World Menu

"Along with Harp, Oleye is considered the best talent from our world. Though both of them focus on different things, Oleye is more crucial to our world, as he's the one planning Harp's movements." Melissa said, bringing me back to our room for lunch.

She entered the kitchen to cook for us.

"I see. He certainly has the aura of someone important!" I joke around loudly, so that Melissa could hear me.

But, in my heart, I already accepted Melissa's words. Oleye really seemed like a generational talent. I quite like him especially because he's from my world!

Also, I noticed that Melissa didn't force me to act respectful to the bigshots of our world, mostly because it wasn't the right time yet.

Right now, the world had no time to care about such things, and all are considered equal.

But that would change once a sufficient number of Climbers appear from our world.

"So, tell me about this World Core thing? I thought our world didn't have a core yet?" I ask, as Melissa served lunch.

After serving me, she served herself and took seat across me.

"I'm suprised that you know about World cores and how they work?"

"I guessed." It was a simple, but logical guess. Mostly because my status showed that Alesky was a grade 0 world.

"You are correct." Melissa wasn't suprised by my guesses. She continued eating as she explained.

"As a Grade 0 world, Alesky hasn't produced a world core. But, the Infinity Dungeon is a door to infinite possibilities. I don't know what Oleye and Harp did, but they somehow awakened a world core for our world."

"But I heard that our world core is incomplete. Only when it reaches its completion would our Alesky turn into a grade 1 world."

I accept this explanation. It was reasonable that our world core was incomplete, mostly cause only grade 1 worlds could birth their world cores!

"So, what's the use of registering with the world core? And why is the world core in the Infinity Dungeon instead of being at the centre of Alesky?"

"What we have in the headquarters is just a small part of our world core. Most of the world core is in Alesky."

"As for the benefits of registration, why don't you open your status and check."

Melissa stopped our conversation and focused on her lunch, letting me check my status.

Status, I call out in my mind.

The list of options under World Menu was endless. But most of them were unopened due to my world core being incomplete. Even then, the options that are available, I'm able to use all of them!

Using common sense, I could guess that this wasn't the case for most of my fellow Climbers.

I concentrate on my Status, WonderChild to see what the description had to say.

****

WonderChild:

You are the wonder child of Alesky. Born due to unforseen, and unlikely circumstances.

You are a special existence! Unique in creation, but common in form.

Your world Authority is fixed at maximum. All functions of the world core are open to you.

****

Even the Infinity Dungeon accepts that I'm a special existence.

I don't know the circumstances behind my birth, but atleast, I've made some progress behind this mystery now.

According to the description, I'm born due to unforseen, and unlikely circumstances.

Well, I throw these unnecessary thoughts away from my mind, and concentrate on other parts of the World Menu.

World Chat was pretty simple. It allowed one to send messages to others from your world. It also has a voice chat function, so you can pretty much talk to each other. After a little bit of fumbling with world chat, I came to know that, you can either send a message to the whole group, or send it to a select few.

My thoughts itch to send a group mesage on world chat, but my other thoughts warn me not to.

These two distinct thoughts soon have a nuclear war against each other in my mind, trying to devour each other and emerge victorious.

But since both of them were my thoughts, they aren't able to outsmart the other, and thus they came to a agreement.

They would let their sub-thoughts fight it out. And the winner would devour the loser.

The thought of sending a group message sent its minion first.

It's a sub-thought of First come First serve.

Since it was first, it should win.

The second thought thought for a second, before it chose to send it's strongest sub-thought.

The sub-thought of Overconfidence.

Since, it appeared even after another thought appered, it had the right to win.

The two Sub-thoughts fought bravely, but the winner was decided even before the battle had occured.

The 'Overconfident' Sub-thought was more in tune with its master, me, than the 'First come, First Serve' Sub-thought.

Thus, it won without even blinking it's eyes, and without even sweating.

Thus, the thought of not sending the message devoured the other thought.
