"So how are things going with the Queen?" A man asked.
"Well." Leslie plainly answered.
"I thought you've changed. You are still a man of few words. I heard from the servants who followed you to her place how well you talked there, when they explained it to me I was quite surprised. I mean you don't talk much." He added.
"Are you done?" Leslie asked.
"Yeah." He answered.
"Then you can leave." Leslie said as he pushed him out.
"Ouch. That brat, he doesn't know what they call Friendship. How the hell have I been keeping up with him since these days? I wonder how." He said.
There was a knock on the door
"Yes, who is it?" Leslie asked.
"Can I come in just this once? I really had something to ask." He said again with a baby face.
"What's your problem Turstin?" Leslie asked.
"Let me in this once." Turstin pleaded.
"Then this will be the last time!" Leslie stated.
"What do you mean? Are we not friends?" Turstin asked.
"You know what, come in." Leslie said.
"Okay." Turstin said.
"So what?" Leslie asked.
"Now am being serious. What exactly is the matter?" Turstin asked.
"What do you mean?" Leslie asked back.
"I mean, you were excited when you were going to pick her up, I mean it's not that she is the first woman ever but the fact that you are going to be more powerful made you happy but now reverse is the case, you are not that excited." Turstin said.
"Nothing much, it's just that things are not how I expected. She doesn't have any power, except for her sharp ears, she's got nothing else." Leslie explained.
"Why? That's bad. But you heard the history, it's not her fault. Be honest with me, did she have the sharp ears before you met her?" Turstin asked.
"No but..." Leslie said.
"No buts my friend. You said it yourself that she didn't have that quality before and she got it recently, that means her powers will come to her gradually. Trust my hunch." Turstin said.
"But how will we take over that idiot if she lacks her power. It's frustrating. I thought things will be okay now but it's worse." Leslie explained.
"Do you love her?" Turstin asked.
"Am not sure." Leslie answered.
"What!! You are not sure? You need to be, Because if you love her then you'll have faith in her, and if you do, you'll trust her that her powers are coming soon and also, if you don't love her, it's sure that you won't trust her not even a bit. So think it through, do you love her or not? Your answer will tell you if there is hope or not." Turstin explained
"But..."
"No buts Leslie, think it through." Turstin said.
"Now that bring me to my next question. What about Shaye?" Turstin asked.
"I don't know what to do about her." Leslie answered.
"Wait guy, are you mad? Your wife is here now, don't tell me you will still do out with Shaye." Turstin said.
"I don't know what to do. But I told Shaye not to expect anything from me. She knows about my bride to be. The Queen of the Saint. She should understand that there will be nothing between us anymore now that she is here." Leslie explained.
"Where did you sleep last night?" Turstin asked.
"Well, uhm..." Leslie said Stammering.
"You see, things will get worse than this. You slept at Shaye place, how do you expect her to know that you have a wife and that there will be nothing between you two?" Turstin asked.
"You are asking way too much question." Leslie said.
"I know I am, I am your friend anyway." Turstin answered.
"No you are my right hand." Leslie answered.
"I was your friend before I became your right hand, and you practically begged me to be your right hand. Now back to what I was saying, you still love Shaye right?" Turstin asked.
"No, I just feel comfortable around her." Leslie asked.
"And what about Lyn?" Leslie asked.
"Who is Lyn?" Leslie asked.
"See what I am talking about, you always call her Lyn anytime you go to check on her from afar, now you are asking me who Lyn is." Turstin said sulking.
"Why are you taking the matter seriously. It's my business." Leslie said.
"Your business is mine as well."Turstin said.
"Whatever." Leslie said.
"Think about this matter over night." Turstin said as he stood up to leave.
"Wait!" Leslie said.
"What?" Turstin asked.
"I wanna ask you something." Leslie said.
"Which is?" Turstin said as he took his seat.
"It's about Roseline,my betrothed. She got angry when she heard that we would be getting married when she turn eighteen." Leslie said.
"Which is when?" Turstin asked.
"Three days from now." Leslie answered.
"How can you be so inhumane. Why would you tell her this now. It's a shocking news to her and even me. She is human for crying out loud." Turstin said.
"So what do I do?" Leslie asked.
"I can't believe the Alpha asking me what to do. Well, the only thing you can do is go to her and talk it out with her. Tell her it is very important and it has to be now. Say you are sorry she heard it from others and not you." Turstin explained.
"I should plead with her?" Leslie asked.
"Yes, can you not do it?" Turstin asked.
"You know what, just leave." Leslie said.
"Okay bye. But I know you would do what I said, because you love her." Turstin said and left.
"I love her. Do I? Confusion. Do you love her? Leslie, do you? Not sure" Leslie asked himself.
"This is the first time ever that I don't know what to do. It's frustrating. How can a king plead with someone. No I won't." Leslie said to himself as he close his eyes
