Chapter 122: I've Got Plenty
Perseus POV
"Are you sure that the demons won't interfere?" Edward asked as everyone geared up
"Yeah, remember the vault that no one can access? They just want 1/3 of anything that remain or got out of the temple once it's destroyed. They'd watch over since careless cooperation will just result in more losses."
"Fair enough. So why'd you bring the fox along?"
I then just gave him a look and let him think about it for a bit, with my raised eyebrow, he then remembered it as Reiner along with the 2 other siblings asked about it in the negotiation tent.
"Right, nothing from that forest is normal." he finally got it "Especially these tree people from the center."
The heroes have made a name for themselves due to their effort healing the wounded fighters, their abundance of mana healed quickly and their efforts in helping the evacuations nearby is being spread out.
Even as I geared up, I can tell the morale is up despite the appearances of some of the strongest demons, they have this thought that as long as the heroes are a part of the support team, they will never die from their injuries and they are also less scared of the demons since the heroes are tasked with fighting them in the future after all.
As for me, the only thing that is talked about is the fact that I befriended a demon general, and now some rumors surfaced that I might be collaborating with the demons behind the scene based on how close we looked, so most are more cautious of me than they already are.
Heroes got all the praise, while all I got are controversial rumors.
Anyway, the mecha is about 20m tall and he has this super cool ability of solar charging itself and shooting laser beams out out its palms and eyes, the beams are super quick, so if it's charging, keep moving and running, the laser itself is lightspeed and if its directed at you, its speed is faster than the speed of you casting a barrier, so one shot is enough to kill anyone careless, so just move faster than the speed of his head or hand directing where the shot goes, which with magic, isn't hard to do.
We all then stepped through the barrier and head for the mecha, Reiner armored up and the 3 roses then summon giant thorny vines, since I was told to do what I want anyway, I'm going to do just that.
Well, Lucifer, I'm gonna borrow your powers a bit and mix it with magic, this is going to be fun.

*Flashback*
Loki POV
"Pride is a big factor in my power, the more you have it, the stronger it is." Lucifer said as he showed me the syringe "I-"
"Why the fuck are you telling me all this all of a sudden? No, destroy it, won't they know that it's fucking in me or something."
"They won't, here's another secret of theirs that you don't know." he ignored my interruption "They already know how to copy the abilities, though it's only amongst a few of the yellow level at best, it's just the chance of success is very low due to imperfection. And I'm more than sure they've gotten less than 10, and they are no where close to mass producing it."
Shit, none of this is a lie, every word he's saying isn't false, but...
"But those experiments are different from us, our mutation don't just differ in quantity, but potency and fatality, if you're a red or any less, you're pretty much dead." he explained
"I'm red."
"No, your threat level is special as mine, you're one of the youngest black level threat in history." he responded "The only reason they put you in red is that you're still young and you can still be restrained, you'll live."
"Then what about the fact that they can detect it in me?"
"They won't, because they've done it to someone before. I overheard all this when the anesthesia wore off during one of my surgeries." he answered "They tried injecting lethal numbers of dosage into one super and they can't detect any of the changes, as for the one who did survive it initially, they awaken the power, they still can't detect it, it's something science can't see and resembles more of something supernatural."
"No, this is stupid."
"Do you know what Lucifer means?" he asked
"Light bringer."
"So as I've said, pride is a huge factor in my powers. I currently don't have a lot and I would barely be considered an apocalypse level threat, and I know that I might lead to the downfall of our escape, they will put posters of me, and when it comes down to it, even if they send an extinction class after me, I will lead them far away and give you time, so I'm gonna entrust you with this.
"I can generate light out of nothing and manipulate any light source at will, my sole weakness is that if I use it past a certain limit, I will start feeling feverish, but they've already tested my limit and I can't die by the fever. And that's not all...

*Present time*
3rd Person POV
<'Pride is a big factor in my power, the more you have it, the stronger it is.'> Perseus remembered the exact phrase
People expecting Perseus to just fight with his usual combination of the power of the roses mix with magic, but this this time is something more than what they've asked for, in a flash, he disappeared from the spot and a storm of black and blue petals erupted from the spot.
The storm of petals then blasted against the giant's chest and push him back once he broke out of the vines and then it turned its head upward to see Perseus falling from the sky heading straight towards it.
It shut up a blast of light to hit him out of the sky, but right at the moment it hit Perseus, he extended out his hand and the blast got swallowed whole as it got sucked into his balm like a black hole. A large 2 handed blade of white light was then quickly formed in his hands.
The giant sensed something amiss and got out of the way when the blade was swung, and 4 fingers of its left hand got cut off. it call crashed down on the sand when Perseus landed.
