Epilogue: Onsen Trip (3)

Ruka POV

We came back and relaxed in the onsen after dinner. Perseus and Maple aren't here though as they decided to go on a date this late at night, just a simple walk by some scenery or something.

Maple is too simple of a girl, and that guy is also too simple, just a slight bit of affection and he'll fall for the girl hard, he's lucky that Lilith is a loyal person who follows a strict code of conduct.

Well, his ability to detect lies is probably good for him too, he's a bit of a skeptic, and having such an ability helps him prove his suspicions.

Rosa and Perseus have been closer than ever after that stupidly adorable speech of his, it's very rare to see that side of him, the side that Maple and...Dawn like while Leilah and Lilith are more into his playful side.

Rosa must have really complicated feelings, but she has told the rest of us that she will start treating our Perseus as if he was the same one from her world, they are too similar for her to ignore and that speech only reaffirms her earlier hesitations.

However, she said that she can't really show her more childish side since he is still physically younger.

Our world could have headed toward the same direction, which is frustrating, it's been a while since the war ended, but sometimes it feels like nothing's really changed.

I mean, sure, we're not actively fighting anymore, but seeing how slow things are moving with humans and demons getting along... it's frustrating, you know?

You'd think after all that bloodshed, we'd learn to just look past our differences and get along. But no, it's like everyone's stuck in their old ways, too stubborn to give peace a chance.

I see glimpses of progress here and there, small moments of cooperation and understanding, but it's not enough. We should be further along by now. We should be living in a world where humans and demons walk side by side without fear or hatred.

But instead, it's still an uphill battle, every step forward met with resistance and doubt. It's enough to make you wonder if true coexistence will ever be possible.

Hopefully Perseus marrying the goddesses will serve as some bridge...I seriously can't believe I fell for that guy...especially that god of war thing...he was too cool.
