Chapter 236: I Don't Care How Long It Takes

*Flashback*

Loki POV

"Make the illusion reach the red line." someone shouted over the speaker

Currently, I'm placed in this large circular training room, I can barely see the walls as I was at the center, and in the room, they drew many lines across the room and they are forcing me to project my illusions across the room and reach the red line, which is almost at the wall itself, from where I'm standing, the walls are no less than 100m in radius.

The scientists have been forcing me over and over to project cities and skyscrapers and other forms of illusions across the room over and over, if I were to disobey them, they would activate the shock collar around my neck, and the pain has intensified.

Most of the things they do to me are more intense than before, even though they are careful to make sure I don't die, their methods have been more ruthless than ever, and for a while, they have given up on getting information from me as I just don't speak a word, but it probably also means that the person who has escaped their clutches have died or managed to be seen in a safe zone.

And just in case it was the latter, I made sure to make them stop asking me for information because it won't take long before they can concoct some serum that can get me to obey their every whim by revealing some of my abilities that I have not shown to them.

I don't know how I survived that wave of flying debris, it's no wonder one of the 2 girls died on their way out, I'm unlucky to have survived because if one didn't escape, I'm just stuck here until they succeed and slaughter me once I am no longer of use.

I'm tired, I can barely stay awake, and I don't think I can cast any illusions anymore, but they just shocked me by the neck again, so I just have to force myself to do it, and it barely touched the red line.

3rd Person POV

"Success!" Keith cheered alongside his coworkers "He can cast illusions many times in a small time period and despite being tired, he managed to create one that is detailed and large, he can now be properly evaluated as an apocalypse class."

In the room weren't just the scientists, but the bidders came along as well, and they came to now see the progress this organization has done with their product.

"His illusions are tested to feel solid, correct?" one of the bidders asked

"Yes sir." Keith answered "If Loki were to cast a metal wall, you can touch it and do everything to it, you wouldn't be able to tell a difference, he can invade your mind and kill you by making you see horrible things in a dream-like atmosphere, we tested it on several convicts to confirm, he has many abilities hidden that is only being tested even further to see his limits.

"He is a classified weapon, if we can copy his mutation, you should have some of the best super soldiers in the world who can kill your opponents by destroying them mentally." he explained "Supers like him are rare, he is physically enhanced, and he now possess to beat anyone just by looking into their eyes, and as you know, if we were to hear him carelessly, he can have us all kill ourselves without any hesitation."

Most of Keith's seniors were killed, the rest paralyzed or not in any condition to work, so he is quickly promoted to take charge while being supplied by scientists from other departments to help him out. And it won't be long till he will be permanently assigned to the position of the head of this particular project as he showed his ability to quickly adapt to the situations given to him.

Brianna was the survivor coming out of Typhon's attack, while escaping after seeing her other group members being surrounded, she was hit by a large unexpected dust storm, Alexis, her long-time friend ever since she was brought into the project, was hit by a flying piece of hard concrete that blew her head away from her body.

It all happened so fast that she didn't even have time to grieve, Brianna herself was sucked into the storm and was blown off the grown and she landed many miles away and woke up to only realize she can no longer move one of her legs. She then struggled and managed to escape from sight, the only thought in her mind was the escape the States and get to her destination.

After many struggles and weeks, she arrived at her destination and surrendered herself to the authorities. Brianna is being cared for in the military hospital, she is cuffed to the medical bed but the only thing dominating her mind at the moment was the thought of her lost allies and her missing right leg that had to be removed due to infection.

Currently, she is waiting for a translator whom she plans on asking to meet with the human rights council, though she won't be given the right to do it right away, she's glad that she's safe for now, all she got left is to do whatever she can to save the rest of the people in that project.

The dust storm and Typhon's attack are now being played off as some sort of natural disaster, but it won't be for long, she brought along a lot of incriminating documents that are now with the authorities who are probably reading them while she is captive.

"Luke and Lucifer are probably dead..." she mumbled as her eyes watered "Alex couldn't survive, and those 2 who were so close to that monster...I'll save the others, I'll make sure to do it in their name, I don't care how long it takes or if I have to exchange my life for it, I'll make it happen."
