Aquarain

Transportation on the tenth floor is quite easy if one had the interdimensional portal, and specific coordinates.

I get the coordinates from Oleye, and prepared to depart immediately. So I made my way towards our portal.

I met Uncle Feng and Uncle Cheng, who were still guarding the headquarters.

"Hello uncles." I wave to them happily. "I need to use the portal. Can one of you help me? It's embarrassing, but I actually don't know how to use it."

During the past month I've been regularly transporting many things to our storage from the portal, so one would assume that I would know how to use it.

But, Melissa, who was supposed to teach me never mentioned it, and I didn't have the heart to learn something that wasn't taught to me.

"You're going somewhere?" Uncle Feng was surprised. He then nodded and accompanied me to the portal, leaving Uncle Chang behind.

Once we reached the blue portal, Uncle Feng took out a few gems from his pockets.

"These are Mana stones." Uncle Feng introduced as he threw a few inside the portal.

"The interdimensional portal loves eating them. And they are also the fuel that is used to run the portal. As long as you have a bunch of these, you can run your portal indefinitely."

"There are a few things that you need to take care before using the portal." Uncle Feng said throwing a few more Mana stones inside.

"Never carry Mana Stones inside a portal. They will be absorbed by the portal as soon as you enter and thus is a huge waste of resources."

"Interdimensional travel is harsh on the human body, especially on the digestive system, so it's better to enter the portal on an empty stomach."

"It's necessary to have the specific coordinates of your destination. If you don't have specific coordinates, the portal will use all its power to send you to the farthest location possible."

"There is still much unknown about the Interdimensional portal. So, always be cautious when using it. Especially when you're travelling by yourself and not just transporting materials!" Uncle Feng's voice was grave as he seriously advised.

I keep Uncle Feng's advice in my heart. I nod to him seriously and enter the portal.

Once inside the portal, I feel as if I entered a tunnel like structure that was constantly moving.

"Infinity Dungeon, Tenth floor, Reiss system, Aquarain Hq, Portal 3." I shout out the coordinates given to me by Oleye.

Suddenly, my body, which was standing on invisible ground levitated to hover in middle of the tunnel like structure.

A few seconds later I feel that the tunnel had connected to my destination point.

Suddenly, my body, which was levitating, accelerated. It started slow, but soon picked up speed.

Before I could think, my body was going so fast that I felt as if I am light stream travelling through void.

When I opened my eyes, I'm on my knees panting heavily. My vision was blurry, and my hearing impaired.

A few seconds later, I lift my head up and the first thing that entered my vision was a huge wall, then a bunch of bridges, before the noise of my surroundings hit my ears.

Closing my eyes, I take a few seconds to adjust to the side effects of interdimensional travel.

I look back and see the portal that I came through. Unlike the small portal we had at our Hq, this portal was five times larger.

Looking to its side, I found another four such portals, each spaced quite far from each other.

Looking to my front, I see a bridge full of people. They were entering the inside of the huge wall through this bridge.

I notice that there are 5 such bridges. Each bridge corresponding to a portal.

Even as I was studying my surroundings, the portal behind me was constantly transporting new travellers out.

I get up, having adjusted my body condition, and join the others on the bridge.

I notice that the huge walls are covered by water on all sides. So the actual Aquarain headquarters was located on a huge island!

By just the sheer size of the island, I estimate that the headquarters of Aquarain is the size of a small city.

Compared to our rock like headquarters, it's like a mountain.

It seems that I have underestimated the power held by Grade 1 worlds.

But that's ok as I have the chance to correct myself.

Soon, the crowd on my bridge moves forward and exit the bridge. There were only a few meters of distance to the gates of the huge walls, but before we enter inside, we need to be verified.

There was a security room to the side and few persons who were in taking some details on their notebooks and issuing some things to the travellers.

When it was my turn, the person looked at me and questioned.

"Name, World, Purpose of visit, Duration of Stay."

"White, Alesky, Participation of Rookie competition. Until Rookie competition." I answer clearly.

The person noted down my answer in his notebook and pointed me towards a side.

"Go and meet Heller. He will tell you the corresponding details."

Looking at the direction he was pointing, I notice a middle aged man, with a overgrown beard standing there.

I make my way to him, who was surrounded by three others, and politely introduce myself. I also mention the purpose of my visit once again.

"What's your path?" Heller asked, stroking his overgrown beard.

"Body path." I answer honestly.

Heller squinted his eyes, studying me up and down. After a while he shook his head, maybe cause he was disappointed with me, and handed me a map.

"You will be under Selena in the rookie competition. I've marked her house on the map. Find your way to her, and listen to her orders from now on."

With that Heller ignored me.

I'm not bothered by Heller's lack of respect for the guest. I thank him, and look at the map.

The map was quite comprehensive of the Aquarian headquarters. But I noticed that most of the facilities were restricted.

For example, the Central Library, the Training Arena, and the five Headquarters.

Yes, Aquarain apparently had five Headquarters!

But excluding the important areas, I'm allowed to roam as I see free.

There were also two markets that are very popular and sold various things that are open for everyone.

But, the Residential area was strictly restricted. Unless you have the explicit invitation of the owner, you're not allowed to trespass on other's home.

Currently, I can roam around the two markets, or make my way to Selena's house.

But I don't have any gold on me which is the most popular currency on tenth floor.

I haven't asked Oleye to give me any money, and he hadn't given any on his own. So I'm broke.

So, my destination can only be Selena's house.

But before that, I look at the three beside Heller. They had been looking at me for sometime, trying to awkwardly start a conversation.

Smiling I extend my hand to one of them.

"Hello, I'm White from Alesky, may I know who you are?"

The person was stunned for a second before he extended his hand and shook mine.

"My name is Am. I'm from Roughwood. These two are my freinds. They are Al, and Ax."

Nice names. I inwardly compliment them.

"I'm not familiar with Aquarain, can you guide me?" I ask, trying to get close to them.
