Chapter 275: It's Time (2)

Perseus POV

One of the abilities I got from using the moon as an artifact is that Jerah made the moon have the ability to convert sunlight into mana, it's how Leilah got much stronger while Alban hasn't. The moon of this world or dimension gained that ability because Jerah made it so, the motherfucker was just that much of a genius if he puts his mind to it.

Every time she used her mana, it gets replaced by stronger and purer mana that is converted from sunlight, and at some point, her body evolved to contain that kind of mana better.

And as for me, it was similar, the mana in my body got drained and immediately replaced with better quality mana and causing me to not just level up into an 8-star immediately, but also granted to tap into the mana the moon stored as if it's some sort of mana bank.

It also helped me greatly since having a lot of access to mana and having a large mana capacity is essential for the 11-star level that Trevor theorized, I mean obviously, you need a lot of mana, but no one can have access to that naturally, so in one of his pages of information on how to increase mana from birth, he suggested that even if we accomplished everything he instructed, it will still not be enough.

And I assumed that those methods plus the abilities of the demon lord passing their powers from one to another made it possible, but it isn't since it's now revealed that it's more of only 10 and a half. So as Trevor theorized, you're going to need to have to do it through other artificial means.

It's kinda scary in a way because most of the modern demon lords are also descendants of those from my village, which boosted their natural mana capacity quite a bit, and with the fake rose thing as well...

That means that they've run out of natural methods, and without Lilith being a general, she's no longer obliged to give out any hints, I'm safer now.

The future me is able to power this machinery up and handed it to Orion to turn it on far away from home, I can't, I don't have that great of control on mana itself and I'm not that great at enchanting.

The secret to enchanting is simple, to put it in simple terms, enchanting is the equivalent of altering the law of physics, we're doing the impossible.

No one can transform a single cheap handkerchief and make it fireproof even with regular magic, you can make it wet and turn it somewhat fire-resistant, and you can create a thin layer of magic to clad the handkerchief to protect it from fire, but once the barrier is out, the handkerchief is as it was like before.

You'll have to alter the atoms and cells of the item we're trying to enchant, and that's the secret of enchanting. That's why those who specialize or with an affinity for spatial magic will be sought out by enchanters and taught to be their successors. I don't have a specialization in that area, per se, but it does help now that I know teleportation.

And the reason why this machinery requires the user to know enchanting, it's because I'm required to alter the law of space and time itself, like mortals not being able to reach the 11th star naturally, we can't alter the law of space and time naturally either.

No machine could, no artifacts or relics could, but not if the machine contained the power resembling that of a god, what powers? I don't know. but future me did say I can find out once I go to the other side as this machine in my hand is made from several gods.

For now, I just kept powering up the machinery as mana flowed into me, and the book containing the secrets of enchanting floated in the air while its pages flipped from one to another furiously as letters in the book flew up and circled around me.

And after a while, I started seeing flashes, a side effect that was told to me in the letter as well, at a certain point, by altering the law of space and time, I will be forced to look into it, the mes of other timelines, the me of the past...except one...something that I can't see is the future.

I can see many things, there's even a universe where I got white skin and blue eyes, kinda looked like a much younger and less handsome Alban. I see a universe where I'm in a universe that got some sort of tower, a universe where I'm a girl named Paris...a lot of things.

My head then started to hurt, because, after all that, I started seeing my own past. But unlike usual, instead of me seeing myself from first person, I started seeing what happened to me from 3rd person.

3rd Person POV

"Vince, are you okay?" Rylee asked

Vincent is currently clutching his head in pain, he was waving it off as a headache earlier, but now, the pain intensified to the point where it is no longer something he can wave off as a minor headache.

Rylee was concerned, they are currently on their way home from picking him up from school, Vincent did have a strange look throughout the day, he told her that it was only a minor headache, but she was starting to think otherwise.

"I'm seeing flashes." Vincent said while panting.

"I'm taking you to see healer Beek, no, I'm taking you to Lady Autumn."

Rylee got home and kicked the door open to see Asher, Ruka, Maple, and Ivy being startled from having Rylee burst into the house.

"Help, he's not feeling well and seeing things." Rylee said as she then set him on the couch."

"I see a boy...I'm talking with a boy." Vincent said between his now shortness of breath as Rylee picked him up and rushed home, "I have a case...with a needle, same boy...I'm now in the bathroom talking with this boy."
