Chapter 5: New Place

Hacho Village.

At this moment, a boy was walking leisurely, while heading in the direction of the Hacho Village. Before long, he reached the entrance of the village. As he stepped into the village, a guard stopped him and blocked the entrance, so that he could not enter.

"Boy stop over there. Identify yourself." said the guard.

"Hello. I'm Uzumaki Zokuto. would you be willing to let me become one of your villagers?"

"Too bad kid. We have no right to give citizenship. Only the higher-ups can grant such privilege to you." said another guard beside the one who blocked the entrance.

Zokuto was amused seeing them diligently replying to his question. He then asked, "Then, can you inform your higher up about this?"

The guard looked at each other before one of them nodded.

"Wait here kid. I will go inform the village head." The guard who nodded walked away toward the center building in the Village.

"How old are you kid? Where are you from and where is your parent?" the guard who stayed took the initiative to have a conversation with Zokuto.

"I am five this year. I run away from Konoha. About my parent, I heard they died during the time when the Kyuubi attacked the village." Zokuto answered without showing any emotion.

The Kyuubi in his body opened it's eyes. He felt a little guilty towards Zokuto. The kid lost his parent because of him.

[A/N: As the Kyuubi is showing a human-like behavior and tendency, I would like to change it's status from 'It', to a more human like calling, such as he, his, and him.]

'Konoha? How did a five year old kid manages to bypass the guards who are on duty at the Konoha village perimeter?' the guard looked warily towards Zokuto.

Not long after the guard looked for the higher-ups, a group of people walked toward them from the village. A woman in her twenties approached Zokuto, and stopped in front of the boy.

"Tell me who are you? What is a kid from Konoha doing here?" the women pointed her sword toward Zokuto, and questioned the boy's intention to come to the village.

"You know, you should not point your sword toward a kid. That thing is dangerous, and a bad influence for kid." said Zokuto, smiling.

Hearing that, the woman was surprised. She then put away her sword but her hand is still holding the sword handle.

"Answer my question."

"Thats better. Well, I'm Kyuubi's Jinchuuriki from Konoha."

The moment he said that, all the people nearby showed a shocked expression. Some frowned, some paled, and some showed a dangerous flash in their eyes. Everyone showed a great vigilance towards Zokuto. Many of them took out their weapon, and readied themselves to face any sudden attack.

"Hey hey. Calm down. Let me explain first." said the sweating Zokuto. Are they really that afraid of a Jinchuuriki? I'm just a kid Jinchuuriki. It's not like I came here to harm people.

"Calm down everyone." the woman signalled for everyone to put away their weapon.

Seeing the gesture, everyone followed her command. The woman then said to Zokuto, "Explain."

"Something happen in Konoha, and I decided to run away from the village. So, here I am." Zokuto briefed his reason. He was skipping many details, as to avoid leaking to much info to the other party. He added, "You can send someone to check there."

The woman was surprised with the calm attitude that was displayed by the kid. However, she was not the type to just believe any information given by strangers.

"Shinju, you go, and check the situation on Konoha. Check whether what he says is true."

"Roger." the man called Shinju cupped his hand, and immediately run toward Konoha to do his task.

"If what you said is true, then, why did you choose to come here? What is your motive?" The woman questioned the little boy.

"I actually has no real destination to go after escaping from Konoha. I wandered around, and happen to found this place." said Zokuto in embarrassment. It was true that he found this village unintentionally. This place look safe and a bit hidden. So, it's an ideal place for him to stay.

"By the way, you don't have to be wary about Kyuubi. Nowadays, he is behaving really good. I can tell you that he is a friendly Bijuu." As Zokuto remembered that a Bijuu is a big threat to any village, he spoke up for Kurama, intending to tell the woman that the beast is no threat.

Kurama in his body grunted, but did not refute his word.

'A perfect Jinchuuriki? What did the shinobi of Konoha thinking by driving away a perfect Jinchuuriki from their village?' the woman was surprised and confused about the action of Konoha. Letting out a perfect Jinchuuriki from their village is akin to weaken their own power. The woman stared deeply at Zokuto, and asked, "Show me your Bijuu."

"Okay. Hei Kurama, she want to see you. Come out for a second." Zokuto communicated telepathically with Kurama.

"Brat, don't just casually call my name." Kurama groaned in dissatisfaction. However, he still let out some of his bijuu chakra. With that, Zokuto transformed into two tailed beast form. However, his transformation is not the one with red chakra and wild emotion. The transformation made him shine, and have a golden bijuu cloak with the aura of a two tailed beast.

Zokuto smiled at the woman, saying, "So, what do you think?"

'The boy really is a perfect Jinchuuriki!' the woman exclaimed in surprise. 'What is really going on with Konoha? Did those geezers turned senile by letting this Jinchuuriki escape?'

"Look like you are telling the truth. Then, if I let you stay in the village, can you promise that you will not endenger the villagers?"

"I promise. However, this promise will be invalid if the villagers attacked me first." Zokuto readily accepted the condition. However, he stated his own condition.

The woman looked deeply into Zokuto's eyes. A moment later she turned back and walked into the village.

"Follow me then."

Zokuto followed her toward the village. An elevated building could be seen standing high in the center of the village. The two walked for some distance before they reached, and entered the building.

"Shiseru, didn't I tell you to just drive away that kid? Why did you bringing him here?" An old man with a mustache stared at the woman unhappily.

"Sir Disonasu, I already checked and made sure the boy is not harmful. He wanted to stay in the village. So, why not just let him in?" Shiseru didn't care the man's attitude. She just explained what she did.

"Do you think I am deaf? He is a Jinchuuriki who run away from Konoha. Sooner or later, they will come here to retrieve him. And when they did, do you think they will do it peacefully?" Disonansu glared the woman.

"Sir Disonasu. I will take responsibility. So, let him stay." Shiseru did not back down.

"You are not listening to what I just said. He will endanger our village." shouted Disonasu angrily.

"Sir, I will take responsibility."

Disonasu was shocked with the woman attitude. It seems like she really wanted the Jinchuuriki to stay.

"Haah. Up to you then. Take him away, and remember, he is your responsibility." said the village head, waving his hand.

"Thank you sir." Shiseru bowed a bit before she brought Zokuto away.

'This woman is too soft toward kids. I hope she will not be the downfall of the village.' thought Disonasu.

As for Zokuto was surprised with Shiseru. He didn't expect her to stand for him. His impression towards the woman become a bit better.

After getting out of the building, Zokuto followed Shiseru toward the east side of the village.

"That woman seems to have a soft spot for kids." Kurama in Zokuto's body also commented when he saw the woman stand for Zokuto.

"I can see that." Zokuto was surprised with Kurama's sudden comments. However, he agreed with the beast. "For now, let's stay in this village."

"Oh, you seems to not want to live here permanently."

"I will stay here as long as there is no danger. However, it doesn't mean that I want to stay here forever. For the time being, I will be staying here, and try to improve myself. That way, I don't need to run away again if I ever get in trouble."

"How are you going to do that?"

"Well, you are here with me. Kurama, can you teach me?"

"I knew you will ask. Well, let me sort out whatever I know about the way you kind train." said Kurama calmly. However, he was very happy being asked to be a teacher.

"Zokuto right, this is my house. You will be staying here for the time being. Three days from now, I will bring you to my friend's house in Tonika Village." At this time, the woman spoke to Zokuto, interrupting his talk with Kurama.

Zokuto looked in front, and saw a simple wooden house. He didn't care much about the house and just nodded, "Okay Shiseru-san."

"By the way, there are no one in this village or in Tonika Village who knows ninjutsu. So, If you wanted to learn any ninjutsu of this village, I am sorry to say that there is none." Shiseru informed Zokuto. If we know ninjutsu, I would not got this big scar. Shiseru's eyes flashed with sadness as she thought of the past. She involuntarily touched her stomach.

"That's fine. I still got Kurama." Zokuto did not really mind. 'I also still have four tame bijuu with me', he added in his mind.

Three days later, Zokuto and Shiseru headed toward Tonika Village. The village they were heading to was on a land inside a big hole. The only way for them to go into it is by using an elevator like vehicle, which will help them to climb down the wall of the big hole. Well, it was not a problem for Zokuto as he is a ninja. He could just walk down the wall if he wanted to, which he refrained from doing so.

After climbing down the wall, they walked directly toward the house that Shiseru said to be her friend's house.

"Dokku, are you there?" she knocked while calling for a name.

"Ah! Shiseru? Is that you?" A man's voice came from the house. A moment later, the door was opened, and a man around twenty one to twenty four years old opened the door.

"It's really you. Welcome home Shiseru." The man smiled happily when he saw Shiseru. However, he was surprised to see a kid was following her. "Huh!? Who is that kid?"

"He is Zokuto. He has no parent, so I took him here. I hope that you could take care of him." Explained Shiseru.

"Again? Are you adopting him?" Dokku already known Shiseru for a long time. So, he could guess her intention of bringing another kid.

"...You could say that." Shiseru replied, a bit embarrassed for doing this again.

"Hello son. Come, come inside." Dokku did not think further. He just let Zokuto and Shiseru into the house.

The next day, Zokuto went to explore the village. In here, he could see the main economy in the village is catching fish, and blacksmithing. The villagers are proficient in making armory and weaponry, especially sword. They usually take these 'commodity' and sell it outside of the village, through merchants that often came to visit here.

Another thing is that the people here are really as Shiseru said. They don't practise, nor do they know any ninjutsu. They mainly fight with kenjutsu or taijutsu. 'Hmm, should I start teaching them some ninjutsu? Those wall is pretty high and might be dangerous for the villagers when climbing up and down from it.' thought Zokuto. 'Let's find a good place for training, before we think about the village.' He then climbed the wall and out of the big hole which encapsule the Tonika Village.

Konoha, Hokage's office.

An anbu entered the Hokage's office.

"Have you found the whereabout of the Jinchuuriki?"

"Hokage-sama, there is a trail of him going to the direction of Kirigakure. However, we lost the trail after we reach the sea."

"Sigh. This kid really is cautious." sighing, Hiruzen looked out of the window in contemplation. 'Just where the heck did he run off to?'

"Keep searching. Send some spy into Kiri to find out whether he entered that village or not."

"Yes sir." The anbu then disappeared.

"If he let those four bijuu out, it would be a disaster to whichever village he goes to. Hopefully it will not happen. Otherwise, the other village will take this chance to blame it to Konoha, and launch another shinobi war." Hiruzen looked into the distance worriedly.

Pshiu!

A silver haired anbu appeared out of nowhere.

Hiruzen didn't turn around as he already know who it was. "Have you been keeping an eye on Naruto?"

"Yes."

"Any abnormality on his side?"

"Well, he is doing some training."

"What training?"

"...It's look like he is training the same jutsu that his brother performed in the golden screen." Kakashi looked at the backside of the Sandaime and reported.

The Sandaime turned around in surprise. A moment later, he gave out his command, "Just continue on watching that boy."

Kakashi then left.

'Golden screen...what is that thing? Just what is it trying to achieve? Is it trying to stir some trouble into this world? Is there another force trying to seize this shinobi world?'
