Chapter 139: It's A Rock

Perseus POV

"Hahahaha." the chief laughed in my face "You seriously duel our strongest warrior for the rights of the fallen star?"

"Hey, I may propose the idea, but you're the one who said to fight your stronger warrior which I accepted, what time and place, I'll do it."

"Oh, you're not joking?"

Damn it, I came all the way here just to be treated as a joke, I can probably work my way up to being a so called half baked enchanter, but it seems that their last step have some secret to it that only an enchanter can tell. I can get it out of them, but it's probably one of those things where you can only learn by going through it and experiencing it instead of just being told the answer.

Anyway, this chief is fucking annoying, also a 9 star like chief Aminu, but he's much weaker. I came and request for the access for the lake and full possession of the fallen star which isn't really a star, and he said he'll let me have Buddy fight along me, so it's a no brainer to just humiliate the best guy.

"I mean you did just say I'm allowed to have Buddy fight along me, so I'll pretty much have very huge guarantee of success."

*Flashback*

Loki POV

"...we'd have a better chance of success this way." Lucifer proposed

"That does sound good." Alexis agreed

Lucifer's plan was to not go down the easy route, it's easier to expect us that way, instead of heading north, we'll take the more longer and harder way once we get to Australia, he suggested for us to go to where they expect the least, we'll take a flight towards the east, or northeast, towards Honolulu then San Francisco, and Dallas where we can then plan things further, but this is the safer plan for now.

No one would expect us to go to the states, it's very dangerous for us there. We can take another route that is a direct flight to the UK, but that route is the shortest and most secured, we'll have no chance of escaping capture once we land.

But there are currently arguments, and that's about the mode of transportation.

"Well sneaking in the airport undetected is easy with this team." Brie commented "But where will we stay on the plane? Since ships are not an option due to their security and larger personnel, I know commercial airplanes are big, but there's not a lot of places to hide when Luke runs out of juice, we can't disable cameras without people checking."

"Well there's the luggage compartment at the plane's belly." Lucifer suggested

"I don't know if you know this, but the plane to this island are specialized planes that has to be approved by their company to be able to come here." Brie replied "Their luggage compartment unlike other regular planes have 0 chance of survival, there's a difference between no chance of living and highly risky."

"You do realized that people like us are feared for our superior bodies, right? We got a good chance of living, we'll just have to deal with hearing loss and being super cramped as we're stuffed in individual luggage."

"Well, you have any better idea? Going on ships is like walking into a lion's mouth, they use actual x-rays and thermal vision to check everything on there every hour."

"Or..." Alexis butted in "We can go on a cruise ship, we don't have to be cramped and we don't have to think of everything like a spy movie, they have cruises that stop here every couple days and once they leave the port, we'll just have to stay 2 weeks on there and..."

She then threw a pamphlet down.

"There's one to Hawaii in 3 days." she gave off a smirk.

Perseus POV

The chief just laughed at my face and couldn't control his laughter, his assistant then came in and also laughed at me for the ridiculous proposal, challenging their best fighters with nothing but a fox.

Well I asked him the normal way and since he doesn't want to, I'll just do it my way, the hole thing is covered by a blanket and that means even with another light source inside, there should be shadows in there, I'll just shadow travel inside.

Once I went back and got with everyone else, I pulled them alone as we then shadow travel inside, the instant we got up, I can sense that there is no oxygen at all as I struggled to breathe, luckily it was a quick and simple spell to cast a thin layer of air around me.

They probably put on a large bonfire before they left as a prayer for their sickness to go away and it seems that it used up all the oxygen there are in this cloudy place, we can't see a lick here.

I just use magic to clear this whole mist and I can see the abandoned houses right ahead near a lake, I head towards that direction, I'm gonna try to find a way to degas this thing, degassing a lake should take up a lot of resources, if this village want to just continue live the way they are, they can go right ahead.

But there's no doubt in my mind that they'll try to reclaim this whole thing after a while, it'll be easier to just go ahead and move out to a better spot. I got to the lake and scooped up the water into a small vial before shutting it with a plug, didn't take long for it to give a large pop.

I was right about this excessive carbon dioxide thing, I used magic to paved a pathway to the smoldering piece of rocker in the middle of the bottom of the lake, it's very straining to do this with a giant lake, but it's good to train my magic every once in a while.

"It's just a piece of boulder." Ruka commented

"It's not just a boulder, it's a rock. The pioneers used to ride these for miles."

"Seriously, you 2 are attracted to this?" she then turned to her sisters

The 'fallen star' is the size of about 15 times the size of an average duffel bag and is grayish blue in color. But something strange happened as soon as I touched the piece. I felt a pang of fatigue and my eyes started to slowly close as I fall asleep the next second.

"Strange, I can sense Lilith's mark on you." a female voice said
