Chapter 25: Second Round of Chuunin Competition

One day passes by on the floating platform. All the participant gathered on the floating platform.

- The second round of Chuunin Competition will be starting now. In this round, participant will be transported into a fighting arena. Each participant will be fighting against beasts. On the fighting arena, there are several waves of beast, which start from the weakest wave to the strongest wave of beast.

"Ohh! This is interesting. I cannot wait to challenge those beasts" ssid Natsu excitedly.

"You challenging those beasts? I can already imagine you being stamped by the first beast wave." mocked Deidara.

"What do you know. Instead, you will be the one that going to be stamped first by those beast."

"Hoo. Let's make a bet then. Do you dare?"

"What bet?"

"Whoever challenges the most beast waves will become the winner. The winner then will take the loser's Gold Light. Are you in?" Deidara hold out his hand.

"You bet."

Natsu accepted the bet and shook Deidara's hand. They then looked at each other with a spark of rivalry.

- Rule of second round: Participant who is dead or deemed no longer able to fight will be transported back to the Preparation Platform. Also in this round, the strongest 16 who killed most beasts, will enter the third round. Notice: Everyone who entered the third round, will be listed in the [New Chuunin Rank]. The participant is now being transported into the fighting arena.

Each participant then got teleported to their own fighting arena.

#First wave in 5 minute.

"That should be enough for me to prepare." said Kubo. "Sensei said that when waiting for an opponent, it best to set a trap or an ambush. So, let set some trap before those beast come out."

He then took out several thing out of a seal storage. Most of them are just explosion tags. However, there are also some other items like smoke bomb, poison and barbed wire. He took these items and made a quick trap before the five minute time is up.

"I hope that I don't need the trap too soon." whispered Kubo.

The same thing is happening with the people in Zokuto's influence. Kara, Jun and Mirin is Zokuto's disciple. These kid took it seriously on setting up trap the first thing they appeared in their fighting platform.

However, not everyone have the thought to do so. Other than Zokuto's group, almost all the rest participant did not do so. They just stayed and waited for the five minute to end.

'We can gain a Gold Light after killing the beast? Nice!' is the thought of all the participant. With this, there is still a chance for them to exchange for those items in the Totem Vendor, especially those dojutsus.

On Zokuto's side, he doing something else. The responsibility of fighting beast waves was thrown to his clones.

"So, we are out again." Zokuto A.

"It's nice to exist again." Zokuto B.

"I remember you two. You are A and B." said Zokuto D.

The other clones flinched when they heard the punishment, and suconsciously defended their butt. "Agreed!" However, these naughty clones still agreed.

"Sigh, you guys. Rather than thinking such bet, can you just focus on completing the given task?" Zokuto C.

"Shut up C. You are also included in the bet." said the other clones, making C subconsciously defend his butt.

"Hei Zokuto, are they really your clones? Why does it seems like they are developing more and more of their own personality?" asked Kurama, sweating when he sees those clones arguing on a bet.

"I don't know. It doesn't matter much to me. As long as they could do what I ask them, then that's good." Zokuto.

"You are too careless. Well, whatever. By the way, what are you going to do with those bijuu chakra?"

"I want to make a ten tail chakra body. According to what I know, having nine bijuu doesn't mean already having ten tail bijuu. Hagoromo created you guys from a Jyuubi. That's mean, to create another Jyuubi, I need enough bijuus. After that, I need to fuse all of said bijuus so that I can have a Jyuubi." explained Zokuto. He added "However, this method will cause your soul to fuse too, creating a new soul entity."

Hearing that, all Zokuto's Bijuu flinched.

"Don't worry. I also don't want that to happen. That's why I want to create a ten tail chakra body first. After I succeeded, I will then transfer your soul in it." said Zokuto, comforting his bijuus.

"Zokuto-kun, you should have said that earlier. I almost got a heart attack." said Saya. "Well, I support the idea of making us transform into a Jyuubi. That way, no one will gonna bully us."

'I don't think anyone is willing to bully us.' thought the other bijuu.

Zokuto then focused his attention to fuse all the bijuus' chakra body that he get from his bijuu.

'System, is all this bijuus chakra body enough to create the ten tailed chakra body?'

Zokuto was surprised when he saw the price. 'System, are you trying to scam me?'

'I see.' Zokuto nodded. He felt that the system reasoning is acceptable. 'Then system, can you increase the Gold Light reward for killing beast in my arena?'

[That is against the system rules. However, system can select a much powerful beast for you to fight and gain more Gold Light. The limit to this is there are only 10 beast for each wave.]

On the center of the arena, the clones easily decimated the ten beast. Each clone managed to kill two beast. The killed beast then disappeared, leaving a ball of Gold Light.

This scene also happened on the other fighting arena. Everyone managed to kill every genin level beast, and got a total of 10GL.

#Second beast wave.

"Wait, what? We are already fighting against Chuunin level beast?"

Everyone was shocked with this notice. Another 10 beast is already out to fight each participant on their arena. In this second wave, most of the participant was killed by these Chuunin level beast without mercy. Although the beasts are only at the chuunin level, they are naturally more powerful than a chuunin ninja. Thus, when a soon to become Chuunin participant fought these beast, the participant obviously got killed.

There are exception though. Those guy who have eye ability, kekkei genkai talent, or have bijuu with them are able to hold on and still trying to defeat their opponent. Listed in this category are Naruto, Neji, Hinata, Haku, Kimimaro, Kroku, Gaara, Chojuro, Kurotsuchi, Natsu, Deidara and Zokuto.

Other then them, there is still Zokuto's disciple - Kara, Jun, Mirin and Kubo. These four learned the Sage Mode after they completed their mission to recruit and escort the Sabaku sibling. Under Zokuto's guidance, they learned the ninjutsu and are able to use it. Adding to the fact that they prepared some trap beforehand, they managed to hold on and kill some of the Chuunin level beast.

On Zokuto's arena, the clones is greatly shocked with the power of the beast they are fighting with.

"Hei guys, I think there is a problem here." Zokuto B.

"I think so too. These beast is too powerful. Are they really a Chuunin level beast?" Zokuto D.

"There must be a mistake...ops! Almost got me there. Hei, there are too fast too!" Zokuto A almost get clawed by a dinosaur like beast.

"They can talk too? This is bad" said Zokuto E.

"Guys, stop talking and just kill the beast." Zokuto C.

"Don't talk as if you already killed...he already killed his opponent?" the other clones was stunned when they looked at Zokuto C's direction. C just finished killing his two opponent. "Good luck guys." he then rested and meditated to replenish his energy.

"Guys, I think your opponents are at Jonin level beast. I can see that their chakra amount are more than just the level of chakra for any Jonin." said Nero on Zokuto's side.

"That's is really the case!" screamed the four clones. However, they stopped complaining when they saw Zokuto C already finished his opponent. They started to attack aggresively, and ended up defeating their beast opponent.
