-LEENA-
“Come on, Alec. You’ll never heal if you don’t get up.” I push at Alec as he sits up on the bed, but I only get him as far as he lets me.
I’ve been trying to encourage Alec to get out of bed for a few days now, but every time I think he’s going to get up and start limping around, he shakes his head and says he’s not ready yet. The Marea healer said he should be fine to get up any day now, so my best guess is that he doesn’t want to get up.
“I hurt, Leena,” he says, but the curl on the edge of his lips tells a different story.
“Oh, I don’t doubt that, Alec. But I also know that staying in bed for days on end isn’t good for you. Women pump out twins and are on their feet quicker than this.”
Alec scoffs, but he looks amused, “You’re obviously forgetting I’m a wolf, we heal differently.”
“Yeah,” I say, continuing to shove him until his legs are off the edge of the bed, but barely, “Which means you should be up faster.”
