Chapter 260: Mothers (7)

Perseus POV

"I'm setting out with you, I don't want to do this boring stuff." Ruka said as we were about to leave

"Maple can extend our connection, you don't have to worry too much about me going out of range."

The moon in this world is just a tad bit bigger than the one in my previous world. If it was the one in my previous world, I don't really have to really worry about going out of range and having one side forcefully teleport to the other.

The house got a lot more mechanics and secret that is hidden, my future self just said so and didn't give any other clue. We also don't really have to worry about destroying things either, the house got protective enchantments, but even then, there's a limit to it.

Leilah and Maple are strong enough to surpass that while Leilah and Ruka will take a while, but they'll eventually get past that and can destroy parts of the house. It's reassuring that the house got protective enchantments, but there's definitely a reason for that, and the more protected part is probably the secret.

And when I say that Ruka and Leilah can break past it, that means that the dragon can too, it's why I have the goddess stay behind. You know, just in case.

"Look, I'll hold the orb for you guys." Ruka offered and took it out of my hand.

The orb was slightly smaller than a volleyball, I can hold it with one hand, but Ruka had to hold it with both of hers.

"It's charged with maple's magic for the armor protecting your body, right? So instead of just recharging it with your mana or the fox's, use mine, I got just as much in my bank." she offered, "And if need be, as you know, I can fight without using my arms, the power of the rose only requires them being controlled using our minds."

"Ok, sure, I don't any of us have any problem with it."

Well with her along, I think we can go a bit over a 2 days trip. I turned to the others who looked like they didn't disagree with her wanting to come along, I bid the others farewell and we set off.

I had the smiths who created the magic pistols create us some custom sunglasses using some of the asteroid blessed by the sun goddess, shaped them as shield sunglasses, and I then brought them to Zach who brought them back to the village, had them enchanted to block against sunlight and darkened the glasses so much that it's to the point that it will be similar to wearing a blindfold.

It's not THAT dark, but you know, I was trying to describe it as best I can.

I then had the goddesses amplified their protective enchantments even stronger, it was to protect our eyes, I then gave it to everyone including Ruka. Ruka doesn't necessarily need them, she can already walk in space without any magic to protect her, but just in case, you never know, we might find some monster who can use the sunlight and blind the group.

We set off and the moon before me looked grey and lifeless, stretched out before me is its dusty landscape filled with craters and vast grey plains. It was a stark contrast to the vibrant Earth and whatever my current home is called. From here, the moon seemed like a lonely outpost in the vastness of space, a reminder of the boundless mysteries that lay beyond our reach.

Man, I hope that there are some aliens on the dark side of the moon, I live in 2 worlds and the closest ones to aliens are the gods...does that mean I'm sleeping with and dating an alien...?

"Our home planet just looks...wonderful." Terrence commented as he looked onto space

"Don't take off your glasses."

"I wish I can see its color fully, but for now, this will do."

It's only slightly darker than it should be, but it's not like we have a camera with us, I'll go steal some high-quality ones from NASA or something. I'll take some pictures, print em out and sell em for lots of money.

And now that I think about it since we destroyed that corpse that was on the stairs right before the alter transformed into the house, I can claim that I am now the first person from this planet to walk on the moon and be in space.

And even if you factor in that person, I can be the first demon or first half-demon to do so.

Back to our adventure, after a long while, we walked to the other side of the moon, and since it was now facing away from the sun, it was super dark, so I activated a feature of the sunglasses that turn them into regular glasses, simple really, just tap the side with a tiny bit of magic.

The orb is then used as our light since it lights up when it's fully charged. I walked a while and sure enough, we saw another house, bigger but hidden and can't be seen from afar due to it being located at the bottom of the crater.

It's some sort of large Victorian-style house, and this one is probably their second home when the gods are born, Ruka recognized it and we then head to it as well, we got inside the home, and again, no bathrooms, got furniture and all of that, but a strange thing is that there are no books.

Not a single one, everything was normal apart from the missing, books, so the bookshelves are just completely empty, and unlike the other house, this one got sort of a weird vibe to it, I have this weird spidey-sense going on.

I then noticed that there are no illuminations devices, lanterns, or anything to light this up anywhere.

"Hello?" a voice asked out of nowhere coming from deep inside the house.

"Mom/Dawn?" Ruka and I exclaimed at the same time.
