|For those wondering why my updates are slowed down, I'm a college student, but not any ordinary college student, I took 2 majors and I have a part time job, this novel is made for me to like release my stress cuz I'm just that busy and sleep deprived.|

3rd Person POV

At a church in the eastern continent, there's is an old man in a red priestly robe whose back is turned to a knight in white colored armor with yellow lining and on it have one crest that is a tulip representing the spring season. The old man in the red priestly robe is a cardinal of the religion and he is currently scribbling something onto the book that is on the altar.

"We finally eliminated the impure teacher and replaced it with one of our own. Good." the old man said "It wasn't hard to come up with a lot of reason to replace them with one of our own who's on the same level in teaching ability, it is especially tempting when we come with a cheaper price."

"Hero Sarah and a good portion of the heroes have shown their disapproval of the decision." the knight responded "It seems that he was truly an ideal teacher."

"Ideal or not, would you want a monster to teach our saviors? Or would you rather have a fellow human?"

"A human, lord." the knight answered "It may be presumptuous of me to ask and I apologize, but how is the next saint coming along?"

"No need to apologize." the cardinal chuckled "He is coming along nicely, he is going to be the strongest saint in history, our influence will rise greatly since the demon lord is erased, just because our god is weak, does not mean our saint can't be, though you shouldn't call him saint yet, he hasn't even earned the title of pope.

"Anyway, I heard that the chief of that tree village announcing officially that the boy is attending the tournament next year, am I right?" the cardinal asked

"Yes, lord." the knight quickly answered "Sarah of the heroes seems interested as well, but the boy is now being taught by the chief himself and the previous teacher of the heroes, it seems that he's a top 8 favorite, the Zoris royals seems to be interested in entering the adopted demon from the same village as well."

"Hmm, that is not good." the old man's face turned serious "We might need to 'influence' the agents through right means to keep unwanted pest away."

"We can for Perseus, but not one representing the royal family, lord." the knight replied

"That's fine, we need to limit that village as best we can." the cardinal then closed his book and turned to face the knight "You join in as well, Tehios is a neutral territory of both demons and us righteous ones, Perseus will get in despite us making it harder, so you join in as well and eliminate him early, I'll arrange it so that he'll meet you first if he makes it to the main tournament."

Maple is currently resting a reading a newspaper offered to her by her followers, she's catching up with what people on her continent are doing before she then hear a prayer from a familiar person.

"Hey." Perseus greeted

"What do you need?" she asked as her voice is heard privately by Perseus

"Just saying hi."

"You only call me if you need something, so fess up before I shut this down."

"Lilith's here, you can come hang out since she's going to leave in a couple of days, I'm going to train with my grandparents and the chief."

Perseus POV

Grandpa Wager found out that grandpa Laker was training me and joined in, but his job is the medic while grandpa Lake take that assistant role while the chief is sharpening his spear.

Use wooden weapons, I don't wanna die, you're a 9 star from this stupid village whose level are 1 star higher than anyone else, so that's like fighting a 10 star guy, I can't do that, I'll die, shouldn't he be 'if you haven't even mastered a wooden toy, how are you supposed a real weapon?', all mentor figure does this, why is he the only psycho?!

Currently, we're at a beach far away from the village since training on the sand helps with agility and stability due to the uneven grounds, it's also far away, like dozens of km away from the village so he won't harm the surroundings, so why can't we just train in the nearby openings?! This guy plans to kill me, I can see it in his smile and the red murderous glint in his eyes.

"By the way, do you know his nickname when he was in his prime?" grandpa Wager asked

"No, why?"

"Well, when I was a rookie under his care, they called him the beast hunter, once he set his sight on something, it means he'll pursue his prey till it's down."

"Don't hunters get tired?"

"Hey Laker, he just asked if the chief gets tired." he called grandpa Laker who then laughed at the motion before he himself also join in forgetting their rivalry as a whole.

So the guy who taught the hero, the therapist who's also doubling as my medic is laughing while I gulped in fear...man, just after you think getting strangled, tortured, having your bone crushed several time in the span of a few days is bad, I might day in training.

"Oh kid, you're so dead." Grandpa Laker said as he backed away once he saw the chief was ready

3rd Person POV

The 4 sisters were enjoying their time in the Silver household, Vincent is at school and Nyra and Rylee are out checking on their family business, so they had the house for themselves. And as Leilah is look at the direction of the sea from the window while Ruka is shuffling cards, the ground shook as she saw a white slash splitting the sea in 2.

"Must be the chief." Lilith commented "The previous demon lord tried recruiting him with an immediate position as the youngest general before since usually only those above 60 or 70 make the cut, your boyfriend might regret joining the tournament."
