though.

Science and math is really easy in this world, so I could have gotten it earlier.

"Yes, academically you're smart, but you're socially awkward." mom Nyra responded "There's a difference between being an introvert who prefers being alone to a social outcast."

Wait...am I getting...a taste of my own medicine?

"You have unrealistic standard for women." (Rylee)

I feel a sword of pain just being stabbed right into me.

"You have a personality similar to a rock." (Nyra)

"Talking to you is like talking to a stubborn wall." (Rylee)

"Your personality might be the biggest universal joke." (Nyra)

Woah!

"You're vain." (Nyra)

I start having this weird metallic taste of blood in my throat.

"Narcissistic even." Ruka joined in

Wow...this must be how people feel, it hurts. I'm vain...huh...

"Kid, you got our genes." Mom Nyra said "Where did you think you got all that sass from? We can insult you just as good, so be a good boy and listen."

She's usually the timid one out of the 2...I'm...vain...and have a personality that is described as the biggest universal joke, wow. I don't know whether to be offended or impressed at the creativity.

"Now, let's get back to the talk." Mom Rylee was the one who brought us back on topic this time but I don't think I even listened to the rest of the conversation.

*****

That night, it took me a while to sleep just pondering on what happened, Leilah then visited me in my dreams again.

"Alright, it should be time where you tell me where you are so I can go searching for you after this summoning thing."

"I look forward to seeing you." she replied as she rush at me and h*ld my h*nds.

Author, censor it, please.

"Simple, I'm on the moon." she said

"Huh?"

"My father was only a manifestation of the moon and since I'm very dangerous, he placed me where no one would think to search the moon itself."

"I do not have enough mana to fly up there and use magic to make a thin coating of air for me to breathe."

"Do not worry, my father placed a teleportation spell at..." she then described the location of where all of it is and how to activate the spell.

"Wow, are you weakened?"

"Of course." she nodded "That's why you better treat me a lot of food, but trust me...I'm much stronger than the white rose as of now."
