The Downfall Of Gabriel

"Fuck, this is not the time! You have got bad timing, Luke!" Gabriel cussed when his phone wouldn't stop ringing. He did not answer it. There was no time.

"Gabriel, what is going on?!" Zoe was no longer comfortable, especially with him holding onto her wrist so tight he was beginning to bruise her.

"The guns are upstairs but I don't know how much time we have left," Jackson said.

"Guns?!" Zoe's eyes were so wide now it was close to popping out of its socket. What were they doing with a gun? She stared at Gabriel as if finally seeing him in a new light and wasn't so sure she knew him anymore.

But Gabriel did not answer her, saying hurriedly to Jackson instead, "Get the weapons. I'll try to find a way to hide her."

"Hide me?" Zoe muttered after him just as Jackson moved with deft speed, leaving just the both of them.

"Stop it, Gabriel!" She wrung her arm out of his grip when he wouldn't give her the answers she wanted.
