Chapter 320: He Knows about it

Perseus POV

"The demon lord can't afford to come here on his own," Rolan concluded after inspecting the site, "He can't risk it, but this power...maybe it is the white rose, but there's no trace of the roses."

"That's fair, he's their strongest general." Lloyd agreed, "This can only be someone of a demon general level, and the white rose has a lot of power to pull that off and escape with an untraceable trail, they are a duo after all."

So Colin and Alban are now accused with barely any evidence to back them.

"You're not going to excuse Perseus? He's hailed as the next Paradis for his outstanding power at such an age." I chimed in, "The black rose can do this herself."

"No, as much as I hate to say it, it isn't him." Rolan sighs, "He's definitely busy dealing with your village's large import of materials and enchanters from that other village."

"I'm going to rest a bit then, Mr. Rolan, I'm also going to be leaving and rushing back to the village quickly to inform everyone of what possibly happened-Oh the chief's here."

They got him here quickly, all I told them was to teleport him and let Ruka brief him that I was the culprit of that, and let him quickly pull me away before they suspect me of anything.

The sight of the chief made the people here stiffen themselves up a bit, the chief put on his act quickly and approached the sight and inspect it a bit when he stared in my direction, I can see him holding his laugh a bit.

He was taking out several magical devices to inspect the mana traces or anything that was left on the scene and joined in with the mages of Zoris, based on his fake expression, the other mages looked disappointed at the lack of clues.

He came by to discuss a couple of things with Rolan and Lloyd before approaching me and saying that it was time to head back as he had seen enough of the damage.

"When can I see you again?" Lloyd asked

"I don't know, I travel a lot, but I'll be in the village for 2 weeks, just send a message through Perseus, and he can call me and inform any message you may have."

"What about my previous messages? I've sent some to his house before."

"I heard them, you were inviting me to a royal mage tryout, right?"

"And one more question before you go. Since you're a free spirit, if you had to choose, will you side with the demons or will you side with the humans?"

"I'll side with my village, I hope that that's enough of an answer for you."

We went out of range and had Leilah teleport us back to the village where I can lose my disguise. We're now gonna prepare to go to the other side and start drawing up the ritual or summoning circle or whatever.

From the looks of it, I can't use the moon powers over there, and if Cain truly has gods on his side, one trip isn't enough to destroy his plans, we're probably gonna go, come back, and destroy the demon lord before going back to finish him off once I'm finally strong enough.

"He has a crush on you." The chief commented, "Well, not you, but your persona."

"I know, it's obvious, but I can't just break it to him saying, hey, I'm actually a guy."

"Worse, you're Perseus Silver."

"I need that disguise to help me approach situations directly without being noticed, and no one can notice, you wouldn't either if we didn't tell you."

"Why a girl?"

"Would anyone suspect me of all people to dress and act like a girl?"

"If he wants to marry you, tell him to ask for my blessing first."

"You're not my dad."

"It's okay." he said as he placed his hand on my shoulder, "I know that you like to close yourself up as a form of protection, but sooner or later, you will have to let in acceptance."

"I have lesbian parents, you ain't my dad!"

"Hey! Don't disrespect your father like that!" a nearby person said, "You're lucky that the chief is an accepting person."

"He ain't my dad, that's like public knowledge!"

"Chief, don't worry, he'll accept it soon enough."

"Vince, if I say that we can go back to our previous world, would you?"

Our parents are away at the moment, and since I'm free, I spent my time with Vince as the rest are using their expertise to reverse-engineer the summoning thing.

"You got a way?" he asked

"Yes."

"...That's an easy answer, I wouldn't want to go back." he answered, "Not even for revenge, I'm happy here, I got loving parents, I got you...I got basically everything I need, why would I wanna go back?"

"Fair enough, but unfortunately if I don't, we're both gonna poof out of existence."

"What, why?"

I then told him of how we're both actually technically related like our Cain is actually my grandfather and his father while also planning to kill himself to make himself god, if he kills himself, we both would have never been born as the project probably wouldn't have started its foundation when he still has a soul.

"So I'm not only your senior in the project, but I was your uncle and I'm now your younger brother?" he repeated in a somewhat collected form of astonishment, "I'm sorry what?"

"I know, our lives are truly complicated."

"So why don't you just go to God for help?"

"Unfortunately, the almighty one not only knows that Cain is aiming for his life, but he also doesn't care, so I will have to go save his ass despite him not wanting it."

"At this point, I think that my inner Lucifer is deeply regretting the choice of going along with the idea of merging together with Vince and living again."

"Well, unfortunately, you're the only other guy I can talk about these things with."
